"The location of the hotel is close to Yudanaka Station,only 4-minute walk.The twin room is spacious and comfortable,but the area near the window is slightly cold.The onsen is clean and spacious.View woman outdoor onsen ia great,can clearly see the mountains.The kaiseki dinner was very deicious.We are very impressed with Tsubakino Hotel."

"Love this ryokan! The service was just amazing! We arrived the ryokan feeling cold and asked where we could get some heat pads and was told that since the ryokan provides free shuttle to train station, they could send us to convenient store. And before it, the staff came back with some mini heat pads for us to use for the meanwhile. There was also paid shuttle to snow monkey park (500 yen per pax one way) that you can arrange with them. We had a tatami room, it was spacious and the staff came to the room to do the check in and served tea and welcome snack to us. The ryokan guests are entitled to go to nine onsens around the area for free. The ryokan provides yukatas and all necessities for it. The meals were sumptuous and super yummy. Overall, a fantastic ryokan experience for us!"

"유다나카역에 도착하여 핸드폰으로 전화를 걸으려고 했었으나 전화가 되지 않아 역직원 분의 도움으로 송영서비스를 요청 할 수 있었구요 시간이 얼마 걸리지 않아 직원분이 오셔서 빠르고 편하게 이동 할 수 있었어요. 도착했을때부터 문앞까지 나와서 친절하게 응대해주셨고 근처 온천 투어, 료칸 시설물 이용에 대해서 친절하게 잘 설명해주었어요. 저희는 4인 가족(성인:2명, 아이:2명)인데 숙소는 작지 않았어요 입실 당일 저녁식사와 다음날 아침식사가 제공이 되었구요 식사는 너무 맛있게 잘 먹었구 음식을 서빙하시는 직원분들도 너무 친절하셨어요. 저녁식사를 마치고 방에 돌아오면 포근한 이불이 셋팅되어 있어서 편안하게 쉴 수 있어요. 다음날 퇴실할때도 송영서비스를 통해 원숭이공원으로 이동이 가능했구요 전체적으로 직원분들이 다들 너무 친절하셔서 기분이 좋았어요 시설도 깨끗하고 주변에 볼거리도 많아서 다음에 꼭 다시 가고 싶은 곳이에요 다른 분들에게도 적극 추천합니다"

"Authentic Onsen Experience at Biyunoyado
Our family had a wonderful stay at Biyunoyado, a great choice for experiencing an authentic Japanese onsen. The service was excellent, and the hotel even offers a shuttle bus to the Snow Monkey Park and station (though we didn’t use it since we drove). The staff were very friendly and spoke both Chinese and English, making communication easy.
The onsen was a highlight, providing a relaxing and traditional experience. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast. The only downside was that the room was a bit small, with limited space for luggage.
Overall, Biyunoyado is a fantastic place for those looking to experience Japanese hospitality, great service, and a soothing onsen."

An amazing little Ryoukan in a lovely town with fantastic owners.
This ryoukan is a traditional old fashioned style with a lovely private onsen in pictures
The room was large and your right on top of one of the 9 onsens.
As a ryoukan in the town you will have access to the 9 healing onsens which you can use at your leisure and complete the denyouko towel for blessings
The onsen is run by a lovely lady who is really friendly.
Typical Amenities included plus free yukata and geta to borrow whilst your walking between hot springs plus free cold milk which is just heavenly after a hot soak. Honestly the cold milk really made my day!! 🥰
Air conditioning was very effective considering the size of the room and the breakfast was too much to finish and offered a taste of everything
Lastly you are on top of the onsens as soon as you step out and monkey park is a 25 minute walk north but talk with the Owner, she has a link to the Monkey security cameras so can tell you ahead of time if theres any up there to see currently (i went during Estrus season so no monkeys for me)
When it came to checkout the lady gave me a small bento of Onigiri and Pastries and even drove me down to the local station
10/10 would stay again"

"The rooms are great and spacious for traditional rooms. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. What's more, the ryokan is close to the station, which is really convenient. It's no fuss and really efficient. They have a bus to take you to Monkey Mountain as well as offering to lend us skis. Unfortunately, I injured my knee just beforehand so I wasn't able to take advantage of it, but it's a really rare service. We'd definitely recommend this hotel!"

"It's a 10 mins walk uphill from train station so maybe better to try to contact them for a complimentary pick up.
The place is super grand and 2 onsens. A Instagram worthy one that the males and females get to use it at different timings. The shower stuff in the onsen are mediocre though. No fancy facial stuff for women unlike some other onsens at this price range.
We had breakfast and dinner for the 2 nights. And well worth it. But you have to follow a fixed timing and we felt a bit rushed but otherwise it was really great and service perfect.
We had one the biggest rooms I believe Room 716. Had a sitting area and also a sleeping area. Easily fits 8 persons. We were only 2. In the day they kept the futons and brought it out at night. Towels changed every night.
There is a van that goes straight to Mount Yokoteyama ski resort. The receptionist didn't seem to know about it but you could try to Google. It was a complimentary ride to and fro if you bought the lift tickets. Took only like 30 mins to get there. You can get rentals at hotels there."

"Реальность превзошла ожидания, отель оказался лучше чем я думала. Очень удобный номер для семьи и маленьким ребенком! Есть индивидуальный источник для семьи по предварительной записи, немного маловато времени для использования но в целом супер! Качественная и вкусная еда, разнообразно. Есть возможность продления пребывания за 1000 иен в час, с ребенком это супер удобно. Не совсем чисто в коридорах отеля из за старости но в номере чисто и хорошо."

MMisafir KullanıcıHad a lovely experience there tatami room and the nice sized rooms. Wish I had chose the food option but there were a few decent restaurants in the area. The private onsen was very nice and a bonus I lost almost 2 kilos just from using the onsen. It was great to wallk around the little town in wooden slippers and Yukata. Even spotted some of the Snow Monkeys in the town.

MMisafir KullanıcıLocation is great, hotel provides shuttle transfer to and from station, and also transfer to Snow Monkey Park. The email communication is very slow, but can simply give them a call the day before to book the shuttle bus, the receptionist can all speak simple English.
We booked the very basic room which the bathroom is very tiny, upgrade your room if you can.

JJarl SolangeA beautiful ryokan that offers a respite from the crowds at the monkey pool. The service was flawless, the food was amazing and the onsen a highlight for my partner. I liked the snow-covered garden and the view of the mountains from my balcony.
Be aware that the ryokan is family friendly so you may be eating your nine-course kaiseki to the sounds of screaming toddlers.

MMisafir KullanıcıIt was a great stay. The staff was super friendly and spoke English. The had parking vallet, provided an outfit to change into and roam outside. The hot springs was super relaxing and great for the feet and body. We tried five of their private hot spring rooms out of the many more they had, some had super hot water while others were warm. The outside room hot springs were beautifully decorated. They gave us access to the 9 public onsens that had different minerals in the for body healing. At night it was even more beautiful with the night walk and the town puts on a beautiful show and night market. Super glad we booked the stay.

L’atmosfera è informale e gentile: ci hanno fornito chiavi, ciabattine tipiche e la yukada personale. Colazione inclusa con un panino davvero gustoso, e lo staff è stato gentilissimo anche quando siamo arrivati in ritardo: ci hanno comunque offerto da mangiare.
I bagni e le docce sono in comune ma sempre puliti. L’unico vero limite è il futon a terra, che può risultare scomodo, soprattutto per chi soffre di allergie o asma a causa della moquette. Per fortuna ci hanno cambiato i cuscini dopo la prima notte, migliorando molto il comfort.
Nel complesso, un’esperienza autentica, amichevole e consigliata, adatta sia a viaggiatori zaino in spalla che a famiglie

But to my surprise, it offered full service—just like the more expensive ryokans I’ve stayed at before!
They even provided a pickup service from the train station, which I forgot to book. Luckily, a Western couple sitting next to me on the train had reserved it. When I saw the “Hotel Housei” sign on the van outside the station, I hopped in!
The hotel is a bit far from the station and involves walking up and down hills, so carrying luggage all the way would have been quite tough. I was really fortunate to catch that ride!
Cherry blossoms were in full bloom along the river, just a few steps from the hotel—such a beautiful sight.
The room wasn’t large, but it had enough space and was very comfortable.
The elderly gentleman at the front desk seemed to speak multiple languages—he even knew some Thai! He was incredibly friendly and welcoming.
The onsen was wonderful. The indoor bath was a bit too hot for me, but the outdoor bath was cooler and more relaxing.
Breakfast was a buffet, which was decent.
In conclusion, this place was absolutely worth it.
Next time, if I go skiing in Shiga Kogen or bring someone to see the snow monkeys, I’ll definitely remember to book the pick-up and drop-off service in advance!

MMisafir KullanıcıExcellent location next to ski lift at Sun Valley. 3 mins walk to the local bus station with buses going to Nagano Station direct (express service) or Yudanaka station.
Room and bath room (2 basins and 1 sink) are spacious - we had 3 futons and 2 single beds for our family of 5. They may be a little dated but very clean. Room has a view to outside snowy forest during our time.
Highlights of our stay:
Half board meals - authentic Japanese! Big portions and lots of pretty and dishes served! Free coffee everyday in late afternoon.
Service was impeccable - the front desk lady (very friendly and excellent service disposition) , and the elderly folks who served in the restaurant - thumbs up!

TTanin PhannithiEasy to go to Giant Ski Area because there is a slope to ski area directly. But I don't recommend for beginner to go ski area from this slope. And you can't go back to the hotel from this way, you have to go back by gondola to Yamanoeki and walk 300m. Too far if you walk with skies or snowboard.
Yukata is not free of charge, you have to pay 300 yens for rent. There is a shower room in your room but you can't use it because there is ONLY cold water(hot water doesn't work).
Some breakfast menu is not enough for customers. But dinner is ok.

宮宮田雪嵐這家店的女主人非常年輕漂亮、笑容滿面！氣質很好👌👍！我走訪這個「溫泉街」確實這「猿」青年旅館的價位最親民！附上拍攝的照片。一個晚上一個人不到一千台幣！這這樣的溫泉旅館真的很便宜了！The hostess of this shop is very young and beautiful with a smile on her face! The temperament is very good👌👍! I visited this ”hot spring street” and indeed the price of this ”ape” youth hostel is the most affordable! Attached are the photos taken. It's less than 1,000 Taiwan dollars per person per night! This kind of hot spring hotel is really cheap!
