"Hotel feels new (unlike a lot of hotels in Shiga kogen) outdoor onsen is great but abit small. Food is also excellent. The rooms are also clean and warm! However it is not ski in ski out and the bus stop is quite a distance away. It is quite cumbersome to walk with luggages and ski gear. And hotel do not provide any shuttle."

"A beautiful ryokan that offers a respite from the crowds at the monkey pool. The service was flawless, the food was amazing and the onsen a highlight for my partner. I liked the snow-covered garden and the view of the mountains from my balcony. Be aware that the ryokan is family friendly so you may be eating your nine-course kaiseki to the sounds of screaming toddlers."

"Love this ryokan! The service was just amazing! We arrived the ryokan feeling cold and asked where we could get some heat pads and was told that since the ryokan provides free shuttle to train station, they could send us to convenient store. And before it, the staff came back with some mini heat pads for us to use for the meanwhile. There was also paid shuttle to snow monkey park (500 yen per pax one way) that you can arrange with them. We had a tatami room, it was spacious and the staff came to the room to do the check in and served tea and welcome snack to us. The ryokan guests are entitled to go to nine onsens around the area for free. The ryokan provides yukatas and all necessities for it. The meals were sumptuous and super yummy. Overall, a fantastic ryokan experience for us!"

"La guesthouse è situata in una posizione perfetta per visitare il piccolo paesino, comoda e accogliente. L’atmosfera è informale e gentile: ci hanno fornito chiavi, ciabattine tipiche e la yukada personale. Colazione inclusa con un panino davvero gustoso, e lo staff è stato gentilissimo anche quando siamo arrivati in ritardo: ci hanno comunque offerto da mangiare. I bagni e le docce sono in comune ma sempre puliti. L’unico vero limite è il futon a terra, che può risultare scomodo, soprattutto per chi soffre di allergie o asma a causa della moquette. Per fortuna ci hanno cambiato i cuscini dopo la prima notte, migliorando molto il comfort. Nel complesso, un’esperienza autentica, amichevole e consigliata, adatta sia a viaggiatori zaino in spalla che a famiglie"

"在湯田中車站附近的旅館羣中，距離車站大概2-300米。嘉美也是個日式感十足的旅館，蘑菇頭小哥會詳細的介紹各種情況以至於我感覺從入住到拿到鑰匙進房中間聽他介紹了大概20-30分鐘。 我們入住的園景+浴室房，其實是公用園景，其他房間如果有人在移門邊的話是會看到的。浴室以為是露天泡澡池，其實是房間內有個廁所帶浴室而已，且浴室冬天極冷，衹有一個小取暖爐，沒啥大用。房間內空調感覺也不太給力，還有個大暖爐，靠近很暖和，房間內總體是暖和的。入住時旅館會在房間內保温好熱水、日式點心供旅客使用。 因為房間很少，所以晚上極為安靜，不會有樓上以及關門聲。 這家旅館內提供兩個公共温泉（含露天温泉池），晚餐以及另外兩個温泉需要走5分鐘到萬屋內使用。 整體體驗還是不錯的，但是萬物晚餐和旅館內早餐都是日式料理風格，個人不喜歡。"

"Authentic Onsen Experience at Biyunoyado Our family had a wonderful stay at Biyunoyado, a great choice for experiencing an authentic Japanese onsen. The service was excellent, and the hotel even offers a shuttle bus to the Snow Monkey Park and station (though we didn’t use it since we drove). The staff were very friendly and spoke both Chinese and English, making communication easy. The onsen was a highlight, providing a relaxing and traditional experience. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast. The only downside was that the room was a bit small, with limited space for luggage. Overall, Biyunoyado is a fantastic place for those looking to experience Japanese hospitality, great service, and a soothing onsen."

"Wow! An amazing little Ryoukan in a lovely town with fantastic owners. This ryoukan is a traditional old fashioned style with a lovely private onsen in pictures The room was large and your right on top of one of the 9 onsens. As a ryoukan in the town you will have access to the 9 healing onsens which you can use at your leisure and complete the denyouko towel for blessings The onsen is run by a lovely lady who is really friendly. Typical Amenities included plus free yukata and geta to borrow whilst your walking between hot springs plus free cold milk which is just heavenly after a hot soak. Honestly the cold milk really made my day!! 🥰 Air conditioning was very effective considering the size of the room and the breakfast was too much to finish and offered a taste of everything Lastly you are on top of the onsens as soon as you step out and monkey park is a 25 minute walk north but talk with the Owner, she has a link to the Monkey security cameras so can tell you ahead of time if theres any up there to see currently (i went during Estrus season so no monkeys for me) When it came to checkout the lady gave me a small bento of Onigiri and Pastries and even drove me down to the local station 10/10 would stay again"

"Lovely owners, great location on the main street and right next to the bus stop. Spacious room, futons were comfortable and lots of natural light. The onsens were the highlight, particularly the private onsen - we hardly wanted to try any of the public ones, it was so nice!"

Location is great, hotel provides shuttle transfer to and from station, and also transfer to Snow Monkey Park. The email communication is very slow, but can simply give them a call the day before to book the shuttle bus, the receptionist can all speak simple English. It's a 10 mins walk uphill from train station so maybe better to try to contact them for a complimentary pick up. The place is super grand and 2 onsens. A Instagram worthy one that the males and females get to use it at different timings. The shower stuff in the onsen are mediocre though. No fancy facial stuff for women unlike some other onsens at this price range. We had breakfast and dinner for the 2 nights. And well worth it. But you have to follow a fixed timing and we felt a bit rushed but otherwise it was really great and service perfect. We had one the biggest rooms I believe Room 716. Had a sitting area and also a sleeping area. Easily fits 8 persons. We were only 2. In the day they kept the futons and brought it out at night. Towels changed every night. There is a van that goes straight to Mount Yokoteyama ski resort. The receptionist didn't seem to know about it but you could try to Google. It was a complimentary ride to and fro if you bought the lift tickets. Took only like 30 mins to get there. You can get rentals at hotels there.

Since it was cheaper than other ryokans in the area, I didn’t expect much. But to my surprise, it offered full service—just like the more expensive ryokans I’ve stayed at before! They even provided a pickup service from the train station, which I forgot to book. Luckily, a Western couple sitting next to me on the train had reserved it. When I saw the “Hotel Housei” sign on the van outside the station, I hopped in! The hotel is a bit far from the station and involves walking up and down hills, so carrying luggage all the way would have been quite tough. I was really fortunate to catch that ride! Cherry blossoms were in full bloom along the river, just a few steps from the hotel—such a beautiful sight. The room wasn’t large, but it had enough space and was very comfortable. The elderly gentleman at the front desk seemed to speak multiple languages—he even knew some Thai! He was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The onsen was wonderful. The indoor bath was a bit too hot for me, but the outdoor bath was cooler and more relaxing. Breakfast was a buffet, which was decent. In conclusion, this place was absolutely worth it. Next time, if I go skiing in Shiga Kogen or bring someone to see the snow monkeys, I’ll definitely remember to book the pick-up and drop-off service in advance!

Реальность превзошла ожидания, отель оказался лучше чем я думала. Очень удобный номер для семьи и маленьким ребенком! Есть индивидуальный источник для семьи по предварительной записи, немного маловато времени для использования но в целом супер! Качественная и вкусная еда, разнообразно. Есть возможность продления пребывания за 1000 иен в час, с ребенком это супер удобно. Не совсем чисто в коридорах отеля из за старости но в номере чисто и хорошо.

The rooms are great and spacious for traditional rooms. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. What's more, the ryokan is close to the station, which is really convenient. It's no fuss and really efficient. They have a bus to take you to Monkey Mountain as well as offering to lend us skis. Unfortunately, I injured my knee just beforehand so I wasn't able to take advantage of it, but it's a really rare service. We'd definitely recommend this hotel!

Excellent location next to ski lift at Sun Valley. 3 mins walk to the local bus station with buses going to Nagano Station direct (express service) or Yudanaka station. Room and bath room (2 basins and 1 sink) are spacious - we had 3 futons and 2 single beds for our family of 5. They may be a little dated but very clean. Room has a view to outside snowy forest during our time. Highlights of our stay: Half board meals - authentic Japanese! Big portions and lots of pretty and dishes served! Free coffee everyday in late afternoon. Service was impeccable - the front desk lady (very friendly and excellent service disposition) , and the elderly folks who served in the restaurant - thumbs up!

Easy to go to Giant Ski Area because there is a slope to ski area directly. But I don't recommend for beginner to go ski area from this slope. And you can't go back to the hotel from this way, you have to go back by gondola to Yamanoeki and walk 300m. Too far if you walk with skies or snowboard. Yukata is not free of charge, you have to pay 300 yens for rent. There is a shower room in your room but you can't use it because there is ONLY cold water(hot water doesn't work). Some breakfast menu is not enough for customers. But dinner is ok.

這家店的女主人非常年輕漂亮、笑容滿面！氣質很好👌👍！我走訪這個「溫泉街」確實這「猿」青年旅館的價位最親民！附上拍攝的照片。一個晚上一個人不到一千台幣！這這樣的溫泉旅館真的很便宜了！The hostess of this shop is very young and beautiful with a smile on her face! The temperament is very good👌👍! I visited this ”hot spring street” and indeed the price of this ”ape” youth hostel is the most affordable! Attached are the photos taken. It's less than 1,000 Taiwan dollars per person per night! This kind of hot spring hotel is really cheap!
