Rats in restaurant On arrival the hotel is really beautiful - a small oasis tucked away with gorgeous colonial style. The reception staff were really lovely and made us feel welcome. The room was really nice - but there were a few things we noticed (which we let slide at the start) - massive dirty lipstick mark on one of our water glasses, filthy lampshades above the bathroom sinks, bed linen that didn’t feel particularly fresh and the robes as well had a slight greyish colour rather than bright white which they were meant to be. These were all minor things at the start which we didn’t even mention to each other but did notice. We then had our first night at the cocktail bar where our drink was served by the lovely barman (very polite and smily) - as we were drinking we saw a huge rat run across the terrace - we decided it was an island and maybe this is normal (although we really weren’t happy about it). We then were dining within the restaurant and again a huge rat was running towards the table. For us, this is not ok. We asked to move tables as we saw a rat and the waiters barely acknowledged it - didn’t offer any apology and then proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the night. We informed the manager the next day who assured us he was aware and the rat had been caught, and to “give it a chance”. We weren’t offered so much as a complimentary drink. After dining in the restaurant again the second night and again seeing a rat - for us it was time to check out. Not only is it unpleasant seeing rodents running around while eating but I would say it’s a hygiene issue and makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen and the safety of the food. The only concession we were offered was to not pay for the remaining nights that we would not be staying for. Really disappointing. On hindsight some things we would add about the whole experience: - Not a 5 star in terms of food, service or cleanliness - Staff really hit and miss - some very friendly some really rude and unhelpful - Rooms didn’t feel clean - Food was average - nothing felt fresh including breakfast - Quite stingey with water - water not replaced within our room (had to ask for it) We are now staying at a different hotel and haven’t seen one rat, so don’t think this is “just an island thing” as the manager stated. The service and food are also worlds apart which has really solidified that our review of 20 degres sud as completely justified - not a 5 star experience whatsoever.

This resort is an absolute gem! The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The views were breathtaking—every glance out the window felt like a postcard come to life. Its location was ideal, offering both convenience and a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. The serene, quiet atmosphere made it the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a relaxing getaway!

Отель расположен в очень живописном месте - национальном парке Шамарель. Потрясающие виды, тишина, пение птиц. Очень ухоженная территория, приятный персонал, вкусные завтраки по меню. Есть парковка для авто как у шале, так и рядом с ресепшеном на несколько машин. Единственное неудобство - долго подниматься в гору к отелю, примерно 30 минут.

Harika bir otel. Mükemmel konum! Otelin önündeki plaj (ve tüm Le Morne plajı) çok etkileyici. Su çok berrak ve farklı mavi tonlarına sahip. Seyahatimiz boyunca adanın her yerinde kaldık ama Lux Le Morne'nin Le Morne Dağı manzaralı en muhteşem plaja sahip olduğunu düşünüyoruz ve denize girip otele baktığınızda manzara gerçekten büyüleyici! Oda da çok rahat ve konforlu bir yatağa sahipti. Odanın tek kötü yanı, duştaki sıcak suyun bazen aniden kesilmesi ve beklemek zorunda kalmamızdı!! Çok sayıda şezlong var ama rezervasyon yaptırmazsanız, genellikle öğleden sonra hepsi dolu oluyor. Kahvaltı iyiydi. Çok sayıda su aktivitesi vardı. Spor salonu biraz küçüktü ve sauna ısınması çok uzun sürdü, bu yüzden vazgeçtik. Servis iyiydi. Havuzlar Le Morne Dağı manzarasıyla çok güzeldi. Genel olarak, bu oteli çok sevdik ve konaklamamızdan çok keyif aldık. Bu, Mauritius'taki en sevdiğimiz oteldi ve bir daha dönersek, tekrar burada kalırdık.

Amazing stay at Salt of Palmar!!! Boutique, 16+ Hotel located on the east side of the island, on the first line. Great beach with amazing sunrises. Lots of sea activities are included with your stay. Quiet, spacious rooms. Great spa. Curated menu in the restaurant and opportunity to book a special dinner with a chef. Great wine and international cocktail selection. Professionaly trained staff and the management team lead by Mr. Med will make you stay exceptional

Oda olanakları nispeten eski, Chopsticks restoranı kesinlikle berbat, servis tatmin edici, yüzme havuzu fena değil, özellikle yetişkin yüzme havuzu çok güzel, otel gün doğumunu izlemek için iyi bir yer!

Хороший отель с красивой и ухоженной территорией. Просторный пляж, где плавают черепахи. Завтрак довольно однообразный, но есть всё.  Удобный вход в воду, пляж чистят. Можно брать каяк на прокат бесплатно. Минусы: обед и ужин дорогой, если не всё включено. Отель достаточно старый.  В целом нам понравилось: живописный пляж, доброжелательный персонал, повезло увидеть черепах в океане.

Tam istediğim gibi! Beklentilerimi aştı: rahat odalar, lezzetli yemekler, güler yüzlü personel, harika su spor salonu, nefes kesen manzaradan bahsetmeye bile gerek yok!

A big shout out to Aziza at front desk. She is so welcoming and helpful through out my 3 nights stay. It was my friend’s birthday, Aziza upgraded our breakfast to Jade, arranged a birthday cake for dinner. I caught a cold during my stay and went to the hotel clinic to take medicine. When I go back to my room at night I received a get well soon card and a fruits platter from Aziza. Will definitely recommend to all my friends who want to travel to Mauritius.

Otelin konumu çok iyi, deniz suyu harika, otelin yanındaki plajda çok sayıda mercan var, çok sayıda balık var ve şnorkelli yüzme deneyimi çok iyi. Ama otelin kendisi pek iyi değil. Tesisler eski, hizmet ise vasat. En önemlisi iyi bir dinlenme yapamıyorsunuz. Gece geç saatlere kadar yüksek sesle müzik çalınıyor ve misafirlere hiçbir seçenek veya reddetme şansı verilmiyor. Otelin birincil misyonu insanlara iyi bir gece uykusu sağlamak değil midir? Anlamıyorum. Neyse bu plaj çok tavsiye edilir ama bu otel tavsiye edilmez.
