Book the parking through other apps to get a better deal than using onsite parking. Except that, the facility is good. Staff could provide more coordial service and provide details directly than only upon enquiry."

"Modern hotel near the lake and less than a 5minutes walk from Michigan Avenue. Staff was courteous and professional; the room was spacious and clean. Gym is new, clean, and with some amazing views from the windows overlooking the Chicago River. For those who like a fancy dinner, The Palm is an excellent choice within the same building. It’s a bit odd that I didn’t see a large room for the breakfast, but then, I did not have breakfast included so I didn’t really care. Overall, excellent hotel."

Our check-in process was fast and efficient, and the receptionist was friendly and happy to answer all of our questions—especially about the fees mentioned on the hotel’s website. One of the main issues people seem to bring up is the so-called “hidden” fees. In my experience, these fees are not actually hidden—they’re listed on the hotel’s official website. That said, they could definitely be communicated more clearly. It’s important to read the fine print when booking and during check-in. While the fees may not be obvious at first glance, the hotel is legally allowed to include them since they are technically disclosed. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with enough space to hang clothes. There were multiple hangers, and the locker-style closets matched the hotel’s sporty decor. The floor and bathroom were clean overall, though I did spot a spider in the corner of the shower—but nothing alarming. The downstairs common area includes an open kitchen with a communal fridge and even a crockpot, which was a nice surprise. There were also several games available, like ping pong and air hockey, which makes this place family- and couple-friendly. Guests are allowed to enjoy drinks provided in the kitchen. If you’re sensitive to noise, particularly trains, I recommend requesting a room farther down the hall on the first floor. Our room was in a quiet spot—I barely noticed the train, and when I did, it was more like soft white noise. Still, bringing earplugs might help if you’re a light sleeper. Overall, I recommend this hotel. It’s in a nice area, the decor is visually appealing, and the stay was enjoyable. Just be aware of a $120 refundable deposit (if no damage is done to the room) and an additional $50 guest fee. Knowing that ahead of time helps avoid surprises. I’m very grateful for the pleasant stay and would return again."

"While the other things were excellent, it was tainted with the very low level of check-in services I ever experienced in my many year international travellings. The check-in attendant had no smiles and gave my key card with eyes looking somewhere else as if I had not been in front of her. If I had been in a motel out og nowhere, I could understand it. But, this was HILTON in CHICAGO, and I am a Hlton Gold member. HILTON really has to train their front liners with standard higher level of services."

"Our room on the 8th was spotless and well-kept. Location was perfect for easy access to the Lyric Opera Theatre. Our only complaint was the breakfast. Plan on bringing your own or eating elsewhere."
