"We took two rooms for 3 nights having driven in convoy with our daughter and her husband plus a dog from London. It is impossible to park at the hotel or even get near it with a car due to the terrain, but they make every effort to offer advice on secure parking. Everything was in place and the parking company delivered us to the spot where a charming valet collected our luggage and we walked up the quaint and perfumed alleyways to the hotel. What a beautiful, historic hotel set in stunning gardens. With only 19 rooms but a plethora of staff it was a perfect stay. Breakfast, poolside lunch, bar and dinner at Il Flauto di Pan were all perfect. Not over fussy and the flavours clean with wonderfully fresh ingredients. We will be back!"

"We just got back from 3 days at Villa Maria. It is truly one of those places that you don't want to leave... The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, there is an amazing terrace with a breathtaking view, excellent breakfast. However, the hotel best asset is the staff, always helpful and kind - especially Selinda and the other ladies at the Reception (apologizes but we don' remember the names). Highly recommended. We hope to come back soon, grazie for eveything."

"Nestled on a hillside, this is nicely secluded spot not too far from Ravello. This is a villa with several hospitality apartments, separate from each other. Family owned, Gennaro and his daughter Simona were absolutely wonderful. Very friendly and helpful in every way. One comment for improvement, there were a few maintenance issues in our unit that should be taken care of. All in all, a VERY pleasant stay"

"I cannot say enough positive things about this property. The service from beginning to end was superb. We loved the location in Ravello, and the view is unmatched. All dining, including breakfast, the Caruso Grill, and Il Pantaleone, was fabulous. The tasting menu at Il Pantaleone was a work of art, with every element carefully crafted with intention. We participated in the Coastline of Treasures' complimentary daily boat tour, and I would highly recommend it. Once again, the view from the water was beautiful. Caruso sets the standard for professionalism, hospitality, and attentiveness, providing guests with an outstanding experience."

"I wrote perhaps 9 positive reviews from my wife's and my trip to Italy. This one is a big negative. Maybe this is because this is somewhat of a rural setting, but we found the front desk service uniformly poor. They did or would not help with dinner reservations, or more importantly, when we had terrible noises overhead in our room they would not change our room. I had to get out of bed and get the night manager to come into our room. He said it was not a problem because it stopped after 45 minutes. No apologies. The breakfast was very poor including a one-size-fits-all machine for coffee, tea, and/or cappuccino--all of which were poor. They were constantly out of fruit. And finally, when we went to check out they gave me a bill for $980 Euro when it was prepaid. After 25 minutes, they "found" our prepayment. Again, no apologies for a very tense situation when our driver was waiting for us. We were not about to leave and have a thousand dollars charged to us. A very poor experience for us overall. The only saving grace was impeccable housekeeping. "

"This is one of my favourite hotels in the world. Sitting on top of a mountain, with stunning views of both the sea and other mountains for miles on end. Pictures don't do it justice, it has to be seen with your own eyes to be truly appreciated. Just be prepared for a short 10 minute hike with stairs to reach the hotel, since there are no direct roads accessible, but your luggage will be taken care of by the hotel porters. The walk to the hotel is a refreshing experience itself, giving you a taste of the Ravello mountain life! The staff were all polite and professional, catering to our every need. We went for our wedding anniversary, and the staff accommodated us at every moment, even opening up their helipad for our pickup during departure. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful escape far away from noise and people!"
