"The location of the hotel is great, very close to the old town center and right next to the small crook in town, connecting lots of very cute coffee shops and cool bars. Very convenient! It's next to a large road but the noise was not too much. The service was outstanding! The staff was so helpful in giving advice on how to best get to sightseeing spots and went above and beyond with any issues I had. Truly outstanding! Unfortunately the room was a bit dirty. I'm not sure if anyone ever cleaned underneath the sink. The rest of the room was fine though."

"Best location if you wanted to visit Slender Lake as the entrance is just across the road. There are restaurants to the left of the resort as well if opting to dine out. The resort is quite big, with separate buildings housing different types of rooms. Well catered for families with kids. We got the room with a hot spring inside so we didn’t visit the public one."

"Yangzhou State Guesthouse is located within a sprawling area where many of the facilities are within walking distance. It is like staying in a holiday resort. You can either walk to the different facilities or take the buggy provided. The Slender West Lake (瘦西湖） is just beside the Guesthouse and is definitely worth a visit both during the day and in the evening. A bit too hot to visit in the summer, but it will be nice during spring and/or autumn."
