I had a wonderful stay here. Highly recommend this place. The owner is very helpful, friendly and happy to help! The staff are also great. I arrived In Yangshuo by boat and could not get a taxi for some strange reason, maybe due to roadworks and very busy time of day, as a result I quickly contacted them and asked if there was another way to get there as I could not get a taxi, and instantly got a response that the boss will come pick me up and in 5min the owner had come and picked me up from my location . The homestay is very close to Yulong river and bike rentals and electric scooter rentals are offered at affordable prices and it has a beautiful ride along the river , bamboo rafting is close-by too. The owner is very friendly and knowledgable and quickly gave me recommendations and suggestions of activities best to do nearby and how to get there. On my last day the owner also gave me a ride to the shuttle bus for Longji, refused to let me take a Didi! Very hospitable, Kind and good energy. The room was more spacious than expected. It was big, clean and great view! Definitely worth a visit and Ill be going back for sure. 😌

This place is a jewel nestled on the hills over Xingping. Rooms are really nice and comfortable, the common area is almost poetic, with the long table over the terrace, and food is really delicious! Even if the location is quite remote, you can count on the owner to go to and from the small harbour on the river, and they will also help you with directions for all the surrounding areas. I had chosen this place mainly for its convenient location for Damianshan mountain: I was expecting to see a fantastic sunrise from the top. I am a little disappointed because the trail was not so easy to follow when we visited: vegetation hid the trail in several points and we were not able to find the last part and reach the top. I have already highlighted this to the boss so I hope they will adjust this in the future. ;) Unfortunately I only had one night / one sunrise so I missed my opportunity... we had to stop at a lower point with a nice view, but well, not *that* view. ;) Anyway, it's my only regret, for the rest everything was perfect. This guest house left me with mixed feelings. Let's start with the good things. The location is super convenient: right in the old town and yet in a relatively quiet area. It's close to the river so you can take a refreshing night stroll, and close to a delicious bakery/café you'll never forget. The atmosphere of the guest house is rustic and cozy, with a laundry room that, despite its very limited space, serves the purpose. There are also cats and a dog you can freely play with. The bed was comfortable for us (a bit on the harder side). The owners speak English so you can easily communicate with them. They are very kind and helpful. However, a few things about this stay got me extremely disappointed, particularly taking into consideration the positive reviews I had read (which honestly I don't understand where they came from). The room was far from clean. There was a very visible layer of dust. The cushion seats had huge stains and looked dirty overall. The shower room did not get cleaned very regularly, as you can see from the picture. In general everything in the property looked outdated and cheap (wobbly sink taps, doors with huge gaps, that give way to all sorts of bugs and giant spiders..). The fact that the toilet is next to the shower room leaves no room for privacy and makes the toilet floor wet most of the time (this could be solved with a proper shower door instead of a curtain). In conclusion, I was more than happy to leave the property because it did not meet my standards for comfort and hygiene. However, if you don't particularly care about a certain degree of dirt and dust here and there, and are cool with bugs, then you should definitely go for it as you might really like the retro atmosphere of the place.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay here. I went out of season, so I was the one of the only guests for two days, this made if even more special. if you travel during rainy season make sure to have rainboots and rain proof coats etc. The nights and mornings can get very cold so prepare warm clothes. The family helped me from booking a local shuttle bus from Yangshuo to arrive and departing and also picked me up on my day of arrival from the park entrance. The Homestay is quite far up the hills, not very easy to find you need to carpool or ask owners to help with scooter ride, but the views and people make it all the worthwhile. It is close to many hiking trails and view points. The family welcomed me with so much love the room was exactly as it said. Their food and pricing is also very affordable. They family is of the local ethnicity and they gave me an up-close view in their lives and their traditional ways. I tasted their rice wine, chilli paste , traditional tea and bamboo rice and many other delicious foods. The owners and family are very helpful and if you have any questions, or want to know more of need to get to a certain part of the area they are happy to help. This family and their black dog filled my heart with so much love and gratitude. Note for for foreign travelers: They don't speak English, but do not let this scare you if you are a foreigner, translator apps are helpful if you can't understand the language. Overall, I highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful, tranquil and family-like feeling enjoy the outdoors and nature. I will definitely be going back!

Ama beni oradan ayrılmaya iten en büyük sorun, yatakların çok sert olması, daha önce hiç böyle bir şey yaşamamıştım. Ayrıca, perde yok, bu yüzden yüzünüze ışık çok zor geliyor. Tabii ki yatağınız için perdeleriniz var, ancak pencerede perde yok, bu da can sıkıcı. Son olarak, çok çok geç çıkış yaptım ama ev sahibi, planımı değiştirdiğim için ekstra bir gün ödememe izin vermedi, bu gerçekten harika.

Perfect if you need to catch a flight because there's complimentary transportation service. Overall clean and comfortable, no elevator though.

I had a pretty comfortable stay here. The front desk was very friendly, could speak English, and helpful to me in recommending restaurants to find food and giving me some information on how to do local activities. I really appreciate it. The hotel room was very basic, no TV or special lighting or anything like that. I think it could definitely use a lamp or something in the room to make it more cozy because that ceiling lighting is so harsh on my eyes. My room didn't have a bathroom attached so I used the shared bathroom. I think I missed the information where the front desk person might have said I could use the downstairs showers as well as 4th floor showers. But I only used the fourth floor shower and toilet and it was rough, hair on the ground, and the shower flooded because the drain was clogged and curtain was moldy. But when I went downstairs when I checked out and I saw the other showers and toilet was quite clean! Personally I think they should all be clean and well taken care of. But, next time I would use first floor showers. Otherwise, The view on the roof is incredible!! And the restaurant food is really good too. Vegan options available as well. Unfortunately some guests who came to check in quite late were really thoughtless and were banging on a door for 2 hrs at 3am and 4am. IDK why!! But I couldn't sleep well because of this because the walls are paper thin. Not really the hotel's fault, but the walls have no sound proofing because the building is very old, but the staff also didn't try to make up for it, even though I told them what happened and asked for help with the matter at the time it was also happening. Minus a point for that. But otherwise, it was a pretty good stay. I think the rooftop view, the restaurant and the affordable price is reason enough to come back but if I were you I would bring ear plugs.

I had a great time at this hostel. The people were so friendly and they were always available on WeChat to help me out (thank you for helping me buy the bus tickets at such a late notice 🤭). Nearby were also many great restaurants（I recommend the nearby 阿秀米粉店 😋). I also greatly appreciated the curtains attached to the beds for some privacy. It's conveniently located next to the train station, but you will need to take a bus or a train to see some beautiful nature, as it is located in the middle of the city of Guilin.
