Ah, Baltimore, a city of rich history and eclectic charm. My wife and I recently had the pleasure of a stay at the Hotel Ulysses, a luxurious retreat nestled in the heart of this vibrant city. True to the reputation of the New York-based design firm, Ash, the Ulysses is nothing short of an architectural marvel. The first thing that catches your eye? The hotel's impeccable aesthetic. It's a masterful blend of old-world charm and modern design, encapsulating the very essence of Baltimore's diverse character. While the rooms might have been a tad on the cozier side, they more than made up for it with their plush comfort and attention to detail. The Ulysses truly exemplifies the notion that beauty lies in the details, and the meticulousness with which they've curated every aspect of the guest experience speaks volumes. The 19th-century charm of the Mount Vernon neighborhood is beautifully echoed within the Ulysses. The delicate stained-glass skylight, the ornate crown molding, and the preserved brass postal box serve as a testament to the building's rich history. But it's not all vintage here. The interiors seamlessly transition from the ornate influences of the Art Nouveau era to a more streamlined approach, evident in the hickory wood furniture adorned with Ash’s custom textiles. And oh, those hand-beaded lampshades and embroidered quilts! They added the perfect splash of color and quirk. A special shout-out to the carved flamingos that support the bedside tables, a delightful nod to Baltimore's own John Waters and his ”Pink Flamingos.” It's this mix of opulence and eccentricity that makes the Ulysses stand out. Booking through Trip.com was a new experience for us. A bit unconventional, sure, but it came through in the clutch. The $35 ”destination fee” threw us for a loop initially, but the $20 credit we received towards our bill at the hotel restaurant (Ash Bar) or the bar (Blooms) made it all worth it. Speaking of Blooms, what an experience! The mirrored ceiling, the crimson banquettes, and the purple stools set the stage for a night to remember. In a nutshell? The Hotel Ulysses is a triumph, an ode to Baltimore's multifaceted spirit. Whether you're here for the history, the design, or the sheer experience, the Ulysses promises and delivers. 在這個危險的城市入住，弄得人心惶惶，停車需要停在對面，過夜為25美金自付，前台服務還是很熱情的，提供的免費早餐東西很少，還有首頁面的海景豪華照片，與本酒店完全沒有關係，要有心理準備。不過水吧枱免費的咖啡味道不錯！ 房間倒是非常乾淨，但是裏面有一衹價格不菲的鬧鐘，真把人折騰瘋掉了。因為前面客人預訂了6點鬧，結果就不停的在那邊響，害得我們都無法好好睡覺，而玻璃窗的隔音也非常一般，半夜裡轟鳴的汽車聲時常響起！從他們這裏連鎖超市感覺這個城市整體的消費水平和人羣富裕度不高，據説犯罪率非常高，建議大家路過吃個海鮮就可以了，沒有必要在這裏入住！

It was perfect. The staff was so enjoyable and helpful. Just amazed with the hotel itself and the history.

We had no heat in our room. Was not offered a new room. Went to get blankets because my 80 year old mother was cold the night crew personel was ver apologetic. Went down in the morning for breakfast, it was 20 minutes late getting started. I finnally did get a 5,000 credit.

The staff was so helpful and caring making it easy to get to Johns Hopkins Hospital. So appreciated for this, made a difference.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The pool was unfortunately closed for the duration of our trip, which was a disappointment. In a great location, close to everything!

I parked in the hotel's parking garage and left for my first event.  I returned just after 9pm and the doors to the garage were closed so I had to park in a different garage. After checking out the garage charged me $74.  This is in addition to the initial $25 from the original garage.  So parking for the weekend was $99 and it was not very convenient. The service and the room were fine.  I especially liked the shower quality.

Hotel is located in center of Baltimore the front desk was excellent very helpful with our check in and luggage storage on checkout. I will definitely recommend this hotel and come back.

It is an excellent, peaceful location. The hotel seems to be old and needs renovations. Complimentary breakfast was not good but manageable for a quick one-night stay.
