"The Palmer Hotel is within 5 minutes walk from the Taichung Railway Station.  The remodeled room’s design is nice, pleasant, and functional.  The bed sheet, towels, and drapery are clean. The air confining works well with a cold personal fridge! The room service staff is friendly with good work. The breakfast serves different dishes everyday and they were tasty varieties! I consider the CP value (cost and price) is very high! It is highly recommended for the budget solo travelers!"

"It was so terrible that we moved out immediately. I have never experienced such a significant difference between the advertised photos and the actual condition of a place. Upon arrival, as soon as we entered the room, there was an unpleasant smell. We then immediately noticed the overall poor condition of the room, which is clearly shown in the photos I have provided. There was a long hair on the pillow, and to make matters worse, the bathroom was moldy. At that point, we decided that we could not stay there. The only positive thing was the receptionist, who was extremely kind and helpful!"

"From Guguan Hot Springs, it's about a 10-minute bus ride to a nearby bus stop. They provided a pick-up and drop-off service. For dinner, we ordered a chicken and wild vegetable hot pot; we requested it at 3 PM that day, but they prepared it without any problems. The owner, a calligrapher, and everyone else were very kind, and the dog and cat were friendly and adorable. Guguan is quite far, but I would like to go again."

"I wouldn’t visit this place for a second time. It’s literally not what you see. Another thing, I had an event to attend at 15:00, meaning I had to check in at 14:30 instead of their ridiculous 16:00 check in time - if you want to check in early, you pay per hour (and they do not state this in their advertising before you book). They do not have an iron, luckily, I had brought my own because somehow I had a feeling. The staff at the front desk is disinterested, not helping, and don’t know how to communicate in English. With her stinking attitude."

"My family had a very pleasant stay at this hotel for 9 days. The hotel was very clean and well-maintained, and the staff were extremely kind and welcoming, making the stay comfortable and relaxing. In the hotel lobby, there were various complimentary drinks available, and you could sit and relax there for as long as you liked. The hotel also had an excellent location with convenient access to public transportation and was close to the city center. The metro station was only about 100 meters away, and the bus stop was even closer, just a few meters to the left when you walk out of the hotel. There were also many useful places nearby. Stores like 7-Eleven and PX Mart, as well as restaurants such as McDonald's and KFC, were only a few minutes away from the hotel. In addition, Taichung’s famous pastry shop was located just a few meters to the right of the hotel."
