Cervo Mountain Resort
"Had a blissful 2.5 days at the Cervo. Stayed in the Nomad lodge because it is closer to the spa. The room was fantastic, really loved it, stylishly furnished. Very comfortable bed. Great stuff included such as a lightweight mammut rucksack that could be borrowed and/or purchased in the shop. We ate at the italian restaurant one night on the terrace - food was delicious and a good selection, although I do think more choice for vegetarians would enhance the offer. We ate in bar the other night - Middle Eastern/asian delicacies - again fantastic. Breakfast was amazing with a super choice of cooked/prepared options plus a large buffet. Finally, the spa is incredible and where we spent every afternoon and some of the morning we left. Worth going to the hotel just for the spa, we had a 90 minute deep tissue massage by Malanka and Javi who were both amazing. Felt completely blissed out by the massage - probably the best I've ever had. Finally, all the staff are lovely, whether the servers, the spa people, and front desk. I would personally flag the Czech front desk guy whose name I can't remember who was really lovely when we arrived at 9.30pm and checked us out. Also, the guy from Barcelona who drove us to the station when we left - both kind, attentive and engaging. I can't recommend the Cervo enough and I would definitely return the next time I'm in Zermatt."

"Chalet Nepomuk is truly outstanding. Fantastic location with great views. The apartment was very well kept, very clean, very comfortable. The outdoor heated pool was great, a huge hit with the kids. Nicole, the host, is exceptional, super friendly, responsive, one of the best hosts we ever met. Can't recommend this place more."

"Our family stayed in a two-bedroom, one-living room at La Vue in Zermatt and we really thought it was a great choice! The room and living room are very large. The equipment is newly decorated, fashionable and comfortable. The breakfast is very rich in the living room. The service staff are also very kind. When you get up in the morning, you can see the Matterhorn and there is a small heated swimming pool. In short, we stayed here Everything really felt great for two nights!"

"The hotel is a 6-minute walk from the train station's rear exit, though it's a bit far from the main attractions. The hotel boasts a wide array of facilities, including a restaurant, bar, smoking room, game room, and a swimming pool. We booked a mountain view room with a loft and a balcony. The bathroom and the main level of the room were very clean, and we had a direct view of the Matterhorn from our room – the scenery was absolutely stunning. However, the stairs leading up to the loft were quite slippery, and the vacuuming there seemed inadequate, as there was a strong dusty smell."

"Beautiful accommodation, 4th floor suite (top floor) with a view of Mt. Zermatt. We stayed as a family. Free spa. Delicious Swiss breakfast. Staff gave good advice on traveling around the area. Beautiful room but too dim light. May be more suitable for couples. There is a fire pit (in a glass box) to keep warm in the living room. The extra bed was placed in this living room, making the light from the fire too bright when sleeping. The master bedroom has a glass roof. The electric curtains are broken and cannot be used, must be used manually. This room is very cold. It seems that the heater does not work well."

Shame on the management of this hotel, who did not even bother to warn us before we discovered the room. We had to hastily look, in high season, for an emergency lodge for our five nights - to be avoided"

Matterhorn Focus Design Hotel
"The hotel is right next to the cable car station for the Matterhorn, which is why I booked this room. You can see sheep on the hillside opposite the window, but they aren't black-faced sheep. The sheep come down to the road around 4:30 pm and walk towards the pedestrian street, which is a good spot for taking photos. However, the only downside is that the cable car's large steel ring blocks the view of the Matterhorn from the balcony (see picture 2). The stairs are shared, and you can't go down from the room; the balcony is completely blocked. I stayed on the second floor; I don't know if the views from the upper floors are better. Also, the bathtub plunger was broken. After a long day of walking, the bathtub was unusable, which immediately made the 4,000+ yuan room rate seem unreasonable."
