A Mixed Stay at Apo View Hotel: Room for Improvement I recently stayed at Apo View Hotel in Davao, booking a twin room for myself and my cousin upon arrival. Given the hotel's reputation, I had fairly high expectations, hoping for a comfortable and top-tier experience. Unfortunately, my first night left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. The amenities felt outdated, and two major issues stood out: the internet connection was very weak and laggy, and the air-conditioning in our room wasn’t working properly, making the space uncomfortably warm. After a long 24-hour journey, I was too exhausted to raise a complaint that night, but I hoped for a better experience in my second booking — a family room. Another point of concern was the service at the reception desk. Upon check-in, I stood before the staff without even being acknowledged. What was more frustrating was that another guest who arrived after me was attended to first. A simple greeting or assurance that someone would be with me shortly could’ve made all the difference in that moment. However, it wasn’t all disappointing. During my first breakfast buffet, I was pleasantly surprised by a friendly and upbeat staff member who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. His cheerful attitude truly brightened my morning and helped shift my perception of the service. I regret not getting his name, but his hospitality deserves to be recognised. In summary, while Apo View Hotel has potential, especially with its long-standing reputation, there’s certainly room for improvement in terms of guest service and room maintenance. With a few upgrades and more attentive customer care, it could provide the high-standard experience guests expect.

Nice grounds to walk in breakfast buffet is superb the staff are fantastic and the swimming pool is ideal if you want a good workout the rooms are a bit dated and could do with a re vamp the wi fi was good most enjoyable stay.

Back again at Hotel Galleria in the heart of the city. Wonderful staff, great room and bonus of a clean swimming pool. Good meals at the attached restaurant. The price is so good too.

Highly recommended. Staff is helpful and courteous. Housekeeping attended to requests right away. Value for money. Towels are relatively new. Room is clean.

The location was suoerb, right in fromt of Ayala Mall. We were upgraded to the lounge floor. The room was big and had complete amenities. Would stay again.

100/10 for our 2-night stay at Discovery Samal! The staff were friendly and accommodating, the place was stunning, and the food was absolutely delicious. My baby loved the kids’ play area, and the gym was way beyond what I expected — fully equipped and spacious. The beach was crystal clear and so relaxing. Definitely lives up to its 5-star rating. Highly recommended!

The only hotel close to the airport so you have no choice if u have a morning flight. I was in Room1 and wifi is very weak. Shower water pressure is also very weak. Room is not sound proof so little sleep can be enjoyed with noisy traffic on main street. Bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. Check your room bedsheet and amenities first time when u enter the room to avoid lost of your deposit when check out . Staff is available 247 so i dont get why trip.com insist that check in must be done before 9pm. Massage place and joilibee are available within walking distance to hotel.

The place was amazing. Good for families. We booked a king size with the attached living area. It also comes with a mini kitchen and a washing area. The shower rooms is big and comes with a tab. Although the tv in the living has bad reception, there was another tv inside the bedroom to use. The service technician also came to check on the tv and also offered to change it with a new one. There breakfast buffet meal was also nice and has a variety of cuisines to choose feom.

The Dusit D2 offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for those seeking comfort and relaxation. While the amenities are well-designed, I found them to be a bit limited if you're the type who enjoys a variety of activities. The hotel features a pool, which is nice, but could feel a bit underwhelming if you're someone who craves more entertainment options. On the bright side, the 24-hour gym is a great perk for fitness enthusiasts, and the gourmet shop adds a touch of luxury for those looking to indulge in premium snacks or specialty items. Beyond these, however, there aren't many activities to keep you occupied, so it’s a space that caters more to relaxation and personal time, often spent in your room. Overall, Dusit D2 is ideal for a serene stay but might feel a bit too quiet for those who easily get bored. More in improvement on the food please, there’s no menu that sticks out or you want to try again.
