Very traditional Japanese hotel with hot spring , hotel is well facilitated. Staff are very nice and welcome. Breakfast is full of choice and delicious. The view of every room is wonderful, especially we arrive at snowing day.

Luxury hotel with spacious and comfortable room. Walk along the river bank during sunset was fantastic. Just 2 bus stops to the famous Gifu park. However, the location is more suitable for people driving cars. Not convinient to find resetaurants near by.

The room was a little small, but it was a very comfortable stay overall. Free parking was provided just a short walk from the property, which was convenient. A simple self-service ochazuke was available for all guests, which was a warm and thoughtful touch. Shoes are not allowed inside the hotel, so everyone walks around barefoot or in socks. It felt a bit unusual at first, especially while waiting for the lift, but it also meant that no outside shoes were brought into the rooms, helping to keep the space clean and cosy.

The quality of the hotel is very high. It's conveniently located near the train station and a 15 minute walk to the old town. The spa is really nice, clean, and spacious. The family spa is a nice touch. Rooms are very large, comfortable beds, with a tub. The only drawback is breakfast. The restaurant is too small to accommodate guests. It's odd that it's common in Japan to have large hotels, with many guests, include breakfast, and then build a tiny restaurant. Makes no sense. Options are limited and food is the same every day. I wouldn't recommend it, but there's so few options nearby or in the town in general, that you basically have to eat there. Just go before 8 AM. Otherwise, the hotel is really nice.

Good location, near to the beautifully preserved Edo-period streets of Sanmachi Suji, and the historic Takayama Jinya. We also experienced the peaceful Higashiyama Walking Course. and had the opportunity In the morning, to feel the local vibes at the Miyagawa Morning Market. The hotel has an onsen and the staff are friendly and helpful. We are also fortunate to experience snow during our stay.

We are here for their onsen (can opt for private or public) and because of its strategic location from the train station and bus station. There are alot of food options within short walking distance, around 10-15 min walk to reach miyagawa river and enjoy their morning market. The hotel provides odens and new year noodle because we spent new year during our stays. They put extra care for kids amenities with a cute slippers and handkerchief. We enjoy our stay in Takayam

Loved this hotel. Felt like a spa with rhe common hot bath. Different sake for sample and ice cream poles on demand. We were also ro arrange for our luggage to bs sent directly to Nagoya from their lobby - super convenient!

enjoyed our stay in takayama ouan with my family! the rooms are spacious for japan standards and i like how the hotel is full tatami so we can comfortably walk around barefoot or with just socks! free socks provided and unlimited pillows. the open air bath was great and there’s sauna and cold bath too. free ramen at night was delicious, breakfast was great too. won’t hesitate to book this hotel again next time!

We love this hotel.. I really like Takayama unfortunately I stayed only 1 N as a stopover. We will visit again. The only issues is i do prefer high floor.. and was given 2nd but since we only stay for 1nite .. I did not change. Will visit again. Did not have time to check out other part of the facilities. We ordered dinner and breakfast with accommodation.. the dinner was excellent . Breakfast spread is great.. lots of choices. Service is excellent in the restaurant.
