This hotel locates just near by the JR Himeji station, probably the most popular area in the city. Most of the restaurants are on the other side of the rail so it is crowded at all around the hotel. There is also a complex mall includes supermarket and groceries store next street.
The services is good and offer free drinks in the lobby.

This hotel is right across the plaza from the train station, and having travelled with bags I can tell you that is a godsend. The room itself is lovely and the staff are very friendly and professional.
Check in and out are painless, getting around is easy as the train line is perfect for getting into the heart of Osaka, or going the other way out to Kobe.
There's also nice local food choices nearby.
This is a five star hotel in a three star body. Rooms are TINY, like scandanavian homes, but everything was clean and fresh, staff were outstanding, we could store out bags before and after our stay, missing personal articles available for free downstairs. Clear rooftop vie of the castle so you don't have to leave the hotel for beutiful shots of the castle. Near a huge gorgeous, covered pedetrian only walking are. Only sorry to have had only one night here.
Very close to Himeji station and is a straightforward walk to the castle. Large, busy business hotel. Receptionist at check-in had great English and was very informative. Dated room, poorly insulated for sound and temperature, but with a comfortable bed, a fridge, a kettle and an air-conditioning unit that could heat the room. I was in room 1501, which overlooks the station and would be wonderful for trainspotters (a little noisy for everyone else). The hotel offers a basic canteen-style breakfast and dinner, which made it good value for money. It also offers separate male and female bath/sauna areas, but I didn't try this.
Huge hotel with great facilities, but gym, sauna, onsen and pool have to be paid extra and at high prices. That left a very bitter aftertaste. The room was large but a bit dated and could be cleaned better.
The service at the reception could be nicer and speak better English. However, the rest of the service staff were extremely nice and helpful. Early check-in was possible free of charge.
The hotel is very close to Kobe airport, but only offers a shuttle service for the train stations. Why not also for the airport is somewhat questionable.
The location was great for going around the sea side such as harbor land. The hotel is also one of the iconic hotel nearby the port island. This had made me excited to stay, however, there are a lot of problems. For example, they had “eco-friendly” cleaning. This means they wouldn’t change anything except towel the entire 3 days. Furthermore, the hotel did not had adapter for charging, as well the room did not have USB port, the lack of amenities is also concerning. The air con is also very warm (?) apparently, half the hotel room is shut down because of aircon check. But overall, employee were nice and it was a fair stay. The big problem is the price is way too high considering what it has to offer especially in a city like Kobe where prices should be lower than major cities
The hotel is located right across the train station square with convenience stores and restaurants around, a perfect location. The room is a typical Japanese hotel room, small but has everything you'd need, and very, very clean.
Check-in was smooth, and there's coffee in the reception area, which is on the first floor. WiFi worked great, also for streaming. I'd definitely go here again if I wanted to stay in the Osaka area.
Far from the center of Kobe/Sannomiya so do not expect the area to be busy. Also the hotel has started to show its age but no complaints considering the very attractive price point.
This hotel is located at a quiet location. The breakfast is traditional Japanese style. The room is clean. But the laundry machine and the drying machine located at lobby hall is a bit dirty. There is some weird fur and thread stick to my clothes after I dried them.
Still, everything is fair for just one night staying.

Not foreigner ( Western & Asian) friendly. We travelled around 70 Roykan in the last 3 years and this is the wrost service we ever had. Japanese get to seat and offered juices when they checked in while we have to stand at the front desk and no juice offered. We asked for the yukata rental (free rental) and the young staff just ignore us twice. We asked for sizes a few times then he just said it’s all here. Then when we picking the only two small sizes he grabbed and give it to the Japanese girl and ignore us or never ask us before he took it as he knows we are looking into those. Very rude.
Most of ryokan will bring you to the room or assist to bring luggage or already put in the room for you. This one you do everything yourself after check in.
When we get into the hotel room it’s hot as no aircon is on. Then air con is broken so we called reception. With their broken English they insisted I don’t know how to turn on the aircon which I told them the air con is broken, after 15mins on the phone showing me how to on I keep telling them to send the staff up as we are so hot in the room as it’s summer and no window open and no fan was on after moving luggage. They came up and fix the air con for 45mins then told us it’s broken and need to change room. The whole hour we were sweating but no offer of water / drinks or anything and we just stand in the room while they fixing. When they decided the room need to be changed, they asked us to wait downstairs but leave the luggage in the room so we thought they will move luggage to the new room but they did not. Staff see us so hot at lobby didn’t tell us there is free drinking machine that we can get ice juices , they just watch us hot and sweat and not saying a word. When the new room is finished, they gave us the new room key and asked us to move the luggage ourself and return the old key. No help at all and wasted 1.5 hours of our onsen time. No apologies as well. I feel like being treated like a trash. Not enjoyable at all.
I paid extra for the sea view room which when they change my room they offered a slightly bigger room but my sea view was mostly blocked (in the pic )which I am not so happy.
There is amenities corner at the lobby, at night after the onsen we come back and want to take the lotion as early on it was gone and they didn’t replenish, the female staff have a bad attitude and flip her eyes ask us which room we stayed, we showed her the key and she said the cream is already in the room which her broken English. There is one set in the room but those are small one time pack which we finish after we had the onsen so we want to take another one. She was rude and insist we can’t take. Her attitude was so bad seems like we are stealing. There is an amenities cornor, if you not allowing guest to take please do not have this setup.
Food is okay with the buffet. Wagyu beef is nice but they is a normal standard for Japanese onsen buffet nothing too special.
Overall, with the price paying compare to other roykan in Japan, this hotel have very bad service to non Japanese. There is also nothing special for this onsen. Probably best to try somewhere else.

При заселении выбираете время ужина и завтрака, они в общем зале, на завтрак вместе с основной подачей есть ещё и шведский стол. Еда в японском стиле, вкусная. Также выбираете время для 2 приватных ванн, можно забронировать также и сауну, все входит в стоимость, как и массажные кресла на 2 этаже. Номер просторный, соответствует фото. Онсены с золотой водой, приватные на свежем воздухе, понравились. Сауна была холодной. Персонал очень доброжелательный. В номере есть чайник, холодильник, сейф.

The hotel location is perfect, I will go back again in future.
Except that the room we were staying on a second booking it's 19th floor opposite elevator area and at night had some noises, loud bang, continuously and the staff informed us that it was a sound from heater system on the upper floor.
The noise was loud enough to woke us up from a deep sleep.
Staff on the night shift solved the issue by giving us new room just to sleep, few doors away. It was quite enough for us to fall asleep and walked back to our original room to shower and check out.
and then in the morning we checked out, the staff was just making a straight face saying sorry about that.
I do understand that the morning staff can't do anything else excavations saying sorry but that wasn't a Japanese service mind action I used to experience.
Thank you to clerk. Watanabe for assisting me through the double booking and giving us a request we asked on the first day. Kobe port view was amazing, we loved it so much.

One staff told me that because the room was ”Japanese Style”, and that I had to take the bedding from the closet, move the low table and make up my own futon.
I live in Japan and I know what a ”Japanese Style” room is. Ryokans of a good grade will have staff make up the futons. When a hotel is too large, the work of making up the futons for all rooms becomes onerous, however, one wonders why ”five star hotel” if one has to make up one's own futon AND receive education on what a ”Japanese Style” room entails [ I am in the hotel business].
The lobby is bleak and looks cheap. No style, no charm. The seating is ugly and cheap. There are real plants here and there but no cut flowers. Cut flowers are very expensive in Japan. Too expensive for this hotel.
The final point is that I booked this specific hotel in order to take a swim. Although the weather was fine, the pool had closed the day before I arrived. The pool was still full of water, perfect and peaceful, but ”closed”. No doubt, this saves on staff and other expenses, in the same way that making up one's own futon does . . . all this is fine for a hostel, but not for a luxury hotel.
I have been generous with my star-giving because I like to be kind, and because several of the staff were truly exceptional in their kindness and service, however, we hope that the management will note our comments. Please pay for more staff and please keep your pool open as long as the weather permits. Global warming means pools can stay open longer. :-)

AAzy LiThe service was a little short of. I read reviews that they are very friendly but i felt that it’s not like this. I felt they were very curt in the way they speak and look tired. Nonetheless, the location was good. Just right at the side of the Chinatown. The hotel is very budget not matching to its price, considering that I’ve been to 4 hotels during my stay. The lights goes off quickly at the foyer. The water flow was small. But it’s ok, it’s eco-friendly i guess. The miso soup at breakfast was the yummiest. The carpark was expensive and they will charge you if you arrive early or leave the car at their carpark accordingly after the check in and out hours. This is understandable but this is where the hotel lost some sense of touch here.
