The onsen is truly a hidden gem. Both dinner and breakfast were exceptional. The front desk staff were resourceful and helpful. My room faced the sea—despite the cloudy weather, it was lovely to catch a bit of sunshine and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Pros: •I don't see the point in just choosing a room here. Be sure to get a superior Japanese-style room with an open air bath or even a bungalow, and definitely one with a sea view. Then you're guaranteed a complete experience. •The hotel welcomes guests barefoot or in socks on tatami mats, a very pleasant and authentic experience. •VIEWS!! Gorgeous panoramic views of the ocean. •This is a traditional ryokan, so tattoos are not allowed, BUT I was immediately given tape to cover up the tattoos on my arms, and everything was fine. •Delicious food, lots of delicious food! The breakfasts are especially amazing. •The hotel offers a lot of complimentary drinks, and the after-onsen area has free ice cream and cold water. They serve local ramen from 10-11 PM also complementary. •All the onsen are very clean and cool. Especially the male and female one, built into a cliff right on the ocean shore, has a view. By the way, they provide special clothing, so if you're shy, don't worry. •There were no stink bugs. It's important to understand that this is nature, and insects are normal. Cons: •Despite the fact that many foreigners stay here, there's almost no English navigation and the staff speaks very little English. •There are only two private onsen, and the ryokan is huge; it was easiest to get the key to the private ones in the evening. •The main dishes at the kaiseki dinner were surprisingly disappointing (dry rice and tasteless noodles), although the other dishes were very good. •The onsen are closed from 10:00 to 15:00, so there's nothing to do during these 5 hours, especially if the weather is bad 😭 •The ryokan doesn't offer food other than breakfast and dinner and don’t have a restaurant, so if it rains or a typhoon, you'll have to go outside the hotel to find food. Conclusion: If this is your first ryokan, it's probably better to choose a more tourist-oriented one. If you want to fully immerse yourself in onsen culture and be captivated by the ocean, this is a great choice ☺️

Otel, Wakayama Kalesi'nin karşısında mükemmel bir konuma sahiptir. Oda penceresinden kale kulesini ve parkı görebilirsiniz! JR Wakoyama İstasyonu'ndan otele otobüsle yalnızca on beş dakika, taksiyle ise yaklaşık yedi ila sekiz dakika sürer. Otelden bir ila iki dakika uzaklıkta bir otobüs durağı bulunmaktadır. Otel, nisan ayında yenilenmiştir. Odalar ve banyolar çok yeni ve temizdir, boyutları büyüktür (Japon otel standartlarına göre), tam donanımlıdır, bol miktarda şarj istasyonu vardır ve daha da şaşırtıcı olan bir masaj koltuğu vardır! Bir günlük gezinin ardından masaj koltuğuna oturup otelde dinlenebilirsiniz, harika! Otelin alt katındaki alışveriş merkezinde kitapçılar ve çeşitli restoranlar var. Japon restoranını denedim. Yemekler lezzetliydi, porsiyonlar yeterliydi ve fiyatlar çok uygundu. Otelde kahvaltı rezervasyonu yapmadım. Alışveriş merkezinin zemin katında lezzetli sandviçler ve diğer atıştırmalıkların bulunduğu bir fırın var. Kahvaltı sorun değil! Otelin ön büro hizmeti çok iyi, birçok personel akıcı bir şekilde İngilizce konuşuyor ve giriş ve çıkış işlemleri çok verimli! Bu harika bir konaklama deneyimiydi ve bir dahaki sefere yine orada kalacağım!

Pleasant stay! The hotel even provide free noodles and ice cream. Definitely will come back here if I’m in Wakayama.

The room is a bit too small and crammy for a couple, however the standard of service, quality of cleaning and room amenities are beyond criticism. Perhaps should have booked a bigger room

We loved everything). It was an amazing stay, location is superb, so is the room. The view from the room on the beach and the bay is better than any praise). Also we appriciated the day and night drink service. The plum juice is so delicious. We only took breakfast, but it was tasty and a very unique experience. The room was well equipped with rying accessories, which is useful after you come back from the beach. And also the mosquito fumigator really helped us out. We would love to come back).

room is so bigger & onsen is large both is clear and comfortable they have free welcome drink is very nice , as we're so enjoy for this service lobby staff is nice and english communicate is no problem we will choose this hotel again

The hotel is situated at a secluded corner of Wakayama prefecture. It is much preferable to drive here rather than relying on the infrequent hotel shuttle. Public transport is otherwise non existent. There are no restaurants around the hotel. However the hotel provides delicious meals with abundant fresh seafood. The in room dining experience is superb. The hotel staff service is impeccable. The room has a spectacular sea view allowing you to see the sunset on clear days. The onsen also faces the sea which provides a relaxing experience. A downside is that the hotel does not seem to sanitize the slippers for indoor use. All hotel guests had to change to their slippers to access their indoor facilities.

Comfy bed, large and clean room. Have common areas like shared kitchen at the residence. The residence is located next to the main block of the hotel. You have to walk outside for ~2min to travel to the main block if you would like to enjoy the hot spring / play at the game room / exchange for new towels. Hot spring is nice, with indoor and outdoor areas. The outdoor one is with stunning sea view. There are snooker, table tennis, and other games in the game room for all guests.

The location is just fine for seeing museums, it’s just for eating options (including supermarkets) that it’s a bit out of the way. Microwave and vending machines on the ground floor. It’s a good value and glad I picked this for my 3 night stay. I didn’t try the breakfast since it looked like it might be fully booked from the sign but I might have been misunderstanding what it was saying.
