Ubicación genial, a un paso del centro histórico. Habitación muy cómoda y bien decorada. Piscina muy agradable, aunque por la tarde está a la sombra. Buen aparcamiento exterior. Personal amable. A mejorar: el desayuno. El café es malísimo, imperdonable en Portugal y en un establecimiento de este nivel.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and enjoyed our stay very much. The people at the reception were very nice and our room was clean and comfortable and had a view of the park. The hotel bar was really nice too, I had the best Irish Coffee! We didn't eat in the restaurant for dinner but we had our breakfast there every morning, they had a very nice selection of items. The hotel is in a great location in the city and Viseu is also a very nice city.

Very beautiful place right in the mountain and with ample parking. Lots of birds and 10 min walk to the moorish castle. A memorable stay with very friendly host. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Quinta de Sao Luis. The property is well located and surrounded by the vineyards. The room offers a nice view. Breakfast is delicious. However, the price for dinner is a bit pricey compared to the quantity of food.

Pleasant stay in this hotel. It is designed in a quite modern and stylish way coming with good amenities. Breakfast was sufficient for me (as I’m usually not a big breakfast eater). All the staffs were helpful and friendly. Only the con is that I encountered their argument scenes twice in a row, in a same day… you don’t want to see or hear loud arguments by employees first in the morning at breakfast, 7am! Please be more mindful of the guest and do not show it. I didn’t feel good about it, so I cannot give full 5 stars, otherwise I liked the stay and would love to come back.

O Hotel atingiu as espectativas que tinha, pois já conhecia o empreendimento e mantêm a qualidade do serviço e das instalações.
Relativamente ao preço, o valor apresentado pela Trip foi extremamente competitivo em relação às restantes agências para as mesmas condições de serviço, e mesmo em relação ao preço que seria cobrado pelo próprio Hotel em reserva directa (o que não consigo compreender...).
O pequeno-almoço disponibilizado foi de excelente qualidade e em quantidade.
O atendimento foi excelente sendo todos os colaboradores em serviço no hotel nesses 2 dias de uma simpatia e eficiência muito acima da média.
No entanto, fiquei um pouco decepcionado por a agência Trip, porque até agora, ainda não me ter enviado a Fatura relativamente ao valor pago. A única certeza de que tenho que o pagamento foi efectuado, foi-me dada pelo recepcionista do Hotel que me disse que os quartos estavam pagos, mas que não me podia passar uma Factura pois o pagamento tinha sido efectuado à Agência - o que é natural!). Nesta situação a falta de Factura foi muito desagradável porque reservei e paguei 3 quartos (para nós e para mais 2 casais amigos) e até agora não tenho nenhum comprovativo de pagamento para ”fazer as contas” com eles.

MMisafir KullanıcıWe stayed here for our wedding night, and while parts of the property are well thought out, the overall experience didn’t meet expectations for the price and rating.
Positives first: the hotel is beautiful and tastefully designed. The spa is a highlight—well kept and run by a warm, professional attendant. The saltwater pool is nicely maintained and a thoughtful touch.
However, service overall lacked consistency and polish. A number of small missteps throughout our stay accumulated into an experience that didn’t meet 5-star standards.
At the pool—during a heatwave—we couldn't get service for nearly 2 hours. No one was staffing the bar, though it was stocked and locked with a tick chain—odd, especially since there’s an honesty bar inside. I tried calling reception, bar, room service—no one picked up. It felt like I was filling in for missing staff. Eventually someone came and we could finally order drinks.
At breakfast, I had a frustrating exchange. I asked for sliced bread or a knife to slice the rolls, and the server replied defensively, saying I should slice the bread at my table and return to toast it—but I only had a butter knife…
Breakfast overall didn’t meet expectations. Ingredients were good, but offerings were limited. One morning, there were no eggs at all on the buffet. Hot items were available on request (for sustainability), but with just one staff member, service was slow and inaccurate. Waiting 15 min for coffee or wrong egg orders isn’t aligned with luxury standards. By contrast, breakfast at Solar de Vilar Seco—where we stayed just before—was luxurious and abundant, with premium cheeses, international options, and stunning variety. Chef Gilbert deserves praise.
Our room was fine by 5-star basics but felt small and underwhelming for the price and the setting (a former royal manor). Again comparing with Solar de Vilar Seco: rooms there were bigger, airier, and restored with original 18th-century details, creating a far more luxurious feel.
There were also some odd quirks. Guests have to ring a bell and explain themselves multiple times—even to re-enter from the garden or spa. I get the intent is security, but the execution felt intrusive and didn’t match the relaxed vibe expected in a place like this.
The service tone, while not rude, felt more guarded than warm. Staff rarely smiled, and basic interactions—from front desk to breakfast to housekeeping—lacked the ease and attentiveness that define luxury hospitality. Service should anticipate needs, not react to them—and here it often felt reactive and flat.
Finally, a personal note: we mentioned this was our wedding night on our booking, a detail many hotels mark with a small gesture. I’ve had handwritten notes, a treat, a spa perk, even upgrades—all of which make a guest feel seen. In this case, nothing. I mentioned it again at check-in—it was brushed off. This isn’t about freebies; it’s about feeling that the hotel values your special moment. That was completely missing.

호텔은 포도농장 안에 위치해 있으며, 도우루 계곡을 내려다보는 전망이 매우 뛰어납니다. 직원들도 매우 친절하고 전반적으로 조용한 분위기라 편안하게 머물 수 있었습니다.
특히 아침식사는 정성스럽게 준비해 주셔서 인상 깊었고, 만족도가 높았습니다.

MMisafir KullanıcıAmazing location if you're looking to relax. You're surrounded by peace, quiet and amazing views of the Douro Valleys. The pool area is great in a warm and sunny day and we enjoyed walking around the property in between the vines and the apple trees (the girls found it incredible to taste fruit after picking it up themselves). Breakfast is decent (the coffee was particularly good) although I would encourage a broader offering (there were no lactose free choices, for instance). Overall, it was a very good experience and I would happily go back.

Big garden with grapes and olive trees, kiwi and qrapes on top of the parking lot. Enough parking space. Definitely worth a visit during your douro valley tour. Some nice restaurants to visit in the small towns nearby. Tasty wine from own production and very friendly owners

AAdi ChungA very beautiful winery hotel with a quiet environment and peacocks walking around the vineyard. My favorite is breakfast. The food is diverse, fresh and delicious, and the restaurant has an endless view. The hotel's location is 1.5 hours' drive from the airport, which is very convenient. The hotel service is very good and there are many activities to choose from. I will come back next time.
