"We stayed at Novotel Dalian Zhongshan as a family, and chose it largely because it’s a newly opened hotel (2025). While the location felt slightly less central than we expected, it was hardly a drawback—taxi fares are very affordable, making it easy to get around. Having a convenience store on the first floor was also a real advantage, especially for families. The room itself was immaculately clean, exceptionally spacious, and paired with a beautiful view, it made for a very comfortable stay. We were also genuinely pleased with the fruit and beverage service, which felt thoughtful and welcoming. One more highlight: the delivery robot was fascinating—no matter how many times we saw it, it still felt surprisingly cool and memorable! Overall, a modern, well-maintained hotel that we’d happily recommend to families seeking comfort and a touch of something new."

"Ok, location is good, because all the luxury brands are directly downstairs, but hey if you're not there to splurge, no point~ because getting to other popular shopping malls or tourist attraction, there's just no advantage. You may think you get VIP or warm greeting service, but honestly... only if you're lucky AND SEEN and if it's like from 12pm to 3pm? Cause i think that's when their staffs are alert. Next on, check-in is normal, nothing special, remember to pay a deposit. Next on, going to your room, someone will help you with your luggage to your room, which is great, because the floor is so carpeted it is hard to drag the luggage if it's really huge and heavy. Next on, the room... I have so much to comment. First of all, furniture looks old. Toilet is great (+1 point) because it is indeed the biggest and most spacious one i have seen. The cleaning folks does a good job cleaning the toilet BUT! i just cannot understand why can't they just change the smelly damped pillows???????? it's already there when we first checked in. It smells horrible, like your teenage cousin's wet sock after soccer practise in a shoe that never dried after washing. Gross! The really funny part is, you would imagined for such a huge room, the TV would be reasonably sized considering the distance from the bed. HAHAHHAHA, it's so small. I finally understand what it means by 'when someone is speechless, they really would laugh'. 人在无语的时候真的会笑. Like, you are a 5 star luxurious hotel but you can't give a bigger TV that has more modern functions???? Am i still living in the 2000s? Ok fine, maybe they have no budgets for upgrade, fine... It's not like we travel halfway across the globe to watch TV in bed. Next, TAKEAWAYS. Like this really made me so angry, they literally take no responsibility in helping you bring up the food. I mean I don't mind going down to take it myself but let me know i have to! They literally left my stuff there 30 mins until i called them. And the ridiculous part was the delivery guy actually took a photo to show me how he had already passed it to a staff and informed them to deliver it up! Next, their restaurant. Paid for a course meal, and instead of the dishes being served up one after another, they served everything up at one go... wow, ok fine no big deal. BUT dessert took 30 mins and not served. Do you know what is a coursed meal? Do you need to retrain your staffs? Do you think we could have finished the dishes so quickly? Aren't we supposed to savour the dishes and take our time because your head chef took time to design the menu and wine pairings? Like your service really defeats all purpose of us opting to have dinner there. So the irony is we were rushed through our food; we literally felt like we had to speed up because what if the dishes went cold. Then they took forever to serve dessert and we already told them we need had a movie coming up and we were running late. BAD SERVICE. Overall, my review for this hotel is that, you're lucky you HAD GOOD REPUTATION & BRANDING in the past, but you are FRAILING. You do not deserve 5 star in almost all areas non-related to location. Yes, you may be considered luxurious because you're at the most prime area of Shenyang but so what? Your service and facilities are at most mid-range 4 star. Even 4 star hotels now have robots that would deliver takeaways and TV bigger than yours, and their pillows are clean, what an absolute joke. OK, maybe let's not get so negative, last redeeming factor: you do have a nice view of the city. For service, you may want to learn from your peers like Sofitel, Atour or Serendipidia. You're welcome."

"The hotel itself was great. It really felt like an old but very well-kept up building that seemed very classy. I did experience a bit of a hiccup during checking with someone cutting in front of us in line, and the staff didn’t do anything about it. Due to this, I can’t give it 5 stars. However, the amenities are wonderful. The hotel has a gym equipped with a very clean and modern locker room, spa, and a swimming pool. The breakfast was also pretty good. For the price, it’s hard to beat in Shenyang. I would recommend it mainly for families, as there are activities and facilities for children."

"The hotel is new and it’s decoration is nice. We stayed in the villa and it was wsrmed up well. The spa area is vell organized and kidszone is great. The restaurant was also good. The water cleanliness in the pools should be checked more often."

"Başlangıçta sadece bir gece rezervasyon yapmıştım; diğer iki gece için Dalian'da, puanları çok yüksek ve yakınlarda başka bir otelde yer ayırtmıştım. Ancak Kale Otel'de bir gece konakladıktan sonra burayı çok sevdim. Odalar özellikle güzeldi ve otel bir tepede olduğu için manzarası da oldukça geniş ve büyüleyiciydi. İkinci gece diğer otelde kaldığımda, deneyimim Kale Otel'le kıyaslandığında çok kötüydü. Bu yüzden uğraşarak son gece için tekrar Kale Otel'e geri döndüm. Kalmadan önce sürekli Kale Otel'in tesislerinin eski olduğuna ve listenin başındaki diğer oteller kadar iyi olmadığına dair yorumlar görüyordum. Ancak giriş yaptığımda, tesislerin aslında ***et iyi bakıldığını ve endişelenmeye gerek olmadığını fark ettim. Odaların dekorasyonu ve tasarımı özenle hazırlanmış; Avrupa şatosu tarzında, kaba veya görgüsüz zengin tarzında değil. Otel lobisi ve manzara terası da olağanüstü güzeldi; harika fotoğraflar çekilebiliyordu, hatta bazıları sırf fotoğraf çekmek için özel olarak buraya geliyordu. Son olarak, ve çok önemli, otelin bize tahsis ettiği, güzel ve nazik bir hanımefendi olan misafir ilişkileri sorumlusunu özellikle takdir etmek isterim. "Very nice and modern room. Very clean. However,the room was facing the busy street in front with a lot of traffic,and windows are not totally soundproof. Staff is friendly,some English spoken. Not too much around the hotel though,Luckin coffee shop right by. Not too far from both railway stations,Shenyang station and north station. Metro about 10 min walk away. Bus stop right outside with buses to the train station/metro and main central area."

"Here is the English version, neutral and factual, as you prefer: English translation The décor and facilities look dated. It’s slightly below the standards one would expect from a Hilton hotel. The price reflects this as well, while still being expensive for a city like Shenyang. The staff are very friendly. They agreed to a late check-out. Breakfast is really poor for the price: the fruit juices come from cartons rather than being freshly pressed, the pastries are industrial, and the fried eggs are overcooked. I would recommend avoiding it."
