The room was very clean and comfortable, big enough to fit 2 large sized luggages and additional baggage.
Location is so convenient just opposite the Hakodate train station and bus station making it ideal for sightseeing around Hakodate. There are souvenir shops and a drugstore just beside the hotel.
It’s also just one street beside the Hakodate morning where you can hop over for fresh sashimi and uni. The Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses is just a walkable distance with plenty of restaurants to choose from.
The hotel bar is also nice and cosy with an amazing night view.
Sapporo Hotel by Granbell offers a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The staff are friendly, professional, and always ready to help, which makes guests feel genuinely welcomed from the moment they arrive.
The hotel itself is modern and clean, with immaculate rooms that reflect great attention to detail. We booked a corner suite and were delighted to be assigned a high-level room with a fantastic view, which made the stay even more memorable.
Location is another strong point. The hotel is conveniently situated near Sapporo Station, making it easy to get around the city. Major shopping destinations such as Stellar Place, Daimaru, and other large malls are all within easy reach, perfect for dining and shopping.
One thing to note for travelers who are driving: although parking is available at the hotel, there is a daily parking fee for hotel guests. This is worth factoring into your plans if you intend to rent a car.
Overall, Sapporo Hotel by Granbell is an excellent choice for travelers seeking a modern, well-located hotel with friendly service and high-quality rooms.
Love natural hot-spring bath here especially open-air onsen with bossa nova music. Good service and facilities here. We can also choose extra pillow and aroma on the 2nd floor. Breakfast is the best as you all know. Unlimited ikura, mentai etc. sparkling to fresh up your morning.
This looks like a higher-tiered hotel, but the amenities they provided were sorely lacking. For example, they did not provide any lotion or emulsion or essence in the room or at the reception desk. And for the razor and hairbrush, they were chargeable. Even the onsen was chargeable too. I thought the onsen should be included in the stay. My child and I used it for three times and I had to pay more than 5,000 yen.
Had a lovely stay at this hotel in Sapporo. The room was a decent size and came with a couple of thoughtful touches that made the stay more comfortable. One of the highlights was definitely the view—our room overlooked a beautiful park, and since it was sakura season, we were lucky enough to enjoy the cherry blossoms right from our window. It was a truly relaxing and memorable experience.
The TV offered a surprisingly wide variety of channels, which was great for unwinding in the evening. Location-wise, the hotel is conveniently close to Nakajimakoen Station, making it easy to get around the city.
Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay with a perfect mix of convenience, comfort, and seasonal beauty.
La'gent Stay Hakodate Ekimae provided an excellent base for exploring Hakodate. The location is unbeatable—it's incredibly close to JR Hakodate Station, the main bus terminal, and tram stops, making travel seamless.
The convenience continues right outside the door, with a variety of food options and a convenience store just steps away, perfect for any need.
The hotel's onsen was a true highlight. It was wonderfully relaxing and the perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The facilities were clean and well-maintained.
Combining prime location, great amenities, and a relaxing onsen, this hotel offers outstanding value. I highly recommend La'gent Stay Hakodate Ekimae and would not hesitate to book here again.
A brand new hotel offering rooms larger than the typical Japanese standard size. Excellent location, about a 5-minute walk from Sapporo Railway Station, with direct access to the subway station and the underground passage.
We searched high and low for the best hotel to stay in Sapporo and luckily found ABeST’s rooms were still available to fit 4 of us. The bathroom is clean, toiletries were prepared accordingly and i like how they prepared all these items (per picture) at lobby. I love the oil face wash 🙈
Nicely renovated hotel. Unfortunately staff are new and surprising not many front desk staff can converse in English.
Breakfast was good with many choices. However, we couldnt eat most of the time as my family has to go for activities early like skiing and local tours. The cafe staff allows us to start breakfast before the opening time but an English speaking lady with a coat turned up one morning and stopped us from starting breakfast early before the opening time. She was so rude and told us wait till 630 before we can touch the food!
I dont see why we cannot start with cereals that was already on display.
I will return to stay as the hotel is new, rooms are large and the onsen is clean and comfortable. There was a gym and laundry facilities too
Excellent location. Hotel’s elevator goes directly to
B1 where the Pole Town section of the underground shopping arcade. Pole Town has direct access to Susukino Subway station.
It is also surrounded by lots of shopping and eating places. Also, it’s directly opposite Mega Don Quijote!!!
Love this hotel and will definitely be back!!

MMisafir KullanıcıExcellent service provided by the staff, especially the one who did the check-in registeration for my family. Location is just a few mins walk from the subway. Hotel is new and well fitted out. Breakfast is tasty with an adequate spread. Highly recommended.
Rrosie_qiqiRoom is spacious with a private garden & outdoors onsen.
Welcome puddings were very yummy and yet the buffet in there was very insipid. Frankly speaking, the only two good foods there are sashimi and rice, what a shame.
Others: Very close to the lake, 1-2 minutes walk; a large and cozy lobby with good jazz music from an antique JBL sound system; live music performance every night; lots of books; fireplace and roasted marshmallows; lovely shop on the 3rd floor (prized reasonably). All is well except the buffet. Did not try the Japanese one (needs to book and pay a lot) hence a bit regretted.
MMisafir KullanıcıVery strategic location there is a AEON right behind so we get everything we need easily. Guruguru bus made the day easier with travelling around Hakodate as their transportation network is not so convenient
::))My first visit to Otaru was truly unforgettable, all thanks to my experience at this wonderful hotel!
Located just a pleasant 20-minute drive from Otaru Station, the hotel is nestled in a tranquil, private area that feels like stepping into a captivating wonderland. I was delighted to discover a bus stop right across from the hotel, making it effortlessly convenient to explore the surroundings.
From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us warmly by name, and they were incredibly helpful with our luggage. Taking off our shoes upon entering the hotel created a feeling of comfort and cleanliness that made us feel right at home. After a smooth check-in process, during which they confirmed our breakfast time, the staff graciously guided us through the hotel, sharing helpful information about opening hours for various amenities.
Our room was beautifully adorned in traditional Japanese style, complete with an open-air bath. Enjoying this serene experience during the winter was simply magical! We also savored a delectable Kaiseki dinner in our room, which was not only a feast for our taste buds but also left us delightfully satisfied.
The onsens were a real highlight, featuring an adjacent sauna. With daily alternating access for women and men every other day, we were able to enjoy both during our stay. Families will find this hotel exceptionally accommodating, thanks to its variety of playrooms and relaxation spaces catering to guests of all ages. Plus, the complimentary refreshments and bar in the lobby until 10 PM added a lovely touch to our experience.
Breakfast was a true delight, with a peaceful view of the snow outside the restaurant, enhancing the serene atmosphere.
On our departure day, the hotel thoughtfully arranged a shuttle bus to take us to the JR station, making our exit seamless and convenient.
Looking back, our only regret is that we stayed just one night—I can't wait to return and immerse myself in a different season's beauty. This hotel is now firmly on my list for future visits, and I’m already looking forward to the next adventure!
TThe 11 years old travelerWe had a wonderful stay at Protom International Hokkaido, and it became one of the most memorable parts of our trip.
The hotel kindly surprised us with a complimentary upgrade to the Junior Twin Suite, and the room was incredibly spacious, clean, and comfortable. We were so happy when we entered the room — it felt bright, modern, and very relaxing, especially after a long day of travel.
What touched us the most was the kindness of the hotel staff. Everyone was polite, warm, and always ready to help. Their hospitality made us feel truly welcomed, not just as guests, but like friends.
We are very grateful for the upgrade and the wonderful service. This stay made our Hokkaido trip even more special. We will definitely choose Protom International Hokkaido again next time.
Highly recommended. ( sorry about only the photos of the key)
MMisafir KullanıcıWe would like to extend our deepest appreciation to Ms. Tamori Minatsu for her exceptional help during our recent stay. Upon arriving at the hotel, we discovered that we had left a bag containing a wallet, cash, and cards at a restaurant in Kamikawa, nearly three hours away.
We approached Ms. Tamori for help. She listened attentively to understand our situation. The she contacted the restaurant to confirm that the bag had been found. The next day, she went above and beyond by helping us arrange for the bag to be safely delivered to our hotel in Sapporo.
Thanks to her efficiency, kindness, and genuine concern, a potential disaster turned into a heartwarming reminder of the hospitality and warmth we experienced in Hokkaido. We are truly grateful for her support — she made our trip not only smooth but also deeply memorable.
PPARAMEEVery new hotel. One of the most friendly and cozy staffs I have ever met. The room is spacious, new and very clean. The dinner is average but the breakfast is so good. The even brought our leftover rice in the pot to make onigiri to go. Will definitely go back again next time in Hokkaido.
MMisafir KullanıcıThe Windsor Hotel at Toya may boast its status as a premier 5-star luxury destination and its historic role as host of the 2008 G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit, but our recent stay fell far short of expectations.
Despite the grandeur of the location and its breathtaking views, the service quality was surprisingly poor for a hotel of this caliber. English communication was inconsistent and below the standard expected at an international luxury property. Housekeeping was careless—leaving a used cleaning towel on the bed after daily room service, which is simply unacceptable.
When I drove to the main entrance to pick up my family, I was abruptly asked to leave immediately, even though only a few cars were present. This lack of hospitality was jarring. Additionally, being charged for extra bottled water—something even 3-star hotels offer complimentary—felt petty and out of touch with luxury norms.
The most troubling experience came during checkout. Two of our international credit cards failed to process, and although we successfully paid with a third, the staff’s attitude was unprofessional. We were met with a sour expression and the word “FINALLY” once the transaction went through—an unacceptable remark that left a lasting negative impression.
While the hotel’s setting is undeniably beautiful, the overall service and treatment we received did not reflect the standards of a true 5-star experience. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve both staff training and guest relations.
MMisafir KullanıcıWe had booked total 7 rooms. Beginning from check in we had impressed how nice and friendly the counter lady, full of smile and patience. We come here by driving so not very sure about surroundings and public transportation. The hotel very clean and nice, so suddenly we all dun want go out, we just stay hotel, and feel 1 night not enough, Thank you.
MMisafir KullanıcıI chose this hotel specifically for its private bath, only to discover that reservations must be made 2-3 months in advance via email/phone call. The hotel does provide a shuttle bus from Sapporo city, which typically takes about an hour, but you also need to book that at least a month in advance, according to various bloggers. It was quite disappointing not to enjoy the private bath experience and to have to arrange our own transportation from/back to the city. The frustrating part is that you wouldn’t know the advance booking requirement when you make a reservation through Trip.com or similar platforms. Here’s a rephrased version of your statement:
I honestly find this quite unfair.
