We booked two rooms and found insects in ours on arrival. The staff was very apologetic and proactively upgraded us to a fantastic room with a private onsen and a stunning view of Mt. Yotei. The new room was flawless: incredibly clean, with top-notch amenities and free parking. I particular like the mirrors in the room, very friendly to lady that needs to use for make-up purposes and the full body length mirror. It shows the thoughtfulness of the hotel for lady guests! The hotel's handling of the situation was impeccable. They turned a negative into a overwhelmingly positive experience. Highly recommended!

The hotel is strategically located near to metro station (walking distance) and yet it's not too near to the tourist spot as it will be too noisy at night. I can just walk an extra mile to reach the center of Hokkaido. There is also a beautiful park with children playground next to the hotel, and it looks amazing with snow! The part I don't get used to initially was I have to pass the key to the lobby whenever I leave the hotel (I didn't ask much on the reason, I just accustomed to the practice). So far, they have been very helpful too! You can choose not to housekeep your room and they will offer you a free drink for that! But I still need them to housekeep my room everyday because we need the cleaner to clean the dustbin with diapers and tidy up the messy room with kid. My experience was pretty good!

This hotel is perfect if you don't want to walk far from Sapporo station and you need to leave early for the airport. Just a few minutes beside Stellar Place mall. Check in is strict as with all hotels in Japan at 3pm. The best part is the view. I got the room at level 34 facing north side of Sapporo and it was breathtaking. I booked 2 rooms and the staff was kind enough to accomodate my request for the rooms to be nearby. We got rooms next to each other. It was initially full booked and once I saw rooms available at the last minute, I took it. No regrets. The rooms are spacious too. Amenities are complete with both body and skincare products too. Breakfast was add on and we chose western cuisine. There were varieties but not that amazing. But the 360 view at the 35th floor restaurant is worth checking out.

It is a good ski in and out resort. The ski area is just at the resort itself, very convenient. there are many toilets and lockers around the resort. The room is dated though, they are still using turning knob for taps and mixer. I thought they should upgrade their rooms given the price we paid for the rooms. Toothbrushes and toothpastes and cotton pads. things, eg ski equipment rental and food, are expensive in the resort. There is nothing much to do other than skiing and snow play. Recommended for family stay.

The room is spacious and the location is super convenient as the bus stop just in front of the hotel, but the meal is just so so but not impressed. However the lounge is impressive with free drinks and dessert which also with massage chair, that is really the best part of the hotel.

The room was very clean and comfortable, big enough to fit 2 large sized luggages and additional baggage. Location is so convenient just opposite the Hakodate train station and bus station making it ideal for sightseeing around Hakodate. There are souvenir shops and a drugstore just beside the hotel. It’s also just one street beside the Hakodate morning where you can hop over for fresh sashimi and uni. The Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses is just a walkable distance with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The hotel bar is also nice and cosy with an amazing night view.

A huge hotel without any personal attention. No hello when you enter the shop of the hotel, this is the first time for my experience in Japan. Cleaning service is not optimal, still some plastics left behind on the desk between the guide. No tea bags in the room when we want to have a cup of tea, go to reception to get the tea bags and the first thing the staff asks is which room number, after that then I get the tea bags, no any apologies for no tea bags available in the room. The hot spring is huge but also a lot of people, very crowded, no space and no time to enjoy the hotspots spring. One very good thing, you can get an icecream after the hot spring.

Just opened and absolutely sublime. If you need a reset, this new onsen hotel is the perfect retreat. Also with good view of 洞爺湖. The hot spring baths are pristine and calming—the Rooms are a beautiful blend of modern comfort and traditional style, and the multi-course kaiseki dinner is unforgettable. What stands out is the serene atmosphere and the attentive, proud staff. It feels both luxurious and deeply peaceful. Go. Soak. Unwind. You’ll leave refreshed and already wanting to return.

We had a good overall stay at Daiichi Takimotokan, a large traditional ryokan-style hotel. While the property is a little dated, it is well maintained and kept clean. The hotel itself offers plenty to do, including restaurants, a souvenir shop, simple arcade games, karaoke, massage services, a public onsen, and even a small reading area with Japanese books. You can easily spend time exploring the building without needing to go out. The location is very convenient. It is just outside the main (short) shopping street and within walking distance to Jigokudani, making it easy to explore the area. Our stay included breakfast and dinner buffet. Dinner had a wide variety of options, including popular sashimi selections and steamed snow crabs, along with both Japanese and Western dishes. Breakfast was a simpler spread but still satisfying. We stayed in a Japanese-style room and found the futons comfortable to sleep on. As we visited during winter, the room had central heating only. At times, we cooled the room by slightly opening the window to let in some cold air. Yukata robes are provided in the room (or you can choose one that fits you at the lobby), and you can wear them around the hotel when heading to the onsen, restaurants, or arcade. The public onsen area is spacious and features many different pools with various functions, so you can take your time and enjoy the experience. Just remember to wash yourself thoroughly at the shower stations before entering the onsen pools. Unfortunately, we did not try the outdoor onsen despite it being open — we were a little intimidated by the winter cold! Overall, we would recommend this hotel, especially for first-timers who want to experience staying in a traditional ryokan. Tip: There are direct buses to and from the hotel from New Chitose Airport and Sapporo. The bus stop is only about 50 metres from the hotel entrance, which made walking in the snow much easier for us. However, the service runs only once a day, so be sure to check the schedule and plan your itinerary accordingly.

Hilton Niseko is strategically located at Niseko Village and ski resort is a next steps away. The hotel looks a dated by overall interior still looks just fine. Hotel service is superb and amenities are great. Places to eat are only available a few and for more affordable foods you have to go Hirafu. Shuttle bus is available to Hirafu and kutchan station. Onsen at the hotel is absolutelly stunning. Very well recimmended hotel overall
