"My Stay at a Hot Spring Hotel in Lake Shikotsu Marukoma Onsen Ryokan is truly a hidden hot spring hotel that few people know about. It's a rare outdoor hot spring hotel in Hokkaido, directly facing the unfrozen Lake Shikotsu. The scenery is incredibly beautiful! However the transportation is terrible 😞😞😞. It's close to New Chitose Airport, and is too far away from the city. There are only 3-4 public buses per day and it took hours to get there. 🥹🥹😭😭😭 But if you're driving on a self-drive trip, then forget it. The hotel occupies a large area by the lake, and there are no restaurants around since its secluded location 🥹🥹. If you don't book meals in advance, you can only buy instant food from the hotel's convenience store. Fortunately, you may have a high chance of encountering deer. Anyway, the outdoor hot spring is free. In the morning, there are usually no people around, so you can take photos. Private Hot Springs: There are two private hot - spring pools, one indoor and one semi -enclosed facing the outside. But! You must book it during the daytime. It gets dark early in winter. If you booked it at 7 p.m. then you couldn't see anything. The breakfast is good."

"Hotel are elegant and japanese style design. Room are clean and big, beds are comfy, toilet are clean, TV got lots of local channels. Check-in out are quick, we ask for extra pillows, they delivered it fast and also ask for re-heat the food from lawson by microware, they are happy to help. The toilet are quite advance, it is automatic toilet lid. Hotel also provide bathing salt for bathing ^_^, Two thumbs up!!! We take the midnite flight to CTS domestic airport, Hotel are located at international terminal. I am quite surprised that the walkway between domestic and international terminals will be shutdown after midnite. Luckily, I told the airport security we go to hotel, they open the gate and let us thorough. Overall, the hotel are great and everything beyond the standard. Definitely, one of my choice when I back to sapporo."

"One of the best ryokans I have visited in Hokkaido There are 2x 7 feet bed (very comfy), big projector in the living room, and the in room onsen was spacious and clean! Clean and modern rooms with a smart tv The room was overlooking the snow and unfortunately lake view was blocked by the snow. Both dinner and breakfast were of top notch quality (we have tried many and they're usually very average), every dish was delicious and we were very full and satisfied. There was also a free beer to each guest every night, big selection of black teas in the lounge and free inari sushi (which was btw delicious!!!) Definitely 100%% would recommend to anyone that is looking for a last stop before heading to the airport"

"Wonderful location - secluded near Lake Shikotsu. Great for scenic walks although not easy during winter snow. Walkable to the lake lookout at the Yumasen red bridge. Nice little onsen for evening / morning baths. Great breakfast spread albeit a bit short (have to be done by 9:30am)."

"From the moment we arrived at Mizu no Uta, Tsuruga Resort at Lake Shikotsu, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of tranquil luxury. Valet parking greeted us, and we were swiftly escorted to a path lined with zen music, setting the tone for a stay where every detail exudes serenity. Upon entering the reception, a majestic wooden carving of an owl, a powerful symbol of protection in Ainu culture, watched over us. In a delightful and intimate touch, we were asked to remove our shoes – a gesture that immediately made the resort feel like a sanctuary. Walking barefoot on soft wooden floors in such a refined environment felt like the ultimate indulgence. Live harp music floated through the air as we were led past a live fireplace, its warm flames inviting guests to roast marshmallows, adding a whimsical, yet homely feel to the elegant surroundings. The staff, attentive yet discreet, escorted us to our room via separate lifts, ensuring our luggage was seamlessly handled. Entering the room, we were struck by its sheer spaciousness. A half-sized fridge, thoughtfully included, perfectly stored all our chilled treats from the road trip. But the true star was the view: an uninterrupted panorama of lush greenery, stretching out to meet the serene waters of Lake Shikotsu. The combination of the stunning scenery and the luxurious in-room robe made us feel like chaebols, lounging in opulence and shielded from the cool lakeside breeze. As for the dining, the buffet at Mizu no Uta is nothing short of spectacular. Where many buffets struggle to balance quantity and quality, this resort excels at both. Highlights included a live dessert station and a live pizza-making corner, where thin-crust pizzas, surprisingly better than those from Furano’s famed Cheese Factory, were expertly prepared. The spread also featured an incredible assortment of sashimi – the freshest I encountered during my 1.5-week trip across various hotels. The salmon and mackerel, both raw and uniquely marinated in glass jars, were exceptional. The hot dishes maintained the same elevated standard. A simple tomato-based clam spaghetti was transformed by the quality of ingredients, while even the sautéed kailan was enhanced with the addition of Parma ham. Local produce, such as the fresh broccoli used in the cream-based dishes, lent an unmistakable brightness to each bite. The combination of Japanese and Western cuisine was balanced beautifully, with every plate delivering a sense of thoughtful craftsmanship. Of course, no stay at a lakeside resort would be complete without a visit to the onsen bath. While slightly smaller than the one at Lake Akan, the onsen here is far superior in cleanliness and upkeep. Conveniently, the bath is stocked with towels, so there’s no need to carry your own from the room. The experience is further enhanced by a sauna illuminated with soothing blue light, adding a layer of tranquility to the ritual. The open-air onsen is another highlight. For those who appreciate the purity of nature, the bath even features drinkable Lake Shikotsu water, renowned as one of Japan’s top 100 spring waters. This thoughtful touch, coupled with the stunning views, creates an immersive experience that is equal parts restorative and luxurious."

"什麼都挺好的，餐食很精緻，儀式感拉滿，不過就是吃精緻，實際口味和食材普通，無功無過。整體體驗給予肯定。預訂前，在評論區看到過帶小孩的收費不超過1000一位，我結算時，看到價格都驚呆了，一位小孩每晚差不多加了4000人民幣，我們帶了兩位小孩一晚加了8000人民幣，相當於一晚房費，我特別想知道酒店是一直這麼收費的嗎？我們住了兩晚，加了差不多16000人民幣，我們在攜程預訂的房型還不包晚餐。簡直當了冤大頭。僅給後面的國人同胞一個參考，不是一定要住，可以不住。酒店方方面面都可以，公區還算漂亮，房間大但是缺乏設計感。比較居家吧！但是設施少，不適合親子，價格對親子勸退。在日本京都住了柏悦，非常好的酒店，小孩就衹收了早餐費，碧之座收小孩的費用太誇張了。另外，酒店旁邊的支笏湖挺漂亮的，衹是這裏的交通真的不方便，酒店在千歲機場有接送，下午衹有16:45分，衹有一個時間，想銜接上真的有點難度，我們打車去因為晚上車很少，打的大概500人民幣。從酒店打的去札幌JR1000人民幣左右。因為預訂時，可以參考的訊息太少，所以把我原來特別想了解的訊息發佈給大家參考。"
