"Hotel is very centrally located near to commercial area so lots of food options. Hotel staff is very helpful. Hotel is just 15 minutes walk to countty resort scenic area and short ride to the outer temples. The room is very spacious. Our room faces the road and in the daytime it is noisy with traffic and from various announcements and music from shops along the street. But at night it is very quiet. Breakfast buffet spread is good but mainly Chinese food. Will recommend this hotel just be aware of the noise in daytime."

"The river view room is very spacious, we absolutely love it. The breakfast is good as well, got a mixture of local cuisine and western food, both my husband and I quite enjoyed it. The only downside is that we found some bugs on our curtains for the last night stay:( the reception people are quite helpful for arranging a room switch. Overall, we quite enjoyed our time staying at this hotel."

Es waren draußen fast -20 Grad, aber innen war es wohlig warm. Der Besitzer hat uns gute Tipps für die Wanderung auf der Mauer gegeben. Das hausgemachte Essen war überaus köstlich. In den Zimmern hängen wunderschöne Fotografien der Mauer, die der Besitzer selbst angefertigt hat. Egal was wir benötigt haben, sie haben sich bestens und rührend um uns gekümmert. Vielen lieben Dank für die wunderbare Zeit! Wir werden wiederkommen 😊

Transportation by car was arranged to and from the train station as well as for heading up the hill at 6am to the Jinshanling great wall park entrance to catch sunrise from the Great Wall at the top. It is possible to just walk up to the gate instead, it just takes longer to walk the 2 km to the ticket checking gate, and there is then still some maybe 15 mins of walking uphill before getting to the top. Photos show the view from my room, the menu of the hotel restaurant, dinner (尖椒豆片炒肉), and breakfast (fried rice and soup).

The staff was really helpful and friendly as well. As for the room it was spotless and even though we got given a smoking room it didn't smell. All in all pleasant experience.

MMisafir KullanıcıStayed over for one night at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel at Chengde. The entrance to the hotel was congested with cars. The parking attendance in front of the hotel wasn't really helpful when my driver dropped us off to check in to the hotel. What he cares was just faster unload and removed the car form that area. He offered no help at all. I was not sure if the parking attendance was employed by the Hilton hotel. If yes then the service was really not up par with the Hilton standard for customer service standard. We carried one large luggages and few smaller bags. We have to carry it over few flights of stairs to get in to the hotel entrance. The sliding path to get into the hotel entrance was not located in front of the hotel entrance but was hidden at the side that was obscured or partially blocked by the parking car at the front. The reception lady was very friendly though. We were given high floor and she scanned my WeChat to easy contact with the hotel later. The hotel room was very spacious and beautiful but the room was stuffy. Only one tiny small window was able to open a little bit to let the outside air go in. The afternoon temperature was as high as 25 degrees Celcius and rather HOT inside the room. We cannot adjust the aircon in the room as it is central setting! Called to the reception to ask why the room air con can't be adjusted and it seems not working but was told it is central setting. Well, you paid a lots to stay at the hotel without proper ventilation but to rely on the outside air to go in the tiny window. Despite the hotel facility was complete but we still cannot really enjoy and sleep comfortably as we felt HOT. The hotel separates the bathroom from toilet. The washing basin was outside of the bathroom. The breakfast was good with lots of variety. After checking out, I realised I might have left my traveller adaptor in the room. Immediately Isent a text to the hotel via WeChat but to my disappointment, it took two days for them to reply my message asking me to self contact the front desk counter to ask yourself?! What kind of service of that??? Asking hotel guest to add them on WeChat but still asking us to self call the front desk? Not all tourists will have local Sim card to make phone call. That is really a disappointment. They should have offered a better service by checking with the front desk counter and then get back to us via WeChat. This Hilton is definitely still a long way to go to achieve better rating. The hotel is closed to q night market that offers lots of street foods. There was one food stall that offer very palatable Chu Cheong fun. The experience was not pleasant for my one night stay.

LLika DatuashviliIf you want a getaway from beijing heat, this place is really close and easy to get access to, stuff is really friendly and this place looks like a heaven. The whole stuff did their best to make my stay cery comfortable, offered some free cocktails, even took me back to the train station because I left very late. Views are amazing, in the evening it’s chill, overall , I had really amazing and relaxing 2 days at this place.

Service and hospitality is top notch and absolutely grateful to have such a nice bunch of staff who were super friendly and warm. The hotel was near Jin Shan Ling (about 5 mins drive) and they even offered to drive and pick us to and fro the hotel and Jin Shan Ling. Within the hotel, they were concerned with us feeling cold so they ferried us to our room as our room was a few mins walk away, and fetched us from our room to the lobby when we wanted to hang out at their chill areas there which turned out to be really relaxing.
They served super sumptuous meals including a hot pot set which was great for winter and even offered us complimentary dishes as part of winter solstice.
One of the staff named Henry Zhang gave us a tour at their exhibition centre showing the various scenic areas in 四季山, 金山岭 and 北京城! We enjoyed the experience sharing from him and the explanation to the various attraction sites, appreciate the sweet gesture as he didn’t actually had to do that but he did so!
Room was absolutely great and spacious, extremely clean and comfortable with heaters inside the restrooms which was super nice. It was a good night rest for us.
Breakfast was their local dishes which was great too and super filling (buns, eggs, porridge, dough sticks, specialty cold dishes).
All in all, we had no complains from the time we checked in, super loved the experience and it definitely make us want to book another trip here again soon!

BBay YeowHotel just a short walking distance to Jinshanling great wall entrance. After 4 hrs climbing up and down great wall. It good to walk back to hotel for a rest. Room is spacious and simple. Breakfast is typical Chinese style -- porridge, bun, vegetables. They do offer cook food at reasonable price.
Only con is toilet floor will be wet after showering.

RRonSnijA nice hotel with a great location near the Jinshanlin mid-gate. From the hotel, we took two long and beautiful 10km walks along the Great Wall. The room we stayed in for two nights was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were excellent. It's a large hotel, and unfortunately, there were few other guests. The private car transfer to Beijing, which we arranged through reception for an agreed-upon price, ultimately wasn't handled well and caused us considerable frustration. After leaving, it turned out the driver wasn't allowed to enter Beijing's inner ring road with his car, and shortly afterward, he suddenly asked for a higher price for the ride.
