"Beautiful hotel. Grand entrance with chandelier. Easy check in. Warm welcome from staff. Hotel staff Assisted with every request and made the holiday pleasant. Room had beautiful river and city views. Was actually better than the pictures online. Breakfast location: High ceilings and full windows overlooking the city and river. Spacious. Great selection of different cuisines. Highly recommended. Will definitely visit again."

"Staff were very good and helped me arrange private vehicle to Songhua resort.
Advertised as non-smoking but room still smelled of cigarettes. Ashtray in room. This was the most negative part of the stay.
Shower has great water pressure but the drain was very slow so you had to be careful water did not overflow outside of the shower.
We don’t stay long enough to confirm if the location was a good one but there were restaurants open during the day close by on the same street.
If you’re a smoker, then you may like the hotel more than we did."

"Hotel is rather near to the Jilin train station. Exit via the west entrance. It is a 5-8mins walk away. However, for families with baggage, a Didi/taxi ride is just 6-7 yuan away. Rooms are modern. Lots of eateries nearby. Also found out there were plenty of malls selling specialist winter gear nearby. Huilong shopping mall level 3/4 for the jackets. Da Fu Hao mall a short 3-4 mins walk from there for the winter shoes. Another mall for the skiing attire. Can consider getting your winter stuff here before going to your onwards winter holiday at Changbaishan or Haerbin."

"We have a warm welcome from the hotel staff (especially from Eve) , they were great observers and offering us drinks, masks, eye masks… when we raise an issue they are able to share us solutions almost immediately!
Breakfast variety was great, covering from western to local.
Room size were big and the amenities was the best among all the hotels we have stayed in China.
Will definitely come back again!"

"Amazing hotel! Very clean, really nice and cozy rooms (a bit too warm though) and friendly staff. Breakfast was also really good. The location of the hotel is very nice too, it’s right next to the beautiful Beishan park."

Everything was done by the team, restaurant bookings, gear rental, ski pass bookings! We are extremely grateful towards them
Highly recommend this villa if you’re coming for a ski / snowboard trip.

Hotel staff were very helpful. We had a staff member allocated to us for any questions. We are non-chinese speaking travellers and we communicated with the staff through WeChat which was very efficient with the auto translate function. We had RAIN who was responsive and helped us with a lot of questions. RAIN also provided great dinner recommendations as well as arranging transportation
Location is great, right next to the ski lifts and food hall
The Onsen (Soup) included in the package has amazing facilities. Inside the onsen thouguh the soup temperature did not feel hot enough
The food hall at the ski resort was very good as well, a great variety and value

Via text messages in WeChat (I can read and write in Chinese), I asked the inn owner how to get to her inn prior to arriving. Her replies were prompt. So, for non-locals, as long as you can access WeChat using your foreign phone number and can produce text in Chinese, communication would be fine.
Apparently there is a local bus that goes to the inn from Jilin train station but on the day of my arrival, the bus wasn’t in service. The inn owner arranged a car to pick me up instead.
There is a variety of food that can be ordered at the inn. I slept very well on the simple floor bed. Most importantly, the inn provide excellent service in ferrying the guests to and from the rime spots starting from early in the morning sunrise. The rime I saw on my visit was pretty.
There were many guests during my stay. I highly recommend this inn if you come to Wusong island for the rime!

MM28puvn72****朋友推薦的酒店。非常好。是我喜歡的風格。酒店乾淨整潔。佈置也很温馨。備品非常齊全。基本上生活用品。都有。來了之後什麼也不需要準備，衹要安心入住就可以。酒店還有自助洗衣房設施，但是我沒有用。酒店門前的河流都已結冰，還有很多人在上面走。下去溜達了一會兒，在冰面上走的感覺很好。酒店的工作人員服務都很熱情，特別是前台的劉小嬌，接待熱情，每次路過都會打招呼，還貼心的幫我們升級了房型。很感謝她。下次來住，還找她，好評，好評，好評。推薦！！！

SStevey_FlI read extensive reviews before I booked this hotel a few months ago, and my experience staying 3 nights here did support those excellent reviews.
The services were superior and the staff very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was good and packed with sufficient proteins and nutrients to prepare for a full half day skiing. You can rent ski equipments ( even clothing) right at the basement conveniently after you are done eating. Ski passes and ski classes can be purchased right there, with the channel discount prices, so you avoid the hassle of doing these things at the Ski Service Center.
There is a Tesla Model Y always ready to take you from hotel basement to the ski slopes (the ski-in and ski-out access was closed during my stay there but in most cases you could do it) and take you back to hotel whenever you call them a few minutes ahead of time). The hotel itself is located within walking distance to the ski lifts, so even without the transportation assistance, it is manageable by putting on ski boots and just walk back and forth with your skis.
The room I booked has a bedroom with 2 twin beds and a living room with TV and dining table and a kitchen sink and stove ( but no utensils yet so don’t expect to cook meals there). Bottle waters and snacks were replenished daily for free.
Besides its own dinning facilities and a small grocery store on the basement, there are plenty of options to eat and shop on the Main Street just down the road from the hotel. Overall, the New Story is a happy story and I look forward to returning in a year or two.
(My advice for those who can afford flexible schedules, try to come here in slow season like now outside the Xmas and Chinese New Year windows, the snow is still quite good yet the crowds are not existent and you can get really good deals in staying, though the lift ticket is still not cheap, 430 RMB a or some $60-65 a day. Much more in busy season).

HHany MI've chose the right place to stay! Everything was beyond my expectation, the room are clean, the blanket are cozy & warm. Need to bought your own towel. Eventho there's language barrier it still easy to communicate as we do communicate thru translator, some guest that can speak english do help me with translation too & everyone in Xie's family are so kind, warm & very helpful making sure my trip to wusong rime island pleasant & smooth as i only have 1 day in Jilin. They also help arrange pickup & dropoff transportation for me from Jilin railway station to the inn vice versa. At night their younger brother send & pick us to wusong island scenic spot for free, the entrance ticket is 30yuan. The next morning the boss brought all of the guest to watch sunrise & the smog rime for free at his secret place. He took a very good photo of each of us & send it to us, love all the photo the boss took, its look very professional. I booked room without breakfast but the boss gave me breakfast for free, so kind of him. You also can try & take picture with traditional chinese northeast clothes, they have variety style. It was a very nice experience & i glad i stayed at this inn.
