I never leave reviews but this little hotel is exceptional. It is conveniently located between key city landmarks, within walking distance of the imperial gate and the ancient old town — and a simple trip on the metro from the train station. Above all, the hotel is exceedingly peaceful. The rooms are designed largely in natural wood and soft, pale colors, with big windows letting in plenty of light. Mine looked out into a small courtyard, which echoed with the soothing sound of flowing water from what I assumed was a fountain underneath. A small window-side table with a lovely tea-set made for a perfect place to read and write; I would think this hotel would make a wonderful retreat for a writer, or someone simply hoping to get away, think, and sleep soundly. The staff were very kind and helpful and even brought breakfast to my room in the morning. I was sad to leave and would have stayed for longer if I did not have commitments elsewhere. 

i saw many positive reviews and was excited to see if it was reality... Simply put, its worth visiting Luoyang just to stay at May Fourth Youth Hostel. The level of cleanliness, amicability, overall positive yet low-key ambience should be the standard across the country. From the music choice in the lobby to the staff who run it, It's clear it has been designed and is run by people who really understand what it means to be a traveller and what makes a good hotel. The rooms are spacious (sometimes hostels can feel claustophobic - but not here), with beds having more space than typical, good quality pillow and duvets. Suited for both travellers from the east and west, there are seated and squat toilets, with a large array of showers. The washing machine is great (if they had a couple of good Dryers too that would be amazing), as well as the communal rooms with vending machines, pool table, and seating area (including the lovely quiet library space) The location is decent too, a spacious cultural park is nearby with the hostel itself tucked away from the main street, creating convinience but not crowds. The price is perfect! ideal for young people, students and solo travellers visiting on a budget. My friend decided to stay here two more days just because of the comfort and facilities. As both a foreigner and a woman, i felt safe and welcome here so i reccommend friends from abroad to come check this place out. Possibly the best youth hostel i've had the pleasure of staying in oh also the little cat is so cute !

The service is outstanding , offering endless drinks , snacks , fruits and daily gifts . The dumplings and pear tea was very good . The porter does not want tips and very polite . Breakfast room is very nice and good spread . Every morning they asked about your room , any issue . I complained the bed is too soft and they turned the mattress . They also gave my dryer a free slot to park in front of hotel . They gave me a clothes hanger to hang my clothes as I washed some clothes , very observant staff . Only complaint is no door at toilets , bed is too soft . 5km to old town is accessible by taxi .

We had a very pleasant 4 night stay at the Banshan Siji Hotel in Luoyang. The resort is beautiful and secluded, away from all of the hustle and bustle of downtown Luoyang while remaining accessible. The location is very convenient to the high speed rail station, Longmen Grottoes, Guang Lin Temple and Peony Museum. It’s a bit further away to get to White Horse Temple, Lintang Gate and Luoyi Ancient City. However, the hotel offers a very convenient and comfortable private shuttle for train/airport transfer and a daily trips to or from town. Above all, I have to commend the team at this hotel for their excellent service and extremely friendly attitude. Everyone went out of their way to offer assistance for any of our needs and always with a smile. A huge bonus - they offered a complementary same-day laundry service which we used several times during our stay taking care of a major hassle on extended travels. From the reception, front desk, porters, drivers and housekeepers, we received top notch service rivalling hotels we’ve stayed at worldwide. The breakfast also deserves special mention. The selection was not as extensive as buffets at some major hotels but the quality was excellent and we found it to be more than enough to start each day before sightseeing. In addition to a small self serve area, you can order large bowls soup or noodles and they also provide a beautiful tray of delicacies. We very much enjoyed each day’s breakfast. Finally, the room we stayed in, with a private hot spring tub and private patio was spacious, clean, modern and beautiful. We enjoyed use the tub after full days of sightseeing to ease aching muscles and the bed was very comfortable. On our final night, we did experience a problem with a light switch not turn lights but the staff were quick to provide us another room so we could get to sleep. Another great example of their dedication to quality service. Overall, I was very pleased to have discovered this beautiful gem in Luoyang and it made our visit to this wonderful city that much more special and memorable.

Pros: close to the few attractions in luoyang. Friendly staff. Cons: - No lift so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. - We stayed for two nights but the hotel staff did not replenish the toiletries, change the towels and tidy up the room.

We booked this hotel for 2 nights because it is new and next to the Luoshenfu performance next door. Excellent hotel. So beautiful and spacious rooms with separate bathroom and toilet. Way beyond our expectations. Nice bath tub, shower room, projector TV, coffee machine with complimentary cookies and fruits and complimentary drinks in mini-bar. Robot delivering bottled water when requested. Absolutely love the hotel and wish we stayed longer. We will book this hotel again if we visit Luoyang. Chinese Restaurant had tremendous value. Delicious 9 course dinner including steam fish and lobster, taste really good. We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant on both nights. The first night we were thoroughly impressed with the private dining room with ensuite toilet. Breakfast with good international selection of Chinese and Western options. Definitely the best hotel of our 2 weeks stay in China. Now we have a great impression of Luoyang because of the hotel. Only feedback is that it will be good if the toilet and bathroom lights can be separate so that at night when sleeping, guests can just switch on the toilet light and leave the rest of the room dark. Current dim light switch leaves bathroom still quite bright and glaring when sleeping. Other than this minor point, this hotel really wonderful and definitely a great hotel to stay in Luoyang!

The hotel is located right inside the attraction, making it very convenient for sightseeing. After booking, the hotel staff will contact you via WeChat to arrange pick-up. I didn’t have to worry about anything during my stay because the staff took care of everything. Highly recommend!

這次的酒店體驗簡直絕了，必須給五星好評！ 酒店竟然在古城牆上面，窗外的景色狠狠拿捏住我，寬敞明亮，暖色調燈光讓人瞬間放鬆。前台辦理入住速度超快，工作人員不僅熱情專業，還貼心介紹周邊好玩的地方和酒店特色服務。 房間更是驚艷！佈置温馨，採光通風極佳。床品柔軟舒適，就像睡在雲朵裏，晚上我直接一覺到天亮。衞生間乾濕分離，智能馬桶、品牌洗浴用品一應俱全，連毛巾浴巾都柔軟蓬鬆。 周邊交通便利，步行幾分鐘就能到地鐵站和公交站，打車也很方便。旁邊就有，應天門、洛邑古城、十字街景區，逛街，遊玩，吃飯超級便捷。 這次入住體驗太棒了，下次出行還選這家！
