"Stayed at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Kawaramachi Jokyoji from 20-24 Dec. This was my 2nd stay there in 2 consecutive months, despite there being hundreds of hotels in Kyoto.  Location:  the hotel is located in the city center with Nishiki Market and Teramachi indoor shopping street located very closeby. Kawaramachi is also a big commercial street lined with plethora of shops and malls.  Train stations within walking distance.  Hotel Facilities and Amenities:  this is a very beautiful hotel next to a temple (and small cemetery). The rooms are exemplary clean and quite spacious for Japan’s standard. Many facilities such as a public onsen, on-site restaurant, vending machine, ice machine, etc. No gym, which is not a big deal at all if you are in Kyoto for a short tourist visit.  You will be doing a lot of walking anyway if you choose to.   I only visited the on-site restaurant for dinner once. The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. Service staff was accommodating (I had to use a wheelchair at the time); however, service was lackluster otherwise.   Hotel staff service:  cannot praise the service by the hotel staff enough. This time around, I had injured my foot and couldn’t walk for 2 days. I was touched by the staff’s incredible kindness - they went out of their way to really help me out. Overall:  if you want city center location with easy access to modern shops and an array of restaurants within walking distance, big and super clean room, and great hospitality,  I’d highly recommend this hotel."

Personel, check-in saatimizi beklerken bagajlarımızla ilgili yardımcı oluyor, yağmurlu bir günde şemsiye teklif ettiler, olanaklar sağlam. Odamızın ayrı bir tuvaleti ve banyosu olması hoşumuza gitti. Genel olarak, bu oteli seviyoruz ve fırsatımız olduğunda kesinlikle tekrar buraya geliriz! 💕"

"A little gem of a hotel right in the middle of Kyoto! Location could not be better. The hotel itself is ”Japan sized” (rooms are small) but the space is so cleverly used I spent more time marvelling at the efficiency in design than worrying about the lack of space. Service similarly was very efficient, what was provided was what was needed and done to a high standard. Rooms were not cleaned every day but nice fresh towels were provided every morning. There was no laundry service but there were excellent coin operated laundry machines. Would certainly stay here the next time I return to Kyoto!"

"Although we arrived late at the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the onset is open 24 hours, offering clear and warm hot baths. The relaxing atmosphere, with massage chairs to help ease the stress from a long flight, made us feel comforted. Its convenient location within walking distance is a great plus; I highly recommend it."

"Çok keyifli bir konaklama, paranızın karşılığını fazlasıyla alıyorsunuz, ferah bir oda, çeşitli kahvaltı seçenekleri, süpermarket ve restoranların hemen karşısında olması ve ana cadde alışveriş bölgesine sadece 15-20 dakika yürüme mesafesinde olması sayesinde mükemmel bir konum. Çok yardımsever ve güler yüzlü personel, şiddetle tavsiye ederim ve kesinlikle bir dahaki sefere tekrar geleceğim."

"I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, just outside Kyōto Station at a walking distance to many restaurants. It’s also a perfect base to start exploring the east side of Kyoto just by walking from the hotel. The room was cozy, super clean and more spacious than expected. The staff was really helpful and always with a warming smile on the face. The breakfast buffet offered a good mix of western and Japanese style food, maybe not super various but really high quality. I’ll definitely choose the hotel again for my next trip in Kyoto!"
