Very clean room, fast elevators, tasty breakfast buffet and fine dine restaurant, with water spa + sauna, steam room, cold plunge. Hospitable and friendly staff. Great location. Had an amazing stay and will definitely come back.

It was my first time at this hotel and I had a good experience overall. Got upgraded to a much bigger room with a small living area and it was on one of the high floors, far away from the noise in Edsa and Ortigas. 😊 This hotel is also connected to Galleria mall so it’s very convenient to grab some food. The mall itself is old so there aren’t many options other than food. Overall, I recommend this place 👍🏻

Overall, I had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed the accommodation itself. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were great. I wanted to offer some constructive feedback on one area that could be improved: the food. While tasty, the variety of choices was quite limited. More significantly, the portion sizes were noticeably small. It reached a point where I, and I noticed other guests too, felt we had to be considerate and take less, just to ensure there was enough for everyone to get a bite. That's a feeling one hopes not to have while on vacation. My simple recommendation would be to provide more reasonable portions. I believe this small change would make a world of difference and go a long way in making your guests feel truly welcome and well-cared for. Thank you for listening.

The Studio 18 Residences in Pasig is a solid contender that mostly succeeds, offering excellent value for money, but falls just shy of a perfect 10 due to some small, yet noticeable, inconsistencies in the facility and experience. This is a dependable choice—a true 7 out of 10. The Good: Location and Service Are Top-Tier The biggest strength of Studio 18 is its location. It's tucked away inside San Antonio Village, which is a quiet and secure gated community, giving you peace of mind in a busy city. Yet, you're only a short, manageable walk away from major hubs like SM Megamall, Capitol Commons, and Shangri-La Plaza. If you rely on public transport, the proximity to the Shaw Boulevard MRT station is a huge plus. It’s an ideal base for shopping, working, or accessing neighboring Ortigas Center. The Staff deserves special mention. From the security guards to the front desk, everyone is genuinely friendly, accommodating, and quick to address requests. In a large metro, great service makes all the difference, and the team here is absolutely the highlight of the stay. The Rooms are surprisingly spacious, especially compared to newer, smaller budget studios. Many units come equipped with a small kitchenette (refrigerator, electric kettle, microwave in some), a comfortable desk for working, and good air conditioning. It’s a clean, safe, and functional space that is easy to call home for a few days or weeks. Areas for Improvement (Why It's a 7/10) The main drawback lies in the execution of the property's facilities and basic comforts, which occasionally feel a little dated or incomplete. * Facility Consistency: While some units might offer a full suite of amenities, the overall facilities rating tends to lag. Simple things like having a reliable, high-speed Wi-Fi connection that never drops, or ensuring basic bathroom items (like a foot rug or consistent soap refills) are always present, are areas where the residence can be hit or miss. * Accessibility Check: For those traveling with a lot of luggage, prepare to handle it yourself. There’s a noticeable lack of luggage ramps or a dedicated doorman to assist upon arrival, which can be a hassle, especially on check-in day. * Evening Access: While the gated community setting is safe, the convenience gates nearest popular dining spots reportedly close around 10 PM. This means if you are out late, you might have a longer walk back through the main gate, which can be inconvenient. Verdict: If your priorities are location, safety, and having a good, functional space with excellent staff—and you're willing to overlook some minor facility and logistics kinks—The Studio 18 Residences is a smart and affordable choice. It provides far better value than many nearby hotels. It’s not a luxury experience, but it’s a perfectly reliable home base in Pasig. Location: superb Cleanliness: great Value for money: great savings Service: almost perfect Food: bland (order calamares) Amenities: so so (solely for business travel not for leisure) Room: spacious, clean, smelled okay, aircon and TV was working fine, mini bar ref cover was loose and cannot be closed properly. Pillows, bed cover and Bed Sheets was superb and had a good night sleep. The room was not as advertised before booking. It clearly indicated that the business queen room offers wired internet access, however upon checking the room we did not find any. The front desk advice that all rooms does not have wired internet access and it does not work. The sole purpose of my booking was due to business purposes and the wired internet connection was the top priority. Though the wireless internet worked properly from 2am to 6am, intermittent connection is experienced after those hours. (Was using laptop 💻). After 3 days we decided to add another night then requested to have the room cleaned. We called the front desk attention multiple times and went outside to give the cleaners time but upon our return the room was still not cleaned so we needed to call the front desk attention again twice before someone came up to clean.

Richmonde Hotel Ortigas is a well-aged hotel that has clearly stood the test of time. I originally booked a Standard Room via Trip.com and decided to pay extra to upgrade to a Junior Suite upon arrival. It was absolutely worth it. One of the experienced staff recommended a room with an excellent view, and the scenery did not disappoint. The bed is very comfortable, perfect for a good night’s rest. The pillows, however, are on the softer side; I personally stacked three pillows to achieve better neck support. The air-conditioning is very powerful—almost freezing at times. I wasn’t entirely sure how to adjust it, and it seems to be set in Fahrenheit, but it works extremely well for those who enjoy a cold room. All the room lighting works as intended. The lights are on the warm, dim (orange) side, which seems intentionally designed to match the hotel’s classic and cozy ambience. It gives the room a calm, relaxing feel, especially at night. One small suggestion would be to provide additional plastic trash bags in the room and bathroom. I use food delivery services quite frequently during my stay and prefer to clear waste daily for cleanliness. The Junior Suite comes with a larger Smart TV, which was a pleasant surprise. You can easily log in to your own Netflix account—watching shows in bed felt like having a mini private cinema in the room. Extremely comfortable and enjoyable. The gym is a big plus—open from 6am to 9pm and almost always empty. It honestly felt like I had the entire gym to myself, which made workouts very pleasant. The swimming pool is currently closed for renovation, which is understandable. While the room is generally clean and comfortable, it could benefit from renovation and deeper cleaning. The wooden doors, curtains, desks, and drawers are showing their age and would greatly improve the overall experience if refreshed. That said, for a hotel that is over 25 years old, it has aged remarkably well. The location is excellent—one of the best aspects of this hotel. There are plenty of food and convenience options nearby, including 7-Eleven, Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks, Pancake House, and more. SM Megamall is just a short walk away, making shopping, dining, and commuting extremely convenient. Most importantly, the service from the staff is outstanding. There are warm greetings everywhere you go, and the staff are consistently polite, professional, and helpful. Their hospitality truly enhances the overall stay and makes guests feel welcomed. I will be trying their breakfast buffet soon and will update my review afterward to share whether it exceeds expectations. Overall, Richmonde Hotel Ortigas offers great value, comfort, excellent service, and an unbeatable location. I would gladly recommend it to travelers who appreciate classic charm paired with genuine Filipino hospitality.

I have stayed in the Malayan Plaza many times before and the experiences WERE great, but in my recent stay, there are changes already. Maybe because the bldg was new before when I stayed. Bad smell as you walk along the alley of 10th floor where my room at. Also bad smell is diffusing in the basement parking. Food is no longer great and many this time. One thing hasn’t changed, the accommodating staff.

Although we had a little bit of issue with the check-in process (1. the admin couldn’t initially find our reservation; 2. we were told to present vaccination IDs though it wasn’t stated on the booking info that it’s a requirement. I had mine but my partner didn’t have hers.), Sir Kevin (host) was kind enough to thoroughly assist us throughout our stay. The unit had decent kitchenware which we used since we stayed for 2 nights. It just seemed that the place wasn’t completely cleaned before our stay as there were still some uncollected trash inside the bin, leftover butter in the fridge (probably from the previous guest). We also noticed that the linen and duvet had some stains. I just hope those were old stains and not from the previous guest because that would be really off. Other than that, the location was spot on. For the price we paid, it was totally a steal. I just hope the overall cleanliness of the unit would be improved.
