"Before confirming this hotel we checked with staff from Sandles Camellia if the rooms in Flora were air-conditioned which they said yes however rooms WITHOUT window only had aircon while those with window come with only FAN. We were trying hard to find the aircon controls but silly us took too long, more than 15mins, to report that there was no aircon resulted us in having to keep the room. Flora could have admitted their misinformation n changed the room inspite of us taking a little longer to report it. If they were gracious enough to change the room for us this feedback would have been so very different. However I must say that the location is marvellous since the entrance of the hotel is right at the Dalat night market! So convenient!"

"Brand new hotel which is not finished as yet April 2025. No pool or bar ready for use. The hotel rooms are well appointed except for the usual Asian design issues. Shower door opens inward so you have to squeeze into the corner to be able to shut it. Breakfast buffet was very good with a huge range of food available."

"처음 이 호텔을 예약할 때는 리뷰가 하나도 없어서 솔직히 좀 망설였습니다. ‘왜 리뷰가 없지? 괜찮은 곳 맞을까?’라는 걱정도 들었고요. 그런데 직접 와보니, 그런 고민이 무색할 정도로 너무나도 만족스러운 숙박이었습니다. 오히려 이렇게 좋은 곳에 리뷰가 없다는 게 정말 아쉽고, 더 많은 사람들이 알았으면 하는 마음에 이렇게 길게 후기를 남깁니다. 저는 총 4일 동안 숙박했는데, 무엇보다 이 호텔의 가장 큰 장점은 사장님의 따뜻한 친절함이라고 생각해요. 처음 체크인할 때부터 너무 반갑게 맞아주시고, 매일 아침마다 “불편한 건 없냐”, “필요한 거 있으면 언제든 말하라”고 챙겨주시는 모습에 진짜 ‘이게 바로 정(情)이구나’ 싶었습니다. 그냥 형처럼, 이웃처럼 너무 자연스럽고 친근하게 대해주시니 낯선 여행지에서 마음이 참 편해졌어요. 호텔 내에서 오토바이도 대여했는데, 그때도 정말 꼼꼼하게 차량 상태를 확인해주시고, 설명도 아주 자세히 해주셨어요. 단순히 대여만 하는 게 아니라, 정말 안전하게 탈 수 있도록 신경 써주시는 모습에 진심이 느껴졌습니다. 덕분에 여행 동안 편하게 오토바이 타고 여기저기 다닐 수 있었고요. 방도 깔끔하고 청결했으며, 필요한 기본적인 것들은 모두 잘 갖춰져 있었습니다. 위치도 여행 다니기 딱 좋았고, 조용해서 쉬기도 좋았어요. 정리하자면, ‘리뷰가 없어서 고민 중이시라면 걱정하지 않으셔도 됩니다’. 오히려 아직 사람들이 많이 모르는 보석 같은 곳이라는 생각이 들어요. 저는 이곳에서 너무 좋은 추억을 만들었고, 다음에 또 이 지역을 방문하게 된다면 꼭 다시 머물고 싶습니다. 사장님, 다시 한번 감사드려요. 덕분에 정말 편안하고 즐거운 시간 보냈습니다 :)"

"Clean and satisfactory amenities. The room has only one air conditioner, which requires extended use to keep the entire space cool. The shower is located right at the entrance of the bathroom, causing the floor to get wet after use, which may inconvenience others."

"English Language - 5/10 stars. Compare to Ho Chi Minh City hotel staffs, Sandals Camellia’s proficiency is basic but still acceptable and good with me. Because if you travel to the other shops around the hotel buying stuffs or having a meal it will be even worse! Only a few shop owners can converse in English and many aren’t patient in communicating though they are still friendly and approachable. Price - 10/10 stars. Dalat City Hotels seems very much competitive against hotels at Ho Chi Minh City. For the price paid, the service, amenities and breakfast compared I like it the best and very much better! If you’re not into Vietnam shopping, you should visit Dalat instead! For me I’m a nature and scenery lover! Dalat highly recommended over Ho Chi Minh City! Service - 6/10 stars, basic taxi calling service is there. But unlike Ho Chi Minh City hotels, there’s no Hotel Tour Service. Most of the staffs aren’t also very familiar with all the places of visit either, but they are all very approachable friendly and helpful, and try their best to google information for you for instance the address. If you visit Dalat, you’ve to ownself conduct homework at home before traveling there on what places of interests to visit. Also google doesn’t tells every single places of interest in Dalat. You need to ownself travel to the tour office to book a local taxi driver, whom then has the knowledge of their own city, he’ll will guide and show you and recommend you places around Dalat. But prepare to learn some Vietnamese as many tour drivers couldn’t communicate in English but fret not, as google translate is your friend and everyone there has a smart phone. The Dalat people are mostly jovial, approachable and friendly. Breakfast/Food - 10/10 stars, Excellent I like it! I’m a buffet and Pho lover. For the price paid I’m extremely satisfied! Bed - 9/10 stars, didn’t gave it a perfect 10 score rating as I’m a person who prefers thick and hard pillows. Aircon - 7/10 stars. Acceptable. The Aircon is working good and cool enough. Toilet - 7/10 stars excellent! There’s warm water readily available, and ample showering lotion and shampoo, and other basic toiletries. The water from the handheld shower head is good and nice not weak flowing. However the missing 3 stars is the likelihood of a very wet bathroom floor. Basically it’s a Walk-in Shower design however it’s build as Curbless. The benefits of having Curbless is to benefits elderly and senior tourists who require mobility aids such as wheelchair the ease of accessing the showering area, and no risk of playful kids running and tripping over the Curbed, therefore Curbless is safer and better. Problem is the slope of the floor don’t seems right… the floor of the shower isn’t lower than the rest of the bathroom therefore water isn’t easily contained within the showering area and kept spilling to the rest of the bathroom floor, making a very messy toilet, unless you take special care to use a less strong spray and ensure you don’t accidentally spray outwards to prevent mini ponding to the rest of the bathroom floor. Also as mentioned earlier the Shower Head has nice strong spray, the drainage floor trap can be a little floody as water isn’t drained out fast enough… Sound Proofing - No comments….. 3/10 stars. Unfortunately I’ve encountered very noisy neighbours during my stay, who slam their doors as they enter and exit their rooms even late at night. Also since the hotel is situated near a busy road, you can hear lots of horning and motorbikes speeding by even at night. Other amenities - no reviews for mini bar or laundry service as I didn’t use them. Overall rating - 7/10 stars highly recommended!"

"The hotel has a great atmosphere, and the rooms are spacious. However, staying on the ground floor was far from relaxing. The noise from the room above was unbearable because the ceilings are very thin and not soundproof. I could hear every movement they made. I couldn’t sleep until almost 1 a.m., and then at 6 a.m., they woke up and started making noise again. If you’re assigned a ground-floor room and there are guests staying above you, I highly recommend requesting a room change immediately. I couldn’t rest at all during my stay."

"Dalat Palace Heritage Hotel It’s true that the last time we stayed at the Dalat Heritage Hotel was years back. It had a different name then too, when it was, we believe, under a different management. The place was beautiful, with vanished wooden floors, beds with canopies and bath tubs on steady golden legs. Golden taps and fresh looking bathroom tiles. Most importantly, it was clean, the cushioned chairs felt firmed, the rooms & bathrooms brightly lit. It was an equivalent if not better than the Raffles in Spore. We decided in our latest trip to stay at the now Dalat Heritage Hotel for two nights, 23 & 24 July 2025 . We learnt that it had changed hands and while we expected it to have aged, we thought most hotel managements, would have done some upgrade, some renovation some replacements of essentials. Sad to say, our stay was a tremendous let down. I’m trying not to use the adjectives “traumatising experience” and will not offer photos, so that the hotel has an opportunity to spruce it up and bring it to its former glory. The property has too much potential & history to be abandoned by visitors to Dalat. We stepped into a an old, tired looking lobby. Waited a long time to register and was told to expect welcoming drinks which never came. We girls had to use the “ladies. ” another disappointment. It was old, the flush was a pull up lever which almost didn’t work. The taps were tarnished. We finally got into our rooms. The floors were scratched, not quite the varnish, but we thought, it’s ok, a little authenticity, somethings must age. The beds still had its canopy, but the linens looked worn, tired. The little table with its two cushion chairs were well placed, but the cushions were totally worn, we could feel the base of the seat. There was a dressing table, thoughtful… but then there was no light for any lady, vain or otherwise, to apply her war paint. The room was badly lit, no extra lights at the dressing table or anywhere. The stand alone cupboards were large, but dark as well. I almost missed the black hair dryer kept in there, and we couldn’t find the room slippers and had to ask for help to locate it in the cupboards. The most disappointing was the bathroom. It was badly lit as well. The taps were all tarnished and without my glasses, I could see the bits of mould growing around the base of the tap. There was also limescale deposits. The floor tiles were badly worn, and I wish I could say it gave the bathroom a feel of the grandeur of yesterday years ageing gracefully, but hygiene is too important here to do so. The highlight was when we took a shower and stepped into the bathtub supported by “stone legs.” It wobbled continuously and made such a lot of noise that kept the user on edge. Then, we saw it all, the grouting of the wall tiles were caked with black moulds. To top it all, the bathroom had a stench of clogged pipes. It stayed with us like a faithful friend that won’t leave even if we tried pushing him out the door!! Did I mention the mosquitoes that bunked in with us? They bit my friend on the face & eye lid which swelled for 2 days. In the mornings, they sounded the wake up calls around our faces. If it had been possible, we would have cancelled the wake up calls. Breakfast was good. There was a good spread and the chefs behind the counters were friendly and all smiles. However much could be done to train the waitresses, who hid in corners. I asked one of them where the toaster for the bread was, she said there was none. I found it on the second morning. It was there all along. I guess her English needs polishing. Luckily, the porters were friendly and quite quick with umbrellas as it rained the whole 2 days we were there. On the whole, the hotel had a handful of local guests while we were there. I hope they chip in, in encouraging the hotel to relook at its offerings. We would really like to go back, but perhaps, only if someone wrote a review that says otherwise."

"Nice hotel, generally within 500 meter radius you can find everything, from cafes to pubs to the night market & shops. Breakfast is generous. Staff are very polite, helpful & friendly. It's a tourist hotel so be prepared for noises & loud conversations . Not the hotel fault, just the guests. We had a room next to the lift & we didn't get to sleep due to the noises from guests talking & laughing & hauling luggage. Also sounds from the streets till wee hours because the window is not soundproof. So do ask for room that's away from the lift area & not facing the street. Everything else is fine."
