"Très bon hostel, mieux que sur les photos. On a eu une chambres pour 4 personnes avec le toilette privatif, que la douche à partager. L’onsen est tres propre et contient deux bassin à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur. Deux lave-linges et deux sèche-linges sont à disposition avec le payement supplémentaire. Cuisine est grand et propre. L’hôtel est loin d’activité principale de Nikko (Nikkō Tōshō-gū et un hike avec des cascades). Le système de train même si vous prenez Nikko pass à Tokyo n’est pas parfait car ça oblige de prendre des billets supplémentaires pour un train express, car n’inclut pas dans le pass."

"Breakfast was better than dinner, but both were good. The onsen was good and clean, but I wish they provided towels at the onsen area and not having to bring our own. There were no face towels in the room. The room was old. The floor creaks. But the room was very clean. I did not smell smoke anywhere in the hotel, but it was a bit humid. The staff spoke English well. BONUS: In the game room, there is the old Pole Position car racing game and it works perfectly. Memories of my childhood. I loved this game. The hotel price was excellent for the value.it is beside a beautiful long pedestrian bridge."

"First off, do not trust Google Maps for directions. The directions take you up the alley behind the hotel. The hotel opens on the main street (Hwy. 119 is what Maps indicates). This is an absolutely great little hotel, well located, clean and everything about the hotel I noticed, well looked after. It has a small, functional onsen that I used. I was in their hostel section, a single bed, capsule style. A little tough for a creaky, bad knees, old person like me but a great stay. They have a small, affordable breakfast buffet (Oriental-style) for purchase that is decent with a variety of different dishes. And they have a machine that dispenses excellent, fresh coffees and other beverages. It is a 2-star hotel and I will give it a 5 star rating as a 2 star hotel. Very good little hotel."

"The location was quite good, although it is a bit far from the main U-Nikko Station. If you are looking for a peaceful and enjoyable stay, I highly recommend it. However, keep in mind that the distance may increase your travel time, so you should plan for an extra hour in your itinerary."

"All the staffs are professional, very service oriented and special mention to the room service is super super prompt! Room amenities are luxurious! Bed and blanket is so fluffy! Breakfast portion is huge and fresh. We were able to use the shuttle service for check in and out, only got a cab at the Nikko train station when we return late at around 7pm."

"A premium hotel & hotspring in kinugagawa onsen,this hotel also is famous all over japan, because of superb hotspring creation made by a big rock,very new & romantic interior design especially in the lobby,w/ an luxurios chandelier,the outside view is amazing,the famous fureai bridge in kinugawa & river is in the front ,very nice autumn view outside,the room is big,but don't have a telephone & dresser,the food is superb but if you want to drink alcohol,you need to reserve from the front desk during check-in.Intagramable view inside & outside,but don't go here by walking with baggage because of the high stairs in fureai bridge,there's a shuttle bus but you need to pay 300yen.Overall,you can feel the scenic views even you don't go outside,Thanks always Trip.com for very nice booking,more power & God bless always"

"The exterior of the hotel is pretty, but the interior of the hotel is dated and needs a bit of updating. There were parts of the hotel that were completely shut down (maybe there are saving up enough money to one day renovate). However the facilities and rooms are well maintained and the onsens are beautiful and peaceful. There are 2 main onsens, that are separated by men and women. Each day the onsens are switched, in the morning you will go to one, and in the evening before dinner you can experience the other onsen. Onsite there is a really nice restaurant and gift shop that featured local products at reasonable prices. There is a 24 hour coffee/tea station that is free to use. It's a short 10 minute walk from Kinugawa Onsen Station. When you arrive they provide you a yukata to wear while you are staying at the hotel. The rooms are spacious with options for a western bed or japanese style (sleeping on the floor). We opted for the western bed to be higher off the ground as we thought it would be colder to sleep on the ground. Although the rooms are very well heated and was a bit too warm, that we needed to open the window to cool the room down. The rooms have nice views of the countryside. They provide a pitcher of ice water in the room and you can go to the front desk to refill with ice if more is needed. The bathroom is quite large and has both a shower and toilet in a separate room of the bathroom; although we mostly bathed in the onsen. There is a 7-eleven nearby that was open 24 hours, but otherwise there isn't much else around the hotel. Also the town of Kinugawa Onsen closes quite early, around 8pm it's quite deserted. We were there at the end of November 2024, and it seemed that the hotel was mostly unoccupied, so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was a very nice one night stay."

"Location:- The hotel is walking distance from train station and although bus is irregular, it is manageable. There is a small (super friendly) convenient store & restaurants near the hotel. Hotel Food - expensive but top Japanese quality Hotel Service - Superb.. ***** definitely 5 stars. I misplaced my phone and despite its late (almost 10pm), they helped me to search, even outside of the hotel., and in the end found it blocked by (under) my open suite case (i was packing to check out next day).. very embarrassing for me 😅😅.. so I really grateful for their patience and going out all the way to help me 🙏🙏"
