"I stayed at Metro City Hotel Perth for three nights and had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent , very close to the Perth CBD, with bus stops just a short walk away, which made getting around the city really convenient. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, and housekeeping maintained the room well during my stay. For the price I paid, the hotel offered excellent value for money. The staff were also friendly and helpful whenever I needed assistance."

"Location is fantastic, room is slightly small but it’s clean. Washing machine and dryer are very helpful. Price is very competitive. Water pressure and heater is good. I would hope that they would change the bedsheets and not just tidy the bed. Besides that, very helpful customer support."

"I came a bit earlier for checkin and was immediately able to check in hassle free with Maartje she was friendly and professional. I have tried breakfast at Monty’s which was ok and had a lot more options to choose from so the price isn’t so bad. I also had dinner with family at Mas Vino bit disappointed as the meals we orders were a bit bland and small in portions. I didn’t think the 200 gram steak would be small. The fish was bland and but the chicken tasted better. I wasn’t able to try the other facilities of the hotel but looking at the pool was inviting. The lobby was spacious and housekeeping did a wonderful job making up the room."

"Very big and comfortable room. Only thing is that the carpark is almost 500m away and if you don't want to walk, will need to pay $75 for valet parking. Otherwise, highly recommended."

"Close to CBD, and easy to take neighboring free buses. The building is a little of age. People are nice both in the front desk and service sector. One thing I do not understand is that the genitor knocked my door every morning before 9, just to ensure if I need my room clean.  The food was good at the lobby restaurant. I had salmon dish."

"I had a wonderful stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Northbridge. The room was spacious, spotless, and came with a very comfortable bed that made for a great night’s sleep. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the CBD, within a short walk (less than 5 minutes) to Yagan Square and Perth Train Station. It’s also surrounded by plenty of restaurants, cafes, and amenities, including a 24-hour Chinese restaurant that serves really good food. The hotel itself feels modern and welcoming, with nice in-room touches like a good-sized TV for relaxing after a day out. Overall, it’s a fantastic choice if you want convenience, comfort, and easy access to Perth’s iconic landmarks. Highly recommend!"

"Decent hotel although out of the cbd. 910 bus into the cbd stops outside while walking another block also allows you on the 32 bus into the cbd. Water plumbing is a bit loud Paying the extra for a City view room is well worth it otherwise you could end up with a room that faces the main road."

"The complimentary airport shuttle pick-up and drop-off is a great advantage. The hotel is basic but clean. There are several food options within walking distance. The only thing to note is to ensure you check-out at 11 am as they charge $40 for any extension beyond 11!"

"Quest is a nice and clean service apt with good location however, I encountered an extremely unpleasant experience on the last day when I checked out. I had booked via Trip and had fully prepaid for the stay but hotel staff, Pablo, informed me curtly that the stay has not been paid. He threatened that the cost will be deducted against my security deposit if the hotel does not receive the payment. This is an issue between Trip and the hotel but I am being harassed for the supposed non-payment. Pablo was extremely rude and condescending and marred the whole service experience."

Ppetrina yeoWe stayed as a family with a 2year old. I wouldn't consider this a 5 star, perhaps more of a 4 star. When we arrived late at night, tired from a long drive, there was no bell boy to assist us with luggage direct to room, and esp with a kid in tow it was difficult. However one of our bags broke and the staff did help us get a bag from their store. Also no toothbrush was provided upon check in day and we found out next day only that it has to be requested, seriously, this is a very basic necessity to have at least for 1st day. The decor was intended to be classy but we found it a tad bit dark. The worst part was the bed was way too soft and sunk in, I had a backache the next days. :( On a positive note the bath tub was huge, toilet was spacious with 2 sinks! My kid enjoyed the bath tub. Also they did prepare the cot in the room when we arrived and I was very pleased. The next day I asked for high chair and it was timely placed at our room when we got back. Overall the staff were responsive. Also the breakfast was Ala carte, not buffet, but it was nicely cooked - however they did not offer a kids menu. The location is close to cbd shopping but do take note parking at hay street has day charges/hourly charges which you should factor to the value of your stay. Most shops closes early around 5pm by the time we got back from our day trips. Overall this hotel was more for couples or business stay and not so kid/family friendl, but that's just my opinion!

RRegina Suzanty HotmauliHad a wonderful stay at this property. The location is in the city center, convinient for travel, surrounded by pedestrian street and the city hall. The decor was amazed, the fasiliticies were execellent. Room comfortable, food and drink for breakfast many varieties with so beautiful restoran decor. It is a good choice for Perth travel. But, we must call housekeeping just to ask for water and handuk, everyday for 4 days during we stay!!!... I dont know why, because i set stay for 4 adult when booked. Yess, sure, we will back and stay here again when we travel to Perth.

CCharm-Unfortunately not a fan. Booked holiday inn after a great stay at Shanghai but this rendition was disappointing. Positives: location is convenient and is near the shopping streets, food, cafes and Perth station if you’re taking the train from the airport. Three lifts which was pretty good, never had to wait long. Shampoo / body gel / cream smelt decent Negatives: toothbrush provided only upon request, only two bottles of water given for the stay - the rest had to be obtained from the water cooler at reception, room carpet felt icky and no bedroom slippers were provided, room lighting was insufficient. Dated power points (no usb) Booked a king bed room but was given two double beds. I didn’t like it but didn’t wanna make a fuss. Room had zero views and was facing another hotel (?!), machines and I didn’t feel safe opening the curtains. NOISE - could hear the next door opening and closing the cupboard, bathing, talking etc Even within the room, there was ALOT of noise. From the aircon, fridge etc which gives one scares esp when trying to sleep, it sounds like someone else is in the room. Staff were relatively friendly but seems to be understaffed where reception only has one staff manning the counter. Overall; I paid a higher price point than surrounding brand name hotels expecting similarly wonderful rooms / service as holiday inn Shanghai but I half regretted staying here as soon as I got to the room. Previously stayed at doubletree Hilton which had a better room at a lower price point though location wise, holiday inn is better.

The view from our room was unblocked and the hotel within a short walking distance to the main shopping belt In Perth. It is also relatively near to the lively botonical garden. The main downside for us was the bed was soft.

MMisafir Kullanıcıi arrived around 10am. the staff was considerate to allow us for eraly check in. indeed we really need it after overnight flight. my son was comfortable staying in this hotel. walkable to murray street for grocery shopping, perth library and perth main train station. for muslims there are near to halal eateries like karache by sani , indonesian resto. strategic location and room size was good for 4 of us (2adults , 1toddler and 1 kid aged 6y). overall wonderful stay here

MMisafir KullanıcıThe location was wonderful — very quiet and close to the Swan Valley vineyards. The room itself was spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a good-sized bathroom. The kitchen had everything you’d expect, although it was quite small, so cooking in the room isn’t very practical. The main letdown was cleanliness. Rooms are only cleaned every six days, which we didn’t know before booking. You can exchange towels daily, but that’s about it. When we arrived, we asked for the floors to be done as they clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly — it was still below the standard of quality hotels. Although the carpets looked new, they weren’t clean- there were toenails and popcorn from previous guests on the carpet I contacted reception to request a proper clean, but was told that according to Sebel’s rules, cleaning only happens every six days. Had we known this beforehand, we probably wouldn’t have booked. The swimming pool looked nice, but during our stay it had a lot of bird and duck droppings, which made it unappealing. We used it once but didn’t feel it was clean enough to go back. There’s a golf course nearby for those interested, but the on-site café was a definite disappointment — overpriced and average at best. My husband ordered what was listed as a Scotch fillet steak, but even the waitress admitted it was actually minute steak. We asked for a refund since it was inedible (all fat), but were refused because “he ate it” — even though he only touched the fries and bread roll. So, essentially, it was an expensive chip sandwich. Overall, while the place looks appealing and the setting is beautiful, the experience didn’t justify the cost. Between the lack of proper cleaning, poor food, and high prices, we’re not sure we’d stay again.

TTeo E KLocation from Airport to Hotel very convenient by Train. Just a 5-7muns walk from Perth station mostly with sheltered walkways. Many eating shops nearby and shoppings streets. Hotel looks brand new as it was just renovated abt 4 months ago when I stayed in May 2025. Very happy with hotel experience during the 7 nights stay.

Location: The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient for getting around. It’s just 1.1 km from the central train station, and you can hop on free bus services like the Red CAT, Blue CAT, or Green CAT, with stops only 100m to 250m away—perfect for easy commuting. Behind the hotel lies the stunning Kings Park and Botanic Garden. If you don’t feel like walking the 300m to get there, the Blue CAT will drop you off effortlessly. The accessibility to public transport and nearby attractions is a huge plus. Cleanliness: While the exterior might look a bit dated, the interior is surprisingly spotless. I booked a room for two, but the bedding and pillows provided were enough for four, which was a nice touch. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained, and I was thoroughly satisfied with the cleanliness. Facilities: The private kitchen was a highlight—equipped with a rice cooker, pots, pans, a toaster, a fridge, and enough cutlery, plates, and utensils for four people. They even provide coffee, which I appreciated. However, there are a few downsides: the electric stove is small and outdated, making cooking a bit slow. Also, there’s no salt or basic seasonings provided, nor chopsticks, which might inconvenience Asian guests. The bathroom features a very clean bathtub, but it lacks shampoo and body wash, so you’ll need to bring your own. EElyn PeeThis was our very first trip to Perth. If you’re planning to take trains or buses both within and outside the CBD, I highly recommend getting a public transport card called the SmartRider. You can buy it at the Airport Train Station customer service counter, located right next to the ticket barrier. The card costs AUD $10 (non-refundable), plus any amount you wish to top up. Using a SmartRider gives you a 10% discount on every ride. After the discount: Travelling within 1 zone costs about $3.15 per ride. Travelling between 2 to 9 zones costs only $4.68 per ride. There’s also a daily cap of $10.40, no matter how many rides you take. Inside the CBD, there’s a Free Transit Zone (FTZ) where bus travel is free. This hotel is within the FTZ, with a bus stop just 2 minutes’ walk from the entrance—very convenient. You can tap on and off any bus from this stop at no charge as long as you travel within the FTZ. Many buses from here go straight to Elizabeth Quay Train Station and Bus Interchange, where you can easily transfer to other buses or trains. Perth’s public transport system is excellent, with buses arriving every 10 minutes or less. There’s also a free CAT bus service with four routes (Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow). No tapping is required on CAT buses. A Red CAT stop is just a 5-minute walk away, on the street directly behind the hotel. If you’re driving, the hotel has a car park (charges apply). We stayed here for 6 nights. While the location and transport convenience are excellent, I would like to sincerely share some areas for improvement: Lighting: The room lighting was very dim, making the space feel gloomy throughout our stay. Brighter lighting would make a big difference. Water Pressure: Both hot and cold shower water had very low pressure, making showers uncomfortable. Air Conditioning: The air-conditioning was weak. We stayed in winter, so it wasn’t a big issue, but in summer it could be problematic. Carpet Condition: The carpets in the rooms and lifts could use replacement. Lobby Appearance: While not critical, a refreshed lobby and lift lobby would greatly improve first impressions for arriving guests. These are my genuine, heartfelt suggestions in the hope they can help improve the comfort and experience for future guests.
