"I found the dinner and breakfast expensive. As the price is expensive than other hotels we expected more variety but it was lesser than where we usually go. So were quite disappointed as I dont eat sea food and paying 3000 for break fast and 5000 for dinner when you dont eat fish is quite expensive and alcohol was quite expensive too.  There was lots of activity to do so we enjoyed that as we reached the hotel before check in time"

"Love the private hot spring onsen! Will definitely go back again! Staff were nice and helpful too! When we checkout they offered a ride to the station! Saved us walking in the rain with heavy luggages. Location is good, only a few mins walk to the station and has a few restaurants nearby. If renting the ski or snowboard stuff, also a few mins walk to these local shops."

"I’m giving my honest opinion. This is my first unsatisfied review for a hotel room. I was very disappointed by the room for the price I paid. I paid more for this room than what I paid for luxury upscaled room near Tokyo Disney. The photos online were very deceiving. When I entered my room, it was gross, i cringed, and my toes curled. I didn’t want to put my belongings down. The carpet was old and disgusting. The pull out couch bed was gross. There were stains on the couch back rest and the mattress. The sheet for the mattress was too small it didn’t cover the stained mattress. The beds were hard and didn’t feel clean. The shower curtain had a bad odor. The room was very dated. Since this hotel is pretty secluded and other hotels were booked we had to make do. I’m glad we only stayed one night. On a better note, the staff were very friendly and service was great. Location for skiing was amazing, and the free shuttle bus was fabulous. Naeba Prince Hotel really need to do better with their rooms. I was looking forward to bringing my entire family of 14 to stay a few nights next year, but after seeing the rooms, I will not stay here again unless they renovate their rooms which are in dire need of upgrades."

"Room was spacious. But overall hotel is old and certain parts of it felt like stepping into North korea. But it was quaint and suited the old town vibes. Hotel provided free shuttle from echigo yuzawa station. Room only had Japanese tea cups and no spoons. Parts of the room had cobwebs and similarly at the onsen. They charged a 150 yen per person per day for onsen regardless if utilised or not. And this charge was not told to us through trip.com or during check in. Staff did not understand English at all. We had to use translator to communicate. The free dinner provided was nice for the first night then it became meh. And they strictly prohibited guests to bring own drinks to dinner as they had a drink menu. 350 yen + tax for a glass of coke. Staff were polite and nice."

"Hotel with hot spring and others facilities like swimming pool and gym room. Room are big enough for 3-4 persons. Location a bit far from town if with car no issue at all. Hotel do provide bus but time limited till 6pm. All staffs could not speak English so communication was an issue if you request something."

"The hotel is very clean and the room is spacious. The only two things that I dislike is the separate toilet and bath which is small plus no hook to hang clothes and need to climb a slope everytime you go in/out of the hotel."

"Hotel sits right next to Ichigo Yuzawa, super convenience to commute. Facilities are good. Ski rental is right in the hotel with a private transfer to ski resort."

"Not the most modern. But very cosy and warm, impeccable service and hospitality. Child play facilities inside the hotel (up to 6 or 7 years old). That's a bar for the adults too, open tab until the night. Private onsen is available for 1000jpy for 45 minutes, and is adjacent but separate to the public onsen that is available to hotel guests. Parking is just outside the hotel. Restaurants and snow gear rental is available down the road."

"The hotel is on the East side of the station which we hadn't stayed before. Its quieter then the West which was nice but still close to some restaurants and the main bus stops for ski resorts. Its about a 5 min walk from the station. We arrived and nobody was at reception and even dinging the bell we had to wait a while. It is a bit of a mess downstairs in reception with the owners clutter but that has nothing to do with your stay so not to worry. We did request a Japanese room if available but nothing was ever mentioned about that and we just got a western style twin. The owner didnt know much english so we didn't want to bother trying to explain. It was clean, neat and every day we got new towels, yukata, new tea, bed made etc. There is a dry room downstairs for your skis and boots and gear and everything was toasty and warm in the morning. You leave the key in the box when you leave each day and get it back from reception once you return, though if we went out for dinner again later or to the konbini we would just keep it on us. You have your own bathroom but they also have 1 Japanese Onsen and you can use it for private and lock the door. It was so nice to have private Onsen as we have rarely been able to have Onsen together in Japan as a couple. It is also a close walk to a Lawson so you don’t have to fight the other tourists for food at the 7 Eleven on the west side. Or you can go to Matsumoto KiYoshi at the station East side. The hotel was quiet when we were there. Perhaps there wasn't many guests or maybe they were just considerate and quiet people. I would stay here again for sure but would like to get a Japanese room next time."

"The place is very close to Gala Yuzawa station around 8mins walk. The place is great with attentive staff. There is an available shuttle service where you can call the hotel to fetch you. Downside is that there is no available restaurants nearby so you have to go to Echigo Yuzawa. You can avail the shuttle service. Would have been great if there’s supplementary breakfast. There’s a 300yen fee for bath."
