I’m a local staying here for post-surgery recovery, extended my stay two times. Reception is decent and helpful. The Japanese restaurant on ground floor is really good and so is the Chinese restaurant on the second floor. I’d say give it a try if you’re staying there, the price is average, totally not overpriced for being inside a hotel. The room soundproof is terrible, you’re out of luck if other guests staying in rooms surrounding you talk super loud or have loud kids. You can also clearly hear conversations outside the hallway. You can also hear the water pipe noises whenever people staying upstairs/downstairs shower. Not the most serene environment. Amenities are alright, the provided shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are a bit small so you’d constantly have to ask for refills for longer stays. The bath tub is bigger than usual ones so that’s a good thing but not a fan of the type of shower head they chose, and the tube is a bit short too but there’s an overhead if needed. I wouldn’t say the location is convenient for tourists as there is nothing surrounding the hotel but they do provide scheduled shuttle buses to get round town and to some hotspots. The walk to the nearest light rail station is around 12-18min (depending on your pace) on foot.

We booked theFamily Room, which was an excellent choice for us. The room was spacious and very clean, with plenty of room for all four of us to be comfortable. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and we all slept soundly in the quiet room. We also appreciated amenities like the separate bath and shower, mini-bar, and free Wi-Fi. RIO Hotel was an outstanding choice for our family trip to Macau. It provided great value, combining the comfort of a clean and roomy base with the ultimate convenience of an easily accessible central location. We highly recommend it to other families visiting the city and would certainly stay here again.

I thought I was in some old movie - amazing hotel with its own history. The design just blowed my mind. There are a lot of details of interior, which I wanted to record, I took like millions pictures. The room is small but I was happy to come back every evening, it’s quiet and so beautiful. There is everything you need in the room as well. I was invited to the nice roof bar for some complimentary drink there - so lovely. They also provide mini bar with some soft drinks and the bottle of wine every day! I took breakfast and I didn’t like it actually. They have 2 options - european and asian set meals. I tried only the european one 2 days and wasn’t satisfied. Also, there are no any vegetarian options :( that was kinda sad. Overall experience is much better than expected, I really like this hotel and the service provided there. Thank you!

It is a new and clean hotel. It is around 10min walking distance from Ruins of St Paul. Great location to visit main tourist attractions. The rooms is spacy and amenities are clean. The reception is welcoming and they soeak good English. There is no heating but you can get an electric heater fan from the reception. My room had windows that don’t open.
