"The room was so clean and completely renovated. The location was great. The reception helped find the visiting places. When you are booking the hotel via this APP, make sure the information is updated! For the room I booked it was written that the room has a lake view but unfortunately, when I got my room it had a building view! I contacted “customer service”, and they gave me some “coins” in the APP as compensation. I will choose this hotel again if I travel to Dali."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Spirited Silky Hotel. The location is excellent, right near the South Gate of Dali Old City. The building is exceptionally beautiful, full of atmosphere and traditional charm. The breakfast was delicious. The reception staff were very kind, helpful, and enthusiastic in solving any issues. "The hotel is really well situated, close to the Ancient Town. From the Dali's Railway Station, you can take the bus 8 (~1h & ¥3). Electric scooters were available for rental (¥60 a day for one person) which makes it very convenient to visit Dali and access the Three Pagodas. You can also leave your baggage after check-out. All in all, a very pleasant stay."

"My stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. Being only 10 minutes from the airport was incredibly convenient. The owner was so friendly and welcoming, which made me feel right at home. My room was not only beautiful and spotlessly clean, but it was also a smart room, which was a fantastic modern touch. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!"

"It's located in the Ancient city area. Although getting there with luggage is quite painful, the hotel always send staffs to help us (both pickup on arrival and send us on departure) so that's no problem. You better take a cap and drop at the intersection, follow hotel's suggestion, don't go there by walking with only AMap / Google map, it's not convenience that way. The place imitate Japanese style room (without Tatami Mat) so if you're into Japanese culture, that's a plus. Otherwise it's great atmosphere. I admitted that I didn't expect much at first. I could bear the old room, a bit dirty, a bit inconvenience or discomfort, since the price is Very cheap. BUT - Unexpectedly, everything is much better than expectation. I booked for only about 20$ a day, but getting like 40$ value. It's not the top tier service, but from the value point of view, you get MUCH MORE than it's seen. We asked staff about a good place to eat noodle, and he introduce the one in the map picture. IT WAS SO GOOD! Location 11/10 (it's INSIDE - so it just 3 min. walking to Center of Ancient Town) Service 10/10 (Without staff help it could be problematic for luggage) Facility 10/10 Cleanliness 9/10 (it's a little old, but no problem) Food - Null Value for money - 12/10 (20$ - for real????)"

"Very informative staff, they sent a message ensuring we are not lost because the hotel location is in the old town. The room was spacious as expected. The floor is kind of dusty. The bed was comfortable but not sure how to turn on the bed warmer. The toilet... didnt expect its glass covered with a curtain lol. The hot water flows fast. They have a water dispenser, which eases refilling water bottles. Only figured out they have a rooftop an hour before the checkout, the view from the top is worth appreciating."

"Cleanliness is pretty decent, but don’t expect the cleanliness of a 5* hotel. Bathroom shower walls are slightly moldy at the corners and edges, so if you’re a fussy traveler this may be a 3 or 4 rating. Depending on your requirements, this location can bea 5/5 or a 2/5. This is located far from Dukezong Ancient Town, and far from other restaurants. Scenery is great and quiet from the hustle and bustle , hence the potential 5/5 rating. But since it’s far from other places, food options and “shopping” are limited, hence the 2/5. The room we booked was quite far away from the lobby. It’s the furthest house located. Service is a 5/5. You’ll get full help with your butler carrying your luggage from your car arrival, all the way to your room, and from your room to the lobby when you checkout. Any issue? Just simply WeChat the group chat dedicated for your booking. You get free breakfast 2 choices. 1 porridge set with many side dishes. Or noodle soup. You get free afternoon tea with various choices (coconut latte was good) and a free ice cream cake. At night 8.30 onwards you get dessert soup which was great too. The afternoon tea and dessert soup can be delivered to your room. Not sure about breakfast, as we came out to the cafeteria to eat. Amenities are wonderful, 5/5. Don’t expect a swimming pool or gym here, but you’ll have activities for you to enjoy here without stepping out of the area. A small pool table near the lobby (albeit crapping conditions of the balls). Free sliced carrots provided to feed the farm animals (ducks, swans, goats, pony, donkey), but no feeding of carrots to the 3 doggies!! You also get to dress up in the traditional costume and get free photo shoot with 3 unedited photos for free (per room). If you want the edited photos, do expect to pay a sum (way more expensive than other market rates you can find outside) for it. The room has floor warmer and bed warmer which was great for the cold weather we experienced in end March. It was 0-10 degrees. The toilet was cold. The heating in toilet does not seem to work. So you have to brace the cold and take your shower. But the bed, floor and room was really warm. Hotel also have a restaurant which you can order food for lunch and dinner. But it’s a little on the pricey side. It would be better to ******* and order food delivery. But their restaurant food is surprisingly tasty. So if you don’t mind the price, can order from them. About 180 yuan for 1 meat and 1 vege dish. Overall experience was great. Love the service. If you want a chill time and not travel out to shopping areas, this is a great hotel for you to book. You get the enjoy the “pet farm” life and the nature."
