"I booked this location for a real “British Experience.” Although I don’t know if it was a real experience, it was a REAL experience. From the moment the car arrived, I was impressed and in love. It is a true country estate, surrounded by green rolling hills and ancient trees. The first view down the driveway was of a stunning estate with beautifully landscaped grounds. We arrived early and they were able to register us immediately. The only downside was the number of stairs to get to the room, but this was minimal. The interior was breathtaking, the outside was awe inspiring. We had originally planned on taking a day to go to London, but quickly decided to stay and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the estate. The food was wonderful but the breakfast hours were not as noted. On Saturday, we arrived at 10:30 for breakfast and the buffet was nearly empty, however the staff were kind enough to bring us the few things we needed. The staff were wonderful and added to the exceptional experience of our stay. I will definitely revisit this location in the future. It was a lovely experience."

"Everything perfect as always. Just two comments: firstly the bathrooms are way too small, and secondly, a hotel of this quality should not consider it necessary to charge extra for parking, though i admit that this does unfortunately seem to be becoming the norm these days. That said, all in all a lovely hotel."

"The staff were very professional and friendly, however, I paid extra for an upgrade room , with larger bed.The bed was a basic double.The bathroom was extremely small , not acceptable really .There was no adequate mirror in the bedroom either .This spoilt our stay ."

"I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Hampton by Hilton Gatwick. From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly, professional, and eager to help — check-in was fast and seamless. The room was spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet given how close the hotel is to the terminal. The bed was super comfortable, and I really appreciated the thoughtful touches like the powerful shower, great lighting, and plenty of charging points. The complimentary breakfast was excellent too — lots of choice, fresh food, and great coffee to start the day right before my flight. The location couldn’t be better — it’s directly connected to the North Terminal, making it perfect for early flights or late arrivals. Despite being an airport hotel, it felt calm and relaxing, which made all the difference. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Top-notch service, comfort, and convenience — Hampton by Hilton Gatwick truly sets the standard for airport hotels!"

"I was staying at the hotel due to an important business meeting the next day, unfortunately my sleep was broken at 2am with a fire alarm going off due to other hotel guests, I was expecting some kind of kind refund or a discount off my next stay as I have used this hotel to stay for business many times before but nothing was offered and the interruption in my sleep affected my business meeting the next day, very disappointed in the way this was handled."

Corridors all over, like a rabbit warren. Comfortable room and bed, stained carpet, bath was high for stepping into for showering and paintwork was chipped / grubby. Nice bar, restaurant and courtyard, didn't eat there although breakfast looked great and reasonable. Plenty of free parking.

Overall the hotel itself was fine. Clean room, disappointed in the restaurant. Both myself and wife ordered different pasta dishes. I chose carbonara, pasta overcooked and average. My wife chose the linguine with seafood. Way to much sauce and the pasta was overcooked and servings we are large.

We live fairly local but decided to stay here as my daughter & her friends prom was at the wine estate local to the hotel, we wanted to make our girls prom a little more special. Staff we’re very helpful friendly went above and beyond to make our stay perfect Cold water in fridge fans in the room and the weather has been hot. Food we ordered from the menu in our room was great & friends eat in the bar area which was also very good. I would recommend and would definitely stay here again.

I stayed in room 3 on the ground floor and I thought the experience as a whole was alright, gets the job done if that’s all you need. There were some things I thought were a bit strange however. The shower was the main thing, it was stuck on full power which was crazy fast. It also didn’t stay in place because it was so powerful and kept turning into the wall. When I had pointed it facing out, it would point to the window (which was in the shower) and begin to fill up the window sill. Additionally, the sliding door had broken and it was replaced with a flimsy shower curtain which Barry managed to cover the gap. The room was a little dark but other than that was fine. The bed was fine too. Dinner is room service or you can have it in the bar area if you’d like. There isn’t a restaurant however and the bar area isn’t incredibly suitable for a meal with a family, fine on my own though. The menu consisted of pub food and each item was between £11-15 for the majority. There is a pizza and alcohol deal for £15 which is what I had, which was fine. Breakfast was £11.75 I think and was a buffet in one of the service rooms and was pretty good. Overall I think my experience was pretty poor but the room was very clean and the staff were very helpful and polite

The hotel is a little dated and worn, so I had some trepidation when I first arrived. However, my room was very clean and comfortable. All the usual amenities. Breakfast was available but I didn’t take it. The only thing I would say is that the rooms are very close together And the doors are quite loud. I was fortunate in that I did not have noisy neighbours but I would imagine if you had people coming and going a lot it would be very irritating.

Lovely hotel. Perfect location for races but also nice if not. Beautiful scenery and very quiet. Parking easy with lots of space. We were able to check in early which was great before the racing started. Bar area very nice with a relaxing atmosphere. Staff very attentive. Room was very nice in the 2nd floor facing the golf course, so fabulous View. Very clean. Beds very comfortable and the bedding top quality with the best pillows ever. Toiletries are good quality with a long lasting smell on your skin. Towels greasy , white and fluffy. We had large windows like patio doors so could open wide. Only issue was the outside bar ( was no balcony) had loads of covert and dead insects in it. Breakfast. The dining room again had a very relaxing atmosphere was bright and very clean. The food options were plentiful and of good quality and quantity. Coffee from a machine , but used fresh ground coffee , beans when choosing you options. The bar prices were quite good, didn’t feel I was being over charged and the bar staff were quick and efficient. Overall a superb stay.
