DO NOT STAY HERE! If you read the reviews you will see that many people complain about items being stolen from there bags. I have a strong suspicion this is the cleaners and instead of cleaning they are going through people’s bags. Upon check in we were warned by the receptionist not to leave any valuables in our room and to take them everywhere with us. Which is not what you want to hear at check in. Anyways luckily we listened to the receptionist as we had seen concerning reviews before staying here. Without surprise our bags had been gone through. Luckily nothing was stolen from us as we were smart enough to remove our valuables. However, still leaving an unsettling feeling knowing items were moved in our bags as they got searched, they even left the zipper in the incorrect position after as seen in the image. Despite this issue there were also a lot of ants in our room and the room wasn’t properly cleaned any time the cleaners entered the room as there were stains left on the counters and floors and I expect the cleaners were too busy trying to steal stuff. Despite these issues it is not the worst place and the location is good but I think if they just got new trustworthy cleaners then this place would be so much better.

Amari Vang Vieng is one of the best places to stay in Vang Vieng. Beautiful views, excellent service, modern facilities, and an unbeatable location make it perfect for both leisure and business travel. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again.

Mixed feelings about this hotel. On the positive it's a new hotel, everything is quite clean, you have your own balcony and all that for a decent price. Location is good as it's a bit outside the noisy party area but not too far, so you're still kinda in the centre. But a few negative things to point out: you have two large glass window walls on the front and back, that's not everyone's taste. You also have a bathtub with large window and good view however the hotel is designed in a way that the neighbour can also look into your bathtub from their balcony from just 1 meter distance, awkward. Also the water is not properly hot, just 40 degrees maximum, so it's not possible to have a proper bath anyways. Toilet flush didn't work. The light switches are so strange because some work with a mechanic switch and some work with a sensor hat reacts to your movements, staff didn't tell me and I took a long time to figure out. Look, no one uses this and it's inconvenient for the guests, just use normal light switches and ideally label them. Then there is the breakfast, coffee machine was broken down and the food was mediocre at best. Staff was friendly and tried their best. Would I book again? Actually yea maybe, it has a certain value proposition but from the details you can see that a lot of potential has been missed by questionable design choices or lack of maintenance.

Let me tell you, this hotel deserves to pay its staff triple! Khamla truly went above and beyond to make sure I had an amazing stay, and her kindness left me speechless. Honestly, when I first arrived, I thought, “Oh no, I’m canceling my booking right now.” But thankfully, they let me see the room before check-in and even offered a full refund if I wasn’t satisfied. In the end, I decided to stay for the two nights since I figured it would be okay. Now, I won’t lie—the exterior of the hotel looks a bit worn, but don’t let that fool you! Inside, it’s spotless and conveniently located near a plethora of restaurants, bars, and tourist attractions. I booked an exhilarating hot air balloon ride for $120 through the hotel for the next day, and it was absolutely unforgettable. I also had my heart set on visiting the Nahm Xai viewpoint but didn’t want to venture out alone. The staff went out of their way to help me find an English-speaking tour guide, and when that didn’t pan out, Khamla from the front desk stepped in. She graciously offered to be my guide on her day off! She hiked with me up to the viewpoint, snapped photos, and made sure I was safe and sound every step of the way. In the end, I couldn't have been happier with my decision to stay. The service here is truly top tier, making this hotel experience one I won’t forget!

Bu otelin konumu çok iyi. Personel çok cana yakın. Birçok şey için rezervasyon yapmama yardımcı olan bir Vietnamlı vardı. Dağlara kısmi manzaralı tek kişilik bir oda ayırtmıştım, sonra bir gece daha kalırsam odamı aynı fiyata Deluxe odaya yükseltebileceklerini söylediler ve aman Tanrım, yeni odada jakuzi, balkon ve dağlara TAM manzara vardı. Çok etkileyiciydi! Bu deluxe oda çok güzeldi, klima ve internet ***et iyi çalışıyordu. Bunu takdir ettim. Kahvaltı dahildi ve çok çeşitli yiyecekler vardı. Ayrıca kahve makinesi var ve kapuçino alabilirsiniz. Odada su ve sabun veriyorlar. Ayrıca çamurlu bir yürüyüşten sonra ayakkabılarımı temizlediler. Vang Vieng'e tekrar gelirsem burada kalacağımı düşünüyorum. İlk fotoğraflar tek kişilik odadan. Deluxe odadaki fotoğraflar, yolun yukarıdan görüldüğü fotoğraftan başlıyor. There is so many good things that can be said. If you are looking for natural beauty only a minute away from the city this is it. Coupled with the most helpful staff I have ever experienced in line with The Taj in India. Over the top help and professionalism. Great pool and spa. Big rooms, comfortable bed. Tasty food at restaurant. And more …!

This was my second time staying at Domon Riverside Hotel, and overall it is still a very nice and affordable place in Vang Vieng. The hotel is very convenient. They have motorcycle rentals, coffee, and even money exchange at the front desk. The owner couple are very friendly, kind, and welcoming people. However, this time the service was not as good. When we asked the cleaner to change the bed, they looked unhappy and made angry facial expressions, which was annoying. There was also a Spanish group playing loud music and talking very loudly. Despite this, the hotel is still beautiful and the owners remain polite and friendly. I still recommend this affordable hotel to anyone visiting Vang Vieng

Probably the best value for its price. I great lounge zone with tables, the hotel is new. The owner and the manager guy are always trying to be helpful, very responsible. The hotel is super clean, they provide all the services starting from bus tickets and motorbike rental to hot air balloon and blue lagoon tours. Though there’s a better price for the buggy rent in the other places. I had a gigantic cockroach in my room once, I told the stuff they were very concerned, gave me poison and offered to change the room. Since I demolished the gigantic cockroach I haven’t seen any since but you have to remember that you are in Vangvieng, the insects are everywhere you can reduce the risk by keeping your door closed and keeping the light on
