"Vagus Hotel is a vintage-themed boutique hotel. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Zhongshan MRT Station Exit 2. It is also near the Ning Xia Night Market. The room was clean and comfortable. Water dispensers (hot & cold water) are available on several floors and in the lobby, and also serve a complimentary snacks, coffee, and tea area. The reception staff were very friendly. We managed to rent the travel adapters from the reception. The hotel provided free Wi-Fi. The beds are quite firm and clean. Although the lighting in the room was slightly dim and the hotel felt a bit old in some areas, it added to the hotel’s charm rather than being a problem. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant experience."

"the hotel location was pretty good, about 5-10 mins walk from ximending exit 6, the amenities are pretty basic and room is reasonably clean the only thing was that the ceiling is quite low in the toilet so need to becareful if you are more than 180cm other than that the hotel staff are quite friendly and helpful, we also booked an airport drop off service from them at reasonable price"

"Our family of six stayed at Hotel Èclat Taipei, occupying three different rooms on Level 5. Overall, the rooms were cosy, stylish, and felt luxurious, but our experience varied noticeably from room to room. One point to note is the lack of basic amenities — toothbrushes and toothpaste were not provided, which may surprise some guests. Additionally, the room features were inconsistent: - One room had heated toilet seats, while the other two did not. - One room had automated curtains, while the rest were manual. - Another room had warm water from the bidet, but others did not. Although Hotel Èclat is a 5-star hotel, the lobby is relatively small and may feel cramped, especially when multiple guests are checking in at the same time. Sound insulation could also be improved, as we occasionally heard guests laughing late at night. That said, there were definite highlights. The bedding was extremely comfortable, and both the water pressure and bath products were excellent, making showers very enjoyable. These details made a big difference to our comfort. Location-wise, the hotel is excellent. It is extremely close to Taipei 101, which is very convenient for guests planning to visit the area. The hotel is also situated between two MRT stations on the Red Line, each approximately 400–600 metres away. Walking to and from the MRT stations was pleasant, especially with the cool December weather, making the commute comfortable and enjoyable. We did not opt for the hotel breakfast, as we preferred exploring traditional ********* breakfast options nearby. The staff were polite, professional, and accommodating, assisting us with umbrella rentals and ensuring our rooms were on the same floor, which we appreciated greatly as a family travelling together. Overall, Hotel Èclat offers a comfortable stay in a prime location with attentive service, though greater consistency in room features, amenities, and shared spaces would further enhance the experience."

"My family had a great experience staying at Hua Shan Din for 5 nights. There is alot to praise, like the excellent location, literally 2 mins walk to the Zhongxiao Xinsheng MRT station, Family Mart and 7/11 next door, good variety & vegetarian - friendly for the breakfast buffet, efficient housekeeping service and cute decor. The rooms were also well appointed and clean. If there is anything to critique, it would be the not so great shower drainage system -- the water flow is very slow - abt 3 mins plus to drain after a shower. It's not great to have to stand in soapy bath water to wait for the water to drain. It's a design problem, and it's unavoidable as we shower twice everyday. it could also be because of a structural constraint, but is worth effort from the hotel to look into this, as it would otherwise impact the whole experience, which is already great."
