Our guests consider this hotel to have excellent service. This hotel is a popular accommodation for couples.
"Thought I was upgraded from 36m2 to 28m2 (happiness room to love suite), so it is on higher floor, not G/F. Just note that there are two stairs inside room for love suite (door to room, room to hot spring) so it actually feel smaller than the photos. Original plan was to have my aunt 65+ to stay. Stairs may present some difficulties to them so ask hotel before confirmation of your trip if you have elderly /small children. Pros: can listen to birds singing in the mornings while watching Mountain View. This will be one strong reason for coming back. Also, views from dining room is superb. Appreciated so much for the staff at reception who meticulously take care of my needs to order take-out. She was so kind & I hope more ladies could be in hotel to serve their clients. At this price (lowest HKD46x for basic room type) there is nothing to complain. So I would definitely consider going back in winter times. Cons: plumbing system is old coz it’s uphill. WC can only handle liquid waste. Housekeeping effort will be needed for any solid waste disposal… Noise from housekeeping (& kitchen staff sending breakfast to rooms) can disturb sleep for light sleepers. When they change buffet breakfast to room service, I went to fetch a cup for hot water. A male staff intercepted me & asked abt the cups. To assure him that I won’t take these away, just show the pic below to reception (留下三大跟三小的杯). Hope he understands that female solo travellers are common elsewhere even i looked like locals; & simply bc my travel-mate have to leave earlier than planned."

Wholesome Hotel is a brand new hotel that provides multiple accommodation options such as business travel, self-service travel, family travel, etc. The hotel has a Chinese and Western buffet breakfast and a garden seating area, free coffee, tea and WiFi.It is close to the historical districts of Longshan Temple, Ximending and Bopiliao. The hotel is about 3 minutes' walk from Longshan Temple MRT Station. It is only 1 stop away from Ximending MRT Station and 2 stops away from Taipei Main Station. It is about 50 minutes drive from Taoyuan International Airport. minute. The famous Mengjia Night Market and Huaxi Street Night Market in Taipei are at the entrance of the hotel, which is a good choice for your Taipei travel accommodation.
"So I wanted to be close to Ximending and also experience the older area of Taipei. Wholesome was affordable and pretty well rated and I only needed one night. The location is both convenient and inconvenient. I didn’t realize it’s in the middle of a night market so my Uber had trouble getting me to the front door (don’t arrive in the evening or you will have this problem). If you’re wanting to walk out the front door and be in a night market then it’s very convenient! The lobby is nice and spacious. I was told at checkin that checkout is at 11am! That’s shorter than other hotels, take note. Also if you lose your key card it’s 200NTD charge. Pros:  The room itself is fine and quite spacious. I got a twin room with a window and bathtub. Sheets were clean and well pressed. There’s foaming had soap at the sink. Shampoo and body wash in the bathtub shower. The wall mural is cute and the decor is colorful and fun; reminds me of Marriott’s aloft style. There’s a small fridge Air conditioning worked well. Decently close to Longshan Station MRT. A few blocks from Longshan temple. A lot of convenience stores nearby. Turn give you 2 bottles of water and there’s a kettle for brewing water as well as mugs for hot water/coffee/tea. Cons: My safe didn’t work.  The sink is outside of the bathroom with no towel hangers so you have to grab towels from the bathroom and leave them on your bed.  Also there are no plugs next to the bed so I had to plug my charger There was mold in the grout of my bathtub / shower There was also some sticky glue or some thing on bottom of the tub. They don’t exchange currency They didn’t have any English maps Overall: If you need a place to stay it’s fine. Better than a motel."

"This hotel was great! Would stay here again.  Location is great. Just take exit 3 or 4 from the Shandao Temple station (useful line btw). A famous breakfast option within a couple of minutes walk and there’s a supermarket there too.  Service was prompt and courteous. We forgot to cancel the do not disturb sign one day and asked for towels when we got back. They promptly came up with the full set, including the floor towels and wanted to do the replacement and set up for us too.  Room was clean and amenities sufficient (body soap, shampoo conditioner, body lotion). No disposables but we were told beforehand and were prepared. Not a problem at all.  We didn’t take breakfast at the hotel, which would have been provided by Starbucks which they’ve partnered at the ground floor. Hotel guests enjoy a 10 percent discount at the Starbucks too.  The hotel gym is small but sufficient, three treadmills and one elliptical. There was no one else there at 7am."

"I had an excellent stay at the Grand Hyatt Taipei. The location is unbeatable—right next to Taipei 101 and in the heart of the Xinyi district, making it so convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and dining. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm and attentive. The lobby is beautiful and welcoming, and the staff always greeted me with a smile. My room was spacious, very clean, and well-designed, with a comfortable bed and a great view of Taipei 101. Housekeeping kept everything spotless during my stay. Breakfast was another highlight—the buffet had a wide variety of delicious choices, both Western and Asian, and everything was fresh. I also appreciated the hotel facilities, especially the gym and pool, which were well maintained. Overall, I highly recommend the Grand Hyatt Taipei for anyone visiting the city. "For solo traveler, it's spacious and great to invite friends over to chat.  Kitchen sink is large and fridge/ freezer is definitely enough for my 3 night stay but the kitchen didn't have scissors or knives incase you needed to cook.   The Smart TV is good, although only one English Channel (ABC News), it allows you option to log into your YouTube or Netflix account.   There was an offering of a free beverage every night during happy hour (5-7pm).  Service there was nice except one night, a younger fellow was not present and when he returned to the cafe, he smelled of smoke.   Front Desk was nice.  Also appreciate free umbrellas to use, and uber drivers can easily find the location of the hotel entrance. Overall, I will definitely be staying in future as it is in a great location for what I need (ie. most my appointments are in Xinyi) and very close to Taipei City Hall MRT station."

"This is by far the best hotel I have stayed in Taipei, the location is superb, just 400m away from the BR line Nanjingfuxing station. The breakfast is awesome, the room comes with everything you need, bathtub with jacuzzi, washing/drying machine, microwave oven, fridge, mini bar with complimentary soft drinks and snacks, coffee machine, working desk, you name it. The only con is that, maybe the room is a bit small and dark but I am staying alone, so I'm ok with that. I will definitely come back!"

"We stayed at Ximen Citizen Hotel for two nights. The location is convenient (but there som hotels are very near to Ximen mrt) and the room itself was clean, though not very spacious. They also offer free coffee, which was nice, but there were no free snacks as shown in the room photos, which was a bit disappointing. One thing that wasn’t clearly mentioned during booking is that the hotel has two separate buildings. I was expecting to be placed in the other building, so it was a surprise when we were assigned to a different one. It was fine overall, but the building we stayed in looked quite old and felt a bit creepy at times. Another downside is the lack of a proper lobby or waiting area. Our flight home was late in the evening, and we planned to wait at the hotel, but there were no chairs available. We asked if we could wait in the other building’s lobby, but while there were chairs, the space was very small and not comfortable at all. Overall, the hotel is acceptable for a short stay because of its cleanliness and location, but I hope they can improve their facilities—especially the lobby and waiting area—to make guests feel more comfortable."

"I am happy to share my experience at the Courtyard Marriott. It was my first stay at the hotel and I must say I was very impressed. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The staff were very friendly and professional. They were quick to rectify any mistakes and even apologized for them. The breakfast served at the hotel was one of the best I have ever had. I must admit, I indulged quite a bit and gained a few extra pounds over my visit. The gym was decent and provided me with a good workout experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and functional. I even enjoyed the elevator music. One thing that made my stay special was the email I received from the hotel staff (Jane Li) the day after I checked out. The email thanked me for staying at the hotel and requested my feedback on the service provided. This level of customer service is exceptional and I have never experienced it before. Well done Courtyard Marriott! I am definitely planning to come back."

Absolutely excellent staff, and a lovely hotel in Beitou. However the rooms are starting to show its age as it opened in 2010 - e.g. I observed some stains on the doors in my room. Conveniently located in the touristy part of Beitou, near the library and steps away from a 7-Eleven if you need anything at night.

Stayed at Caesar Metro Taipei and overall it was a good experience. The location is very convenient, just a short walk to Longshan Temple MRT, making it easy to get around Taipei. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice city view. However, the hotel can be quite crowded, especially at the lobby and lifts during peak hours. Cleanliness was acceptable but not perfect. The surrounding area is more local and not as lively as Ximending. Overall, it’s a good value hotel for the price, especially if you prioritize convenience and space over luxury.

1/ Location: The hotel is just in front of Taipei Main Station, making it extremely convenient. The nearest exit (Z4, with lift) is currently under repair. You can use Exit Z2 (stairs) to reach the hotel. If you have luggage, you can use the elevator at the M or K exit for easier access. So this place has everything you could possibly need., shops, convenience stores, restaurants,...especially you can explore an underground shopping area (like a mini city here) at Taipei main station (including Taipei city mall with Anime city). I was truly impressed. 2/ Room: Although the soundproofing is not perfect, we still had a very good sleep after a long day of traveling. The room was very clean and modern. No window, no big deal. We can enjoy our stay very much. Good price. 3/ Receptionist: so nice and helpful. They were welcoming and always ready to help. 4/ From hotel to Taoyuan Airport: It’s very easy to get to the Taoyuan Airport MRT. You don’t need to enter Taipei Main Station — just follow the direction (as shown in my picture). The metro entrance is only a few steps from the hotel, very convenient for airport transfer.

Perfect location, transportation is easy by bus's to the nearest train station or city centre. The hotel staff's were helpful, the room is clean, big, nice toilet and bathroom. The washbasin bottle trap not allowing water to escape quickly.

Everytime we go to taiwan we always stay at this hotel as we are a family of 4. The location is about 10 mins walk to ximending thats the shopping area. The hotel now DOES NOT give toilettries in thr bathroom. They just have the dispenser of shampoo and shower gel. So you have to bring your own toothrbush, toothpaste, shaver, vanity kit etc. They do change your bath towels VERY PROMPTLY. The receptionists were all fabulous! Very courteous! Very nice to talk to! We will definitely still stay at this hotel the next time we go back to taiwan. Happy New Year everyone! 😘😘😘

So far so good, room was comfy enough. Good area, walk just 3minutes away from shillin night market and 6minutes to metro station. The problem is there is no elevator to our room, meanwhile we got 3 big luggages 😕 Please mention if no elevator access to the room, thanks

The front desk staff are helpful in general, but the cleanliness of the room still needs big improvement. I found screw on the floor, then something like ‘ash’ on the coffee table. The door, if not closed super tightly, will remain open without notice.
