"really close to the canal, walking distance from most of the Otaru highlights! if you’re driving, just park slightly off the hotel ~1 min walk away. (we only found a spot a bit too late..) that’s abt 600-700yen per day, else it’s 1500 yen to park at the hotel.. and you have to vacate by 11AM. so if we did this again we’d park at the other parking lot! breakfast is amazing although it was SO CROWDED!! onsen is nice but just a small room so it gets really crowded at peak times.. appreciated the amenities in onsen tho! (skincare) view from room is nice if you’re facing the mountain~"

"Sakurayuki is a very good accommodation for family and its location is quite convenient for taking a walk trough each scenic spot around Otaru Canal. Each staff therein is very amicable to the visitor who stay over night(s). To me, I will go and visit this place again and woild like to highly recommend any of visitors like me to stay over night(s) in this guesthouse."

"The newly opened hotel is conveniently located, within walking distance of attractions. A morning stroll along the Otaru Canal was very pleasant. We purchased breakfast in the morning and it was still available. Good food and nice restaurant. I was a little worried after seeing many negative reviews before checking in. But after checking in, I found everything was great. They have probably made many improvements."

"We stayed at Grids Premium Otaru as a family of three in a room with three beds, and the space was very good by Japanese standards. We loved the vibes of this new hotel — the lobby is very cozy, and the overall atmosphere made our stay extremely comfortable. The location is excellent, within walking distance from Otaru Station, Otaru Canal, and nearby attractions. From our room, we enjoyed beautiful scenery overlooking the Otaru Canal and the sea. It was snowing during our stay, which made the view even more magical and memorable. The room is well equipped with a good air system, allowing us to choose between heating or air conditioning. The windows can be opened slightly for ventilation, which we really appreciated. The beds were soft and very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s rest for all of us. The shower, toilet, and sink are all separated, which made it very convenient for everyone to use. We also enjoyed the onsen in the hotel. Although it is small, it feels cozy and relaxing. The outdoor onsen is a highlight — open to the sky, allowing us to enjoy the falling snow at the same time. Access to the onsen is secure, as the doors only open when tapped with the correct men’s or women’s room card, which made us feel safe and reassured. The hotel also provides practical facilities, including two washer-and-dryer machines and two microwaves on Level 1, which were very convenient during our stay. A Lawson convenience store is located right next door, making it easy to grab snacks or necessities anytime. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay here and would highly recommend Grids Premium Otaru, especially for families looking for a comfortable, well-located, and modern hotel in Otaru."

"The location is not at the central Otaru but it is about 15 minutes drive to the central attractions. Service is not the best. Check-in strictly at 2pm. Arrived close to 1pm but was told cannot check-in and need to wait until 2pm. Came back at 1.40pm still told the same statement to wait until 2pm. The upside is the hotel is directly connected to AEON mall. Don't expect much from the AEON. There are around 6-7 eateries only. You can buy some fresh stuff if you like. There is post office in the AEON mall which you can mail you things back. Parking in the hotel is not free. Chargeable at ¥1,650 per day with multiple entry allow. Breakfast option is not great. You can get better food outside for the pricing unless it is included in the room package."

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The location was perfect—close to major attractions and public transportation. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it."

"下車後可以直接轉坐市內公交車，走路過來也不遠，沿途的風景不錯，門口的小玄關可愛，衞生情況也不錯，唯一的缺點就是房間的一個窗户是紗簾，早早就被光給照醒了。自助參加住房，拍照上傳護照，然後拿鑰匙，如果是幾個人可能會更好玩，有廚房和洗衣機。適合短時間旅遊居住。"

"This hotel has the most convenient location (just right in front of Otaru train station). They also serve Japanese style buffet breakfast, with many varieties, including seafood don. Taste were so so good even though it’s a hotel breakfast. Public bath were clean and well equipped with sufficient washing stations, hairdryers and lockers. Room size was compact. Okay for 1 night stay."

"The hotel has the historic charm with modern comfort in a great location. It us just a short walk to Otaru Canal and LeTAO. Guests enjoy complimentary wine from 5–6:30 PM, a rooftop sitting area, and a tasty breakfast with both Japanese and Western options. A convenience store and coin parking are nearby, making the stay even more convenient. Rooms are cozy, though the pillows could be improved."
