"It's been a good experience staying in this hotel for the past 5 days. The breakfast is good. The room is spacious. Service is very well maintained.
For improvement;
1. Wifi sometimes is okay, sometimes slow.
2. Swimming pool operation time is very limited. Would be better if guests could use it up to 8pm.
3. The room got a weird sound when all the light was switched off. Not sure if it's wiring or....

"Imperial Hotel Kuching offers a convenient location and generally comfortable rooms, but the air-conditioning system needs attention. Each time the unit is switched on, it produces a loud, persistent noise that disrupts rest. "This hotel is right in front of the famous Kuching landmark - the 7 cats. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The toilet also comes with bidet and shower was good. Breakfast buffet was also good with a decent selection of Sarawak food as well. Nearby Carpenter street too! Overall even though its a little dated it is still a very good choice to stay."

"The location is superb, walkable distance to Darul Hana bridge, India Street, Carpenter Street and Borneo Cultures Museum. Plaza Merdeka is right beside the hotel, you can go to the mall through hotel lobby. I love how comfy the bed is and receptionist is very kind and helpful. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel is centrally located and beside the Waterfront. However, the condition of the hotel looked rundown with poor maintenance in the room carpet and bathroom room and also the faulty lift. The level of customer is below average as compared to my previous stay. The management needs to pull up it's socks as the quality of the hotel has deteriorated so much since my last stay."

YYourhighnessOur 5th time staying here and have always been happy with hilton kuching rooms being spotless. However this time, we have got a room that is not so clean and things were in bad condition as compared to the previous rooms I have stayed in. Check in was great as attended by Bong. One other feedback, the lobby area parking attendant, there is one lady with short hair seems to be quite fierce looking and not sure if this is a hospitality service from Hilton Kuching as she does not even have a smile on her face as compared to the rest of the staff attending to the parking in the Lobby, they were very friendly and welcoming which I have always experienced in the past. Hope the management is able to do something about her and remind her on the basics of being in thehospitality service.

DDinah A RazaliThe hotel provides great basic amenities for me to have a comfortable stay. The location is great, only 2-min walk to the cat statue and then can continue walking along the waterfront. The breakfast buffet spread also decent, i love their fried rice and fresh pineapple and orange juice. The staff also very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Great service!

I recently stayed at this hotel with my small family, and it turned out to be an excellent choice for a short and convenient trip. The service was consistently warm and helpful throughout our stay. The receptionist recommended a cozy family room that suited us perfectly — comfortable, clean, and ideal for parents traveling with young children.
One of the biggest advantages is the location. The hotel is within walking distance of many key attractions, making it very easy to plan outings with kids. There’s also a shopping area located within the same building, which was extremely convenient. We were able to get almost anything we needed before 9 PM without having to go far.
As for dining, I wouldn’t recommend the food court attached to the building. The hotel’s own dining options or nearby restaurants offer a much better experience in terms of quality and comfort, especially when traveling with children.
Overall, this hotel offers great service, an excellent location, and a family-friendly setup. I would gladly return and recommend it to others looking for a hassle-free stay with kids.

AAnonim KullanıcıLast minute booking and this is the only available room. The room cater for 4 person and very very spacious. Even the bathroom is as big as a bedroom. Few things that lack are the room cater for 4 people but the furniture not accommodate for 4 people. The place to put your luggage can only put one luggage. There is only one table and it is a very small table. For 4 people there will be not enough space to put stuff there.
Not sure the purpose having a bathtub in the bedroom though.
Location wise roughly around 1km plus to the riverfront. So still within walking distance.
Breakfast not much choices so my advice to find food outside.

My family (2 adults, 2 kids) stayed here for one night 19/12/2025 in Tower A, Room 915. We booked the room with 2 Queen beds, and overall, it is still good value for money, but there are some significant maintenance issues to address.
The Positives:
• Space & Comfort: The room was very spacious, and the beds were comfortable—we slept well.
• Utilities: The air conditioning is powerful and cold, water pressure is excellent, and the Wi-Fi connection was strong and stable.
• Service: The staff were the highlight—very friendly, helpful, and welcoming.
• Value: Free parking is a plus, and the breakfast buffet, while not having a huge variety, was tasty.
The Negatives:
• Mold: Upon entering Room 915, we were greeted by a damp mold smell. The bathroom walls, sink, and floor edges were stained with mold, and the external window view was tarnished by mold stains as well.
• Pool Area: The swimming pool is nice, but there are absolutely no lounge chairs or tables. I had to place my dry clothes and towel on the wet floor, which is quite inconvenient.
• Entertainment: The TV only offers local Malaysian channels.
It’s a budget-friendly option if you prioritize space over modern finishings.

1. There is no place to sit except a bed in the room.
2. I didn't receive instructions to check in and have to make multiple calls.
3. The shower is great, however if the room next to you is showering, you can hear the water pump and it's loud. There are multiple people who shower around 1 am and it's terrible. If the sound can be controlled then it's great.
Overall good to stay.
