"This hotel is right in front of the famous Kuching landmark - the 7 cats. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The toilet also comes with bidet and shower was good. Breakfast buffet was also good with a decent selection of Sarawak food as well. Nearby Carpenter street too! Overall even though its a little dated it is still a very good choice to stay."

"The room is spacious and nice, the only thing is that it’s a bit old, location is good. Housekeeping always comes early in the morning and will leave a note under your room if you put do not disturb. Always need to ask housekeeping to come and clean the room if the paper is there, there was one day that we just put housekeeping green lights on and ignored the paper, the room was not clean when we went back at night."

"3D2N Stay at UCSI Hotel Kuching – A Comfortable & Convenient Getaway
We recently stayed at UCSI Hotel Kuching for a short 3D2N getaway and had a great overall experience. The hotel is located near the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching, which was super convenient, especially since we were driving. There’s ample parking, and getting to Kuching town only took us about 15–20 minutes by car.
The Room & Facilities:
Our room was clean, and comfortable. We appreciated the cozy bed, strong air-conditioning, and good Wi-Fi. The hotel also has a nice rooftop pool and gym that add a touch of luxury to the stay."

"Our 5th time staying here and have always been happy with hilton kuching rooms being spotless. However this time, we have got a room that is not so clean and things were in bad condition as compared to the previous rooms I have stayed in. Check in was great as attended by Bong. One other feedback, the lobby area parking attendant, there is one lady with short hair seems to be quite fierce looking and not sure if this is a hospitality service from Hilton Kuching as she does not even have a smile on her face as compared to the rest of the staff attending to the parking in the Lobby, they were very friendly and welcoming which I have always experienced in the past. Hope the management is able to do something about her and remind her on the basics of being in thehospitality service."

"I stayed at Astana Wing Riverside Hotel during a recent business trip and found it to be a comfortable and practical choice. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a conducive environment for rest after a long day of meetings.
The location is convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants within walking distance, which made meals and short breaks very manageable during my stay.
The service provided by the staff was acceptable; however, I believe a warmer and more welcoming approach would further enhance the experience for business travellers.

We had a wonderful stay at the resort. The staff were exceptionally friendly and ready to help us with a smile. They even waiting and welcoming us to the counter for registration though it’s a hot day. He also led us to our guest room. When we opened the room, the air conditioning was ready for us. The room was clean, spacious and well-maintained, offering both comfort and a beautiful view. I especially enjoyed the greeneries and peaceful surrounding, the well-kept landscaping facilities and delicious food served at the restaurant. Everything was thoughtfully arranged especially my birthday cake, to make the guests feel welcome and relaxed. The swimming pool is built above the sea with a good and fantastic view across the sea horizon especially beautiful sun rise view. Besides, it’s safe for beginner like me. We truly appreciate the warm hospitality and I will definitely recommend this resort to friends and family, and look forward to coming back again. Congrats.

Room with sea view was absolutely perfect. The panoramic ocean view from our room were breathtaking, green, fresh. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. Very calm pool to swim. Private beach access was ideal for relaxing vacation.

Room is big but worn out. Towels and bedsheet has got an unpleasant smell even though it’s changed. Location is good if you don’t mind the noise from the Regatta (Happen to be there at the weekend). Do note that there’s road closure during these period and grab cannot pick up/drop off in front of the hotel.
Staff are friendly and helpful. It’s ok to miss breakfast. But some inconsistency, they did not ask for deposit from us unlike other review where they ask for deposit in cash/card.
Don’t bother to order anything from the restaurant/bar. I order the least possible to screw up drink aka hot tea and it comes lukewarm diluted in less than half a disposable cup. Didn’t asked for takeaway.
Overall, with the same price, just go to an international chain hotel.

Great Choice for Families with Kids
I recently stayed at this hotel with my small family, and it turned out to be an excellent choice for a short and convenient trip. The service was consistently warm and helpful throughout our stay. The receptionist recommended a cozy family room that suited us perfectly — comfortable, clean, and ideal for parents traveling with young children.
One of the biggest advantages is the location. The hotel is within walking distance of many key attractions, making it very easy to plan outings with kids. There’s also a shopping area located within the same building, which was extremely convenient. We were able to get almost anything we needed before 9 PM without having to go far.
As for dining, I wouldn’t recommend the food court attached to the building. The hotel’s own dining options or nearby restaurants offer a much better experience in terms of quality and comfort, especially when traveling with children.
Overall, this hotel offers great service, an excellent location, and a family-friendly setup. I would gladly return and recommend it to others looking for a hassle-free stay with kids.

Last minute booking and this is the only available room. The room cater for 4 person and very very spacious. Even the bathroom is as big as a bedroom. Few things that lack are the room cater for 4 people but the furniture not accommodate for 4 people. The place to put your luggage can only put one luggage. There is only one table and it is a very small table. For 4 people there will be not enough space to put stuff there.
Not sure the purpose having a bathtub in the bedroom though.
Location wise roughly around 1km plus to the riverfront. So still within walking distance.
Breakfast not much choices so my advice to find food outside.

Booked Deluxe Junior Suite for my stay, but unfortunately, the air conditioning in the room was not functioning properly. Even after it was repaired, it still didn’t work as expected. I requested a room change, but was offered a Triple Room instead, which was not the same category as my original booking. As it was a business trip and I had limited time, I didn't pursue this further.

I booked a Standard Hill View King on Chinese New Year Eve, The overall stay is a decent one, was provided with one King size bed and one single size bed, room was equipped with one mini fridge, one kettle and some cups, tissues, TV but the satellite line was bad as TV line appears unstable, small hair dryer, you can refer to photo I posted for amenities and room view, what I showed is all I got. Breakfast wasn't many choice but good enough, they have laksa, kolomee, salad, nasi lemak, bread

⭐ Review: Riverbank Suites Unit 408, Kuching, Sarawak
I recently stayed at Riverbank Suites Unit 408 in Kuching, Sarawak, and overall it was a very pleasant experience. The location is one of the major highlights — right in the heart of the city and just steps away from the Kuching Waterfront, local eateries, and popular attractions like Carpenter Street and the Main Bazaar. This made exploring the city on foot very easy and convenient.
The unit itself was spacious and comfortable, with two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine, and a balcony offering scenic views of the Sarawak River. It is ideal for families, couples, or longer stays.
Cleanliness was good, and the basic amenities such as Wi-Fi and air-conditioning were provided. However, the air-conditioning in Room 2 was leaking, so we did not use it throughout our stay. As a result, the room felt slightly warm during sleep.
One of the highlights of the unit is the balcony view, especially in the evening, which creates a relaxing atmosphere overlooking the river and city lights. Facilities such as the swimming pool and parking were also appreciated.
Overall, Riverbank Suites Unit 408 is a well-located and comfortable accommodation with great views. With minor maintenance improvements, it would be an even better place to stay in Kuching.
