Our stay at the Silk Commerce Clubhouse in Wuzhen wasn’t just a hotel visit; it was an experience of sublime harmony. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere where history and contemporary luxury are woven together with impeccable taste. The property itself is a masterpiece of preservation. The historical structure, with its classic Jiangnan water town architecture, has been converted with the utmost respect and sophistication. Inside, however, every modern amenity is thoughtfully integrated—plush bedding, a stunning rain shower, and elegant tech touches—creating a sanctuary of comfort that honors the past without sacrificing a single present-day pleasure. A crowning jewel of each day was the made-to-order breakfast. It was nothing short of spectacular—perfectly balanced, fresh, and beautifully presented. It provided the ideal, energizing start, especially because this clubhouse offers a golden key to Wuzhen: the privilege of exploring the ancient canals and lanes in the serene morning hours, blissfully free from the crowds. To have the misty, poetic beauty of Wuzhen almost to oneself is an unforgettable luxury, and it’s an advantage that truly sets this property apart. Yet, what truly elevated our stay from exceptional to unforgettable was the service, personified by Jiajia. Her warm, attentive, and genuinely caring hospitality catered to our every need with a graceful efficiency and a radiant smile. She anticipated requests, offered wonderful local insights, and handled every detail with such personal care that we felt not just as guests, but as cherished friends. She is the heart and soul of the Clubhouse experience. The Silk Commerce Clubhouse is more than a place to sleep; it’s the perfect, tranquil base from which to fall in love with Wuzhen. It offers a rare blend of cultured history, modern comfort, culinary delight, and, most importantly, a standard of service that makes you feel profoundly welcome. Splendid Clubhouse, Wuzhen We were not sure about the Splendid Clubhouse when booking as there were not many reviews about the hotel and the name was not that inspiring, but we took a chance and were really glad we did! From the moment we arrived we were greeted by a super friendly and sweet hostess who took care of all our luggage, was incredibly attentive to my elderly mother and assisted us to transfer into the hotel by a private boat. The hotel is located right in the heart of Wuzhen, a water town of canals. The exterior of the hotel is unassuming as it’s designed to blend into the other buildings in Wuzhen, but once you get in you are greeted with an amazing hotel with a mix of modern and old architecture. The check in service was excellent. We were served a beautifully fragrant tea and hot face towels and the staff were all very friendly and attentive to our needs. Our rooms were beautiful with all the modern ammenities. There was a complimentary fresh fruit basket and lots of bottled water. The beds were very comfortable and many rooms had fabulous views of Wuzhen. Our daughter also has special dietary needs as she is allergic to wheat/gluten, eggs, dairy, nuts and sesame and we were concerned that the restaurant would not be able to cater for her needs however we needn’t have worried as the Splendid Restaurant catered for her needs perfectly! The restaurant manager went above and beyond to listen to our needs and concerns about dietary allergies and cross contamination. We brought some of our own sauces (gluten free and allergen free soy sauce and oyster sauce) and they adjusted dishes to accommodate our needs and even prepared a special dish just for our daughter. No request we made was too much to handle for the staff or the chefs. The meal we had was fantastic, one of the best we had whilst in China. The chef’s skills were superb; the roasted duck was amazing and I highly recommend it along with pretty much all the dishes on the menu. Breakfast is a fantastic selection of al carte choices which showcased local cuisines as well as the usual western choices and a small but ample buffet section. Again they went out of their way to cater to our daughter. We are all so grateful to the excellent chefs and restaurant staff. I highly recommend Splendid Clubhouse. I cannot write enough positive review about them. It is an amazingly beautiful hotel blending the old with the new flawlessly, with fantastic service and was able to meet our special dietary requirements.

Our stay at 盛庭行馆 was truly the highlight of our trip to Wuzhen. From the moment we checked in until after we left, our butler 露佳provided impeccable service and constant care. She checked in with us regularly, ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect. During our visit, I celebrated my birthday, and the hotel went above and beyond to make it special — with a beautifully decorated room and a lovely cake. 露佳also gave excellent recommendations for local food and attractions, and made restaurant reservations for us effortlessly through messages. The room was elegant and comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the overall atmosphere felt both refined and welcoming. Although we visited during the Theater Festival and the town was quite crowded, the serenity and hospitality of 盛庭行馆 made it a peaceful retreat amidst the bustle. I would absolutely choose to stay here again, perhaps at a quieter time, to enjoy even more of its charm.

Eden House is truly the best hotel in Wuzhen. This is our second time staying here, and once again the experience was exceptional. We arrived early in the morning, and the hotel still arranged for someone to meet us and help us check in smoothly. They even recommended a wonderful restaurant and took great care when handling and delivering our luggage. A special thanks to the customer service manager, Xiao Xu, who provided outstanding and highly professional service throughout our stay. Overall, we really enjoyed our time at Eden House and will definitely come back again !

Fantastic rooms. Very large and well appointed. Restaurants don’t do well for vegans but otherwise fine. Service in the Paulaner bar was slow with only one server the evening we tried it. It’s not cheap but it’s very good value for what you get. I’ve stayed twice and would definitely stay again. Recommended if you want to be near the train station.

we took a bus from shanghai pudong airport to jiaxing north station then just took a taxi via didi in alipay to get here. the homestay location was great since they were just beside the No. 2 Gate. For foreigners, we needed to get tickets and show our passports to the visitor center just around 100 meters away from the gate and hotel. from before our arrival all the way to check in, i was in touch with them already via wechat and the response was always very quick and helpful. we liked that the inn also had a free shuttle service on call for us and took us back and forth to dongzha (and old street beside it), as well as the bus station to get to suzhou. The uncle was also very helpful and friendly, ever ready to help us with our luggage all the way to the 3rd floor and to give us his recommendations on timings, directions and such. The younger family member in the front desk was also very helpful! They told us not to engage with the many people offering day trips outside just to be safe. They also lent us umbrellas for the rain and sun, and even band-aids. We would gladly stay at this B&B again but request a lower floor like the 2nd just because we usually go back mid-day and tend to forget stuff so the flights of stairs is something to consider if you're not up to the exercise. The room and toilet were very clean and good value for money! They were also very considerate as to putting all scents away upon my request. Just beside the B&B were small groceries, eateries and stores so we walked around also at night. For wuzhen, we did xizha only first next to the hotel from 4pm onwards for one day then dongzha ,old street (morning to afternoon) and xizha at night again the next day to save on the ticket costs.

Excellent hostel. Big rooms, big communal spaces, big bed with light and plugs, big locker. Everything comfortable and excellent service. Also excellent locational the deeper west end of the Xizha scenic area, so that you get to walk through the entire place again the next morning with few people there. I had a special problem where I forgot something as my last hotel. 2 lovely staff members, one from previous night and one from next morning both agreed to communicate on the phone with my last hotel to help me find and coordinate the item pickup. I am forever happy and grateful for this wonderful place.

A unique geat local hotel with a good reasonably-priced restaurant. This hotel is different from you standard run-of-the-mill hotels - from the room design to the warm hospitality. It is only a hundred meters from the East Gate of Wuzhen ancient city. And if you like visiting local wet markets, one is not very far - about 1.5 kms or a twenty-minute pleasant walk. Visit the market and experience the all-male-morning-cha-club there. Definitely recommended.

We are so lucky to get this property as our acommodation. The owner so helpful, he told me to contact him before our arrival. Turn out, he gave us a free pick up service from bus terminal to his place. He also gave us some suggestion to maximalize our trip in Wuzhen. Room is not big as it take one room in an authentic Wuzhen old house. Location is very strategic. Close to the west entrance of Dongzha (east region), and our backdoor (and window) are direct to the river (and bridge too). Our room come with complimentary chinese tea (too bad we didn't got time to try it out). Eventhough the bathroom is small, it is clean and have hot water running well. And to top it all, the owner also gave us free ride to the bus station after our stay. Thank you very much

Stayed at this amazing resort at the end of April for a short getaway. The moment you enter the entrance, it gives you a serene feeling. The wide entrance walks you to the reception, as a relaxing scene awaits you. The hotel itself is more on modern architecture with minimalist designs. Reception staff was very accommodating and friendly, he even upgraded our room for us to experience more the beauty of Alila, the assigned staff escorted us to our room and give us some heads up about what we can do and where to dine. Since we came around late that afternoon, we had our dinner at the Chinese restaurant. The servers were all superb. We tried some of their specialties which staff recommended and we were very satisfied. Afterward, we strolled around for some night views and fresh air. We then saw at the bar area, the singers are from Philippines (place where we came from), it gives us an urge to drop by to support and say hi. It turned out so well, they were very happy to see someone from where they came from (We were the first, according to them). We enjoyed the cocktails and ambiance so much. Our room was on the ground floor with an independent entrance and 2 private gardens. All is perfect, despite the minimalisitc designs. The breakfast buffet was served in a room facing the lake. As you're having your mouthwatering breakfast, you can enjoy the view. Overall, our stay in this zen like resort brings tranquil zones, dropping the notch of a hustle and bustle city where we used to be.
