Huaqing Palace resort service staff quality is excellent. The front desk staff provided excellent service as she provided her personal WeChat number to us as we do not have a domestic China mobile number in case we need any help during our stay. She also help us to book the appointment for the free photo shoot experience as we are unable to book due to the domestic mobile number issue. The resort also provided a free birthday cake for us as my wife’s birthday falls on the same day as the resort stay. The janitor staff, transport, restaurant, and other service staff are also courteous and provided excellent service and advice. We truly enjoy our magical stay there. Additional point just for further improvement is to explain the procedures for the guests to use the public hot spring bath as some guests are first time users.

Very clean and well-appointed room. Comfortable bed and pillows. Tub nice although the water was not super hot. Room heater worked well. The gym here is actually pretty nice, including dumbbells up to 25kg, some straight bars up to 30kg, a smith machine, a few regular machines, bands, yoga mat, and various treadmills/bike/ellipticals. However, it seems just using your card doesn’t work to open it, you have to get an employee to unlock it for you, and it’s a bit difficult to find due to not enough signage pointing it out. The hot springs outside were pretty nice, I was surprised that despite staying in the hotel I still had to pay an additional fee of over $20 to access the hot springs even just one time. Breakfast buffet was also another $20. The hot springs had lots of small pools, they all seemed the same but with water ranging from 37-42C from what I could see walking around a little, I’m not sure how natural they are because they didn’t have any smell or special feeling despite supposedly being from a sulphur source? In December there’s not too many people so you can easily find a small pool for yourself. They also have a large indoor swimming pool which is suitable for swimming laps. There’s not much in the immediate surrounding area but it’s only a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest subway station and a 10 minute drive to the Hua Qing Palace. The staff speak English and are polite and friendly.

The skyscraper is very large and beautiful. The rooms are nice and have all the amenities. We were given a free room upgrade. There's a beautiful pool and a gym available. Towels were changed and the bathroom was cleaned every day. Breakfast was a buffet with all kinds of food, with chefs preparing typical Xi'an dishes on the spot. Above all, the staff was very kind, accommodating all our requests and offering us yogurt drinks, desserts, and soups for dinner or a snack completely free of charge. Some of the staff speak English, but with WeChat, you can communicate with a translation tool. I recommend it! Excellent value for money.

Really nice hotel, sky lobby has really good views. Breakfast is also where the lobby is and shares the magnificent views. Location is slightly out of city center however there is metro within 10 min walk. It is also right next to a big shopping centre with many food options. Bathroom is magnificent, all veined marble, shower has a bench in it and the bathtub is a great place to relax at the end of a day. Hotel staff were also able to accomodate by giving us latex pillows tho I think they are getting a bit old and need to be replaced. The pool is opened till very late 11pm, staff advised it was to allow customers to be able to go out for dinner and still come back to enjoy ammenities, I think thats very thoughtful. Gym is also big and has great views, 24 hours access. Monica helpful on WeChat, able to accomodate more personal requests such as changing linen daily and extra bottled water etc. The only thing I will say is a bit annoying is that you need to take elevator up to 38th floor lobby, switch elevators then take it down to rooms. I believe rooms are levels 25-30 something. Aircon was a bit stuffy as no windows open and wifi was a bit glitchy. Was a nice stay overall.

A truly unforgettable stay – beyond 5 stars! We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Sofitel People’s Legend in Xi’an. Our room was spacious, elegant, and incredibly comfortable – the perfect place to relax after exploring the city’s rich history. Dining at Dolce Vita was a delight, with exquisite cuisine and a warm atmosphere. What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the exceptional service we received. A heartfelt thank you to Ruizi, Themis, Fancy, and Tommy, who went above and beyond to make our Mother’s Day celebration so special. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care made us feel truly cherished. If we could give more than five stars, this would be a solid 10. We will most certainly return!

Cons: Sound isolation is bad, whole night you can hear people outside hanging out, the water running through pipes and drainage, bed frame resonates with each movement of the neighbors. No fridge! Pros: Location is fairly good enough. Clean, spacey rooms. Advice: You can shop at Vanguard supermarket in the nearest mall.

We checked in around 12 min night and was served by Ms Loopy. She also slept helpful to share with us where we could get our yummy supper and also sending us various links that we could explore for the next two days. The room was spacious compared to other other hotels we have stayed during this trip. Upon knowing one of the rooms were celebrating their wedding anniversary, she made a personalised card for them in the wee hour. The toilets were also very spacious with both a shower and a large bathtub which were both very enjoyable. The only shortfall was we were unavailable to swim in the pool as we were not aware of the requirement to wear a cap. Suggest the hotel to keep visitors informed of the detail prior to others' trip. English Version Ritz-Carlton Xi’an is easily the best hotel in Xi’an. If you’re looking for a truly service-cultured property, look no further. Although the hotel was built in 2019 and the facilities may not be as new as some others in the city, they more than make up for it with their exemplary service. From check-in to check-out, every step was executed with precision and care. I came to Xi’an as a tourist, but honestly felt more like an emperor 🤣. A special shoutout to the Club Lounge team led by Ms. Joyce, who delivered flawless and heartfelt service — they deserve 100% recognition. And Mr. Marshall from Concierge was incredible as well, offering excellent recommendations and support beyond what anyone could imagine. I stayed Hotel for two days with my mom and it was sooooo good! Especially the Chief Concierge Mr. Leo Li and the Front Desk Mr. ”Gao” (I'm sorry if I spelled the name wrong) was very kind. Mr. Li helped a lot when we tried to get a taxi, find touristic places, and carry heavy luggage. Due to his kind support, it was also comfortable for us to lend our luggage to the concierge for almost a whole day at check out day. And he also speaks English! Moreover, Mr. Gao also helped us a lot during our stays as we were not good at Chinese, so he slowly and clearly spokes for us, which were easy for us to understand. And all the food - including breakfast, happy hour, and afternoon tea was so good and we want to visit again when we come back to Xi'an. Thanks to all the staff from the hotel and I strongly recommend you visit this hotel!!

Really good service, Cindy, a cute reception lady she explained to me very patiently and dealt with late check-in and late check-out. Also, room was pretty with lake view. Lovely experience will do it again. Thanks Cindy as well.
