I appreciate that the hotel took note of my request for a room with a view. The breakfast spread is pretty good but the eel portion ran out too fast so we did not get to try it. This is common among jap hotels but we rarely get offered an early check in for free. This would make a difference as we took a red eye flight and was tired and would appreciate a room to freshen up.

Perfect location, just a few meters away from Nagoya Station JR and last bus stops/unloading (tours and outside Nagoya trips). Food stores are also available surrounding the hotel and BiC Camera is also located across the street. Entrance to the Underground shopping center can also be found near the hotel entrance. The room is relatively clean and the staff are courteous. Only stayed for one night but I will definitely book the hotel again if I return to Nagoya.

We stayed at Nagoya JR Gate Tower Hotel for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. The location is perfect—directly connected to Nagoya Station, with plenty of restaurants and shopping options all around, making it extremely convenient. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, providing a relaxing stay. Breakfast was great with a good variety of options to start the day. Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nagoya.

Lovely hotel, close to the Nagoya station. Access via Midland Square underground passage to avoid luggage heavy suitcase up flights of stairs. Room is small but clean and the hotel provides free amenities and pajamas. Hotel entrance is next to a Mister Donut shop and hotel is after Komehyo and Mitsui Garden hotel on the opposite side of the road. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. WiFi strong and if you stayed in a Sotetsu hotel before and logged in to the WiFi previously you get connected automatically.

An older hotel building that feels like it’s plucked right out of 1995. Service from staff was great. You can tell this place was once top of the line with older wooden furniture and chandeliers. But still a cozy stay. Room feels like it can be a bit dingy and dusty if that bothers you, but we’re okay with that.

The room has a spectacular view of the Nagoya skyline, with rooms located above 33 levels and above. Room service was immaculate and provided kids amenities such as slippers, toothbrushes, and pyjamas. Service staff were all friendly and always ready to help. Location wise, it's sheltered all the way from level 2 to subway, which is just 1 stop away from the busy Nagoya Station. For people who like a good morning workout, it's just a 15-minute walk to Nagoya. Along the way, you can grab Starbucks or McDonald's. The popular Komeda Coffee chain is also just a 5-minute stroll away. There is also a convenience shop like 7-11 within the same building as the hotel and a Drugstore Matsumoto for you to buy a wide assortment of skincare and makeup!

The hotel has an excellent location in the city center, very close to the subway entrance. The room is well-equipped, and new amenities (including pajamas) are provided daily. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and responsible, assisting me in resolving some travel-related issues — my sincere thanks to them !

I would say they tried their best to meet my requests (quiet, away from the lift, no corner room). I guess the definition of quiet is to each individual. I could hear water running next door from their toilet. My room was just beside the lift, but I did not hear any sound from the functioning doors though. My room was the second from one end, lol. But the whole experience was good. They have the necessary amenities, again to each individual. Their laundry I thought was cheap, I seldom do laundry overseas, but I decided to after I saw the price. 1kg and below is 400 yen, 3 kg and below was 500 yen. I washed 3 berms and 3 t-shirts that weighed around 1.5kg. The location was pretty good. Toyota rent a car is just beside if anyone plans to rent a car. Walk about 5mins you will reach Nagoya station that connect all those malls like Esca, midland etc. Food wise not many choices for me because I am a vegetarian. There are NATO, miso, rice, eggs, bread, and pancakes. That's about it for a vegetarian breakfast.

Stayed with BWH for nights. Pros: The location is great. Only approx. 5 minutes walk to Sakae Station. There are many restaurants to go to. Convenience shops like Lawson and 7 eleven are just across the road. The double room itself is spacious by Japanese standards (as in the photo). Cleanness is superior. The hotel does routine daily cleaning services including replacing slippers and towels, etc. Almost all amenities are provided at the reception. Must mention that many things like face cleansing gel are from Pola. Cons: The fridge makes clear noise (even when switched to level 1), so that I have to power off the fridge before sleeping. The soundproofing can be improved. I could hear laughter and natter from the next wall (their large voice did contribute though), especially when the night was very quiet. Another one is the small chair on the corner. It kept preventing me from accessing the window side of the bed. Should've chosen a better place to place it.

The front desk staff was polite and smiling, and even stepped out of the way to help my husband get into the parking lot. The room was modern and furnished. The water in the bathhouse was a comfortable temperature, though there was a slight bleach smell. I also recommend adding instructions for using the hot springs in the bath room. Many Southeast Asian women were constantly looking around in the bathhouse, seemingly unsure of how to use it.
