Visit Hokkaido with parents last week, I reserved the cross floor double bed room because of the separate toilet and bathroom . However , the room they offer is totally different with the photo . My parents really upset about it because that is the worst toilet they had never been in Japan . We will not reserve this hotel if we know that the toilet is not separate and not offer electronic toilet board. The room is clean , however , that is not our ideal type . Staff is kind however only one room can change. Location is fine, few restaurants nearby . My parents had bad experience with the hotel And they really don’t like the traditional toilet We don’t mind to pay more to enjoy better facilities Hope trip.com can upload more photo to provide more accruate hotel information

The hotel is strategically located near to metro station (walking distance) and yet it's not too near to the tourist spot as it will be too noisy at night. I can just walk an extra mile to reach the center of Hokkaido. There is also a beautiful park with children playground next to the hotel, and it looks amazing with snow! The part I don't get used to initially was I have to pass the key to the lobby whenever I leave the hotel (I didn't ask much on the reason, I just accustomed to the practice). So far, they have been very helpful too! You can choose not to housekeep your room and they will offer you a free drink for that! But I still need them to housekeep my room everyday because we need the cleaner to clean the dustbin with diapers and tidy up the messy room with kid. My experience was pretty good!

Super stay at this traditional onsen inn! It’s an easy 5 minutes walk from the tram stop and it is a peaceful and hospitable place to stay. We stayed for 2 nights with breakfast included (you have it in your room, the staff come to roll up your tatami 30 mins before - we just went to the onsen during this time) which was traditional Japanese style and delicious. The onsens are not too big but there are outdoor and indoor sections and perfectly adequate. The staff look after you warmly and we loved our experience of traditional Japanese culture here. Oh, and it’s near the Botanical Gardens where we saw monkeys bathing in the onsen.

It's an old onsen hotel refurbished. Renovation is classic, in 1980s style. Overall clean and tidy. Note there is no shower in room, only toilet and wash basin. You need to go to ground floor public bath for shower and onsen. There isn't many options in Shiraoi town for accommodation. (Understand there's smaller Airbnb type of places available but mostly in japanese language for booking) Probably this is a more generic hotel available.

Highly highly recommend This hotel exceeded our expectations Stayed in the premium corner room with private onsen and the view of Hell Valley, was guided to the room at check in and there was welcome dessert available in the fridge with free mini bar The private onsen was very good as we could relax in our own rooms while enjoying onsen We also checked out the main onsen which was very good as well Good dinner and breakfast Only regret is staying only for one night Will come back

My only regret is not booking the room for more days! ❤️ Pros: very close to the tram station; the room with the open air bath is spacious, clean, and sooo lovely; the public bath was clean; the staff were very nice, shoutout to Julie for explaining everything to us; the breakfast was good; i loved the little things: the charming yukatas, the snacks, the loose leaf tea, a lot of thought was put into it Cons: idk. only because im nitpicking but the hotel’s a bit old which adds to the whole vibe of the room we stayed in. 100/10… definitely coming back and seeing all the Hakodate spots we missed because of our short stay and staying here again

Everything about this hotel is up to my expectations except the male receptionist in the front desk during my check in really make my mood foul, that male receptionist is quite arrogant and unfriendly, it really tarnish the image of this hotel, since almost everything about this hotel is perfect but end up tarnish by an arrogant male receptionist in the frontdesk.

Fantastic City Center Stay with Relaxing Onsen My recent stay at this hotel was absolutely delightful. The location couldn’t be better – perfectly situated in the bustling city center, with major attractions, shopping areas, and public transportation just a short walk away. It made exploring the city effortless and convenient. The on-site hot spring was a real treat: clean, spacious, and with perfectly warm water that melted away all stress. Soaking there after a day out was pure bliss and true relaxation. The room was impeccably clean, modern, and comfortable, with quality bedding and all necessary amenities. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained. What impressed me most was the staff – everyone was genuinely polite, friendly, and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. This hotel offers the ideal mix of prime location, soothing facilities, spotless rooms, and warm hospitality. A wonderful experience I’d highly recommend!

We’ve enjoyed our stay at Mitsui Garden West. Their staff made us feel very welcomed, which we feel very appreciative of. Knowing we’re on our honeymoon, they very thoughtfully added well wishes on our room’s Tv screen, and even gifted us a Mitsui bear for the occasion 🤍🥹 The only part we thought could be improved was the laundry situation — there’s only 2 washer/dryers for the whole hotel, each located in the men and women’s bath. It would be great if more washers were available. Other than that, we have no complains and sincerely thank the amazing staff!
