"Cleanliness suffered because there was a sewage stench in the room. After the hotel rectification, there was still a faint smell. It became not noticeable after we switched off the bathroom ventilation. The hotel did call post rectification to check on the condition, hence I gave it a 5 for service."

"Perfect for Families - Spacious and Comfortable!
We stayed in the residence-type room and it was perfect for our family trip. The room was very big, giving everyone plenty of space, and it felt more like an apartment than a standard hotel room. It was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Mango Hotel for families looking for a spacious and convenient place to stay. Used automated check in and out service hence can’t realky review the service."

"I was surprised by the depth of cleanliness... the exhaust in the toilet looks sparkling clean. Usually, most hotels missed that spot. Staff are helpful even with the language barrier we got to communicate. Though the room's decor a bit dated, the important items such as air-conditioning and hairdryer are good (look new) I suppose if i really need to say something negative, it's the high step to get ibu the toilet/shower room. Though they did pit a handle at the door to help you get up n down the high step"

TTatianaK.From the bottom of my heart, I’d like to thank all staff of the hotel. My 11-old son and I stayed there for just one night, because we were on our way to visit gorgeous Toungenkyu hydrangeas park in the other town, so we chose to stay in Hyugashi, and that was definitely the right decision! I didn’t know that there was no public transportation assess to the park, because it’s located far upon to the mountains. But I never give up So, I decided to get to the park by hitchhiking! And one of kind managers of the hotel wrote the name of the park in Japanese characters on a big sheet of paper to be seen from far apart for drivers. Besides, he told us where it could be possible to stop a car. So we did it! First, we went to the nearest town by train, and tried the hitching there. There was a nice lady who took us to the park and back to Hyugashi, we were so grateful to her!!! The local people were kind to us everywhere whenever it was a restaurant or a station. We will never forget the kindness of the local people!!!
We liked that izakaya on the first floor in the building. Moreover, we liked that nice quiet town Hyugashi because of its people! We wish you all the best!!!

MMisafir KullanıcıAmazing location with spectacular view of aoshima. 3 mins walk to the beach, 10 mins to aoshima shrine. Bus stop to sun messe and udo shrine is right outside of the hostel. Value for money. Very good customer service. Gave guest a room tour on arrival. Female dormitory available with a separate key to lock the door and guest can use their locker. Feel very safe and secure. All the facilities are very clean and well maintained. The hostel also comes with onsen at 700 yen per admission. This is not related to the hostel but a tips for travelling. Dinner is tricky at Aoshima because almost all restaurants would require reservation. Book early.

MMei OFriendly staff and clean lodging.
We booked half board which was worthwhile as the food quality was great and especially when restaurants close early within the area, saved us looking for dinner. However, there are a few time slots we need to abide to, which is fine as attractions usually are closed by late afternoon anyway.
There is onsen in this accommodation, but it's not big. Enclosed onsen with no external views, and the water has some medical component added thus making the water reddish which may deter guests not accustomed to the color.
The Ryokan location is convenient for walking to a few attractions (for those who enjoy walking about 15-30mins to either attraction), which include Takachiho Kagura performance (pre-booking required), Takachiho Gorge, Takachiho Amaterasu Railway - scenic train ride.
Do note the train rides cannot be pre-booked, and end by 3PM in the afternoon.
And Takachiho Gorge Boat Rental should be pre-booked, with time slot bookings open 7 days before.

Definitely an outdated hotel and could do with a renovation, however the room was definitely very large for Japanese standards so the was a plus!(superior queen). If self driving there is a multistory carpark right behind hotel so that’s also a plus.

MMoon RockThis is the best decision I’ve made during my trip in Miyazaki. I should have stayed longer here than I did in the previous booking. Almost everything is almost perfect, from the artificial hot spring to the traditional Japanese bedrooms, which are great additions to the Japanese experience. I believe it is one of the most affordable hotels in the area.
The breakfast is a buffet that is included in my stay, and I had to add the Dinner buffet, which is very worth the price since the place doesn't have many restaurants nearby. The hotel is also within a 5-10 minute walk from the JR train station. The staff are also friendly.
I definitely will be back here when I revisit Miyazaki soon. The day I visited was rainy, so I was unable to visit many places.

AAnonim KullanıcıMiyazaki is a small city so getting around is not difficult if you stay in this hotel. There is a few local buses to the hotel from the JR Miyazaki station. Within walking distance of 10min you can find almost everything from shopping to izakaya. The best part I like is the sauna and hot spring. It has outdoor and indoor hot spring baths and sauna. Amenities in the public bath is complete with lotion, tonic, hair gel, shaving form and even towel is provided so you don't need to bring your own. Overall, a great hotel.

MMisafir Kullanıcı這是我住過最好的日式酒店了，很新。服務態度非常贊、服務人員一直等在停車場、下車準確的叫出你的名字。確認幫忙搬運行李。checkin以後帶你完整的介紹房間。房間很大。而且很有設計感，應該是有名的設計師設計過的，空調都很好的隱藏起來。對標國內的設計師酒店。在國內這個級別的酒店會他們還貴。所以2000-3000一晚物有所值。更絕的是最後一張圖一定要去吃當地的宮崎牛、口感和我神户吃的牛肉一摸一樣。但是神户牛我吃了5000，這邊就花了500十分之一的價格、一樣的品質。吃一頓就把酒店錢賺回來了！！地址就在我截圖的google地圖上

MMisafir KullanıcıThe location is far from Miyazaki Station. It takes about 20 minutes on foot. If you need to take a bus to several sightseeing places, it is available nearby. The price includes breakfast but it only consists of two rice balls and miso soup. The room is spacious and new . There are many restaurants to choose from in the surrounding area.
However, the air conditioner is noisy and does not function well. Amenities in the room must be collected from the reception even basic items like a toothbrush, comb, sleepwear, and mineral water are not provided in the room.
