"This hotel has very old features but inside the rooms are big spacious and warm The bed although a double was twin beds pushed together which is very annoying as you slide into The middle of the bed and it’s uncomfy. The receptionist was extremely unhelpful and had no empathy I had to walk back and forth from my room 3 times to sort out an issue and then the spa was another issue which finally got resolved So basically it’s a lovely hotel but the staff need to be retrained or understand customers better and the duty manager who was on duty too."

"In my opinion It’s a basic b&b at best it’s a 3* Lots of coaches come here so pretty busy. Be aware even if your itinerary says parking that does not mean it’s been paid. It’s an additional £3 Also I didn’t get the lady’s name at reception who booked us in but she was pretty blunt and rude. The rest of the staff throughout was fantastic."

"We stayed over for a night - late check in and out. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. We have 2 children, a 4 years old and a 5 months old. We arrived quite late and so were the last table in the restaurant for dinner as well as the last to join the breakfast. However, the staff made sure we have all we needed and tried their best to help us. Impressive service and a pleasant stay. We will definitely come back to this hotel in the next visit to Lancaster."

But the bed was so noisy and squeaky even with the slightest movement. All the other furnitures were very old, no charging or plug points beside the bed. If not for location, because the beach is quiet in front of the hotel, i wouldn’t have even considered it ever again. One good thing about it was the swimming pool, it was very clean but the changing rooms could have been much better. I have booked through Trip.com previously, so I know it has nothing to do with internet or 3rd party booking, it is just a very old hotel. And the pictures are quite deceiving."

The hotel and entrance are great, no complaints there. I’ve been a regular at another hotel within 5 miles of here, where the facilities are immaculate and the rooms are always meticulously clean. So I had high expectations. On walking into my room (250), it was freezing. I immediately turned on the electric radiator, but was woken up at 2am by the thermostat flicking on and off repeatedly. The digital screen kept lighting up and going off it felt like there was a rave in my room. Highly annoying and not conducive to a good night’s sleep. Before bed, I went for a shower and splashed foamy suds around as you do. After finishing, I was washing down the inside of the shower cubicle and noticed what I thought were leftover soap suds near the door handle. I went to wipe them off and I can tell you now, they were not soap suds. Absolutely disgusting. The previous occupant clearly lacked basic hygiene, and although it shouldn’t be expected, the cleaners really need to have a keener eye for detail. This sort of thing should never be missed. We walked the grounds and they were lovely and very well looked after.The Spa and pool were excellent. Hotel staff, facilities, food, swimming pools and entertainment were brilliant. Everything was presented really nicely in the foyer/reception area. The bedroom and carpets were really tired, however, and need a revamp to match the quality hotel foyer. We found the mattresses uncomfortably soft and didn't sleep well, so assume these were old too. A really mixed experience, but on balance the positive outweighed the negatives. The staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful. Highly recommend getting tram passes on app. before you arrive as need proof of children's DOB from passport or birth certificate. The tram stop is really conveniently opposite the hotel. Excellent reliable service :-)

Great hotel that is very conveniently located to the M6. Room was good, slightly dated but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good - very big spread and variety. Access to health club was a plus. Staff friendly and attentive.

We stayed over for a night - late check in and out. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. We have 2 children, a 4 years old and a 5 months old. We arrived quite late and so were the last table in the restaurant for dinner as well as the last to join the breakfast. However, the staff made sure we have all we needed and tried their best to help us. Impressive service and a pleasant stay. We will definitely come back to this hotel in the next visit to Lancaster.
