The service is consistently warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive, with staff eager to share local knowledge and assist with arrangements. Dining is a highlight. The open-air restaurant offers refined Burmese and international dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients and presented with flair. Breakfast under the wide verandas, with tropical birdsong in the background, is especially memorable. Afternoon cocktails by the pool or an evening meal by candlelight evoke the romantic grandeur of a bygone era. What sets the Governor’s Residence apart is its atmosphere: it is not simply a hotel but a living reminder of Yangon’s colonial past, reimagined with comfort and grace. Mercure Hotel has always been a second to me and my partner. We’d stay here with friends and we even booked them during our wedding day. On our recent stay, it was so nice to be back with my baby and parents. Staff always welcomes us and serve us with smiles. Another thing I like about this hotel is their continuous commitment to improvement, and live and care to Mother Earth. They started eliminating single-use plastics and now uses sustainable packagings and items. I highly recommend Mercure Hitel!

Мы бронировали этот отель ради раннего отъезда в аэропорт. Были меньше суток, но впечатление осталось самое хорошее. Очень благодарны , что нам перенесли завтрак, которым мы не могли воспользоваться в день отъезда, на утро нашего вселения в отель. Завтрак был очень вкусный , а очень уставшие после ночного переезда и совсем не хотелось идти искать другое кафе. Персонал был очень любезен и помогал во всём. Вай-фай в отеле слабоват, как и по всей Мьянме. Чайника в номере нет, по первой просьбе давали термос с горячей водой. Душ норм, номер просторный. При отеле есть кафе, где можно пообедать или поужинать. Цены умеренные. Мы остались довольны соотношением цены и качества. Добротный трёхзвёздочный отель. Рекомендую.

Walkable distance from Aung Mingalar Bus Terminal, easy access by taxi or car. Breakfast is just basic kind but nice. The room seemed not so well maintained as many parts were damaged and the air conditioner is noisy and had a few mosquitos in the room. 

The staff were very accommodating, from the receptionists to housekeeping💙 I stayed here for only one day as I extended my trip by a day. Don’t expect too much from the amenities, as the hotel is half the price of others with similar facilities—which is why it’s a good option😊 The breakfast buffet had limited options but was still decent —- They have a section where you can ask a staff member to cook an egg/omelet for you, but I didn’t explore the other options (breakfast starts at 6:30 AM, which is great if you have early morning plans, as it gets really hot once the sun rises during this month)…. The hotel has a gym, sauna, and pool. The room includes a TV, kettle, hairdryer, toiletries, and complimentary water and coffee….. The only downside was that hot water is not available 24 hours during my stay…. According to the receptionist, hot water is available only during specific hours to adhere to electricity conservation, if I’m not mistaken.. (if I’m not mistaken, starting from 9 AM, but I’m not sure until when) as they have I only realized this when I was about to shower around 8:30 PM and found that only cold water was available. I called the receptionist, and they sent housekeeping to assist…. I’m not sure if it’s a temporary thing only so if you’re concern with this, you can message them first… It’s still a good place to stay, even if it’s a bit far from the tourist spots, as Grab is available at a very reasonable price for getting to the places you want to visit.

É uma verdadeira viagem no tempo, um encantamento que te leva a um navio do ano de 1920. Vários detalhes originais, como relógio, o frigobar dentro de um barril, a caixa de som bluetooth que imita uma vitrola, todos os móveis em couro. Os funcionários são extremamente simpáticos e acolhedores. Eu super recomendo, sem dúvida, foi uma linda experiência. Um único ponto da localização é à noite, pois existe uma feira noturna que não parece tão segura e, apesar de vintage, alguns pequenos detalhes faltam manutenção como o carpete do quarto, por exemplos

It was only a short stay, but it was very comfortable and quite near to the airport. I particularly enjoyed the vibes - it looked straight out of a movie! The staff were all helpful, they even packed our breakfast since our flight was early. You can also immersed in the experience of trying traditional tanaka (face cream) at the lobby.
