"We had a pleasant stay at Amanek Beppu. The lobby is bright and welcoming, giving a great first impression. The hotel provides free bottles of water, which was a nice touch and very convenient during my stay. Our room was comfortable and well-kept, making it easy to relax after a long day. Parking is available nearby for a reasonable fee, so it was convenient even for those traveling by car. Overall, Amanek Beppu offers comfort, convenience, and good value. We would happily stay here again."

The room was spacious and tastefully decorated in traditional Japanese style, blending modern comforts with authentic charm. The private onsen attached to my room was a highlight, allowing me to unwind in soothing hot springs while taking in the picturesque views. What truly sets Kannawaen apart is the attention to detail and personalized service. The staff went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect, making me feel truly cared for throughout my stay. If you’re looking for a luxurious, tranquil getaway with impeccable service and a true Japanese experience, I highly recommend Kannawaen Sanso Ryokan. It’s a place we would love to visit again. "Location is near Beppu station. Car parking was next to it, controlled by lift. Meaning park and the car was lifted in a building. Charged per daily and could retrieve car anytime. 7 private Onsen rooms, need to queue to use during evening. One or 2 was empty during afternoon. Complimentary ramen in soya sauce broth from 10-11pm, if missed it, take the house brand instant noodle cup from reception. Remember to take the complimentary Yakult from 6-10am. Coffee and matcha machine in lobby. Remove shoes at lobby and roll luggages over a wet mat. Bare foot or socks provided throughout hotel, even at restaurant. Didn’t try the breakfast and dinner. Typical Japanese hard mattress and pillows. Good for families or friends up to 4 per room."

"I booked another room for the rest of my family members. They could fully open three suitcases with sufficient space to move around and put the souvenirs they bought. A private onsen is available in the room, which is a super plus point. Breakfast options are a bit limited, but the food is nice. The closest convenience store is located a 4-minute drive away. Highly recommended if you are planning a restful and enjoyable trip!"

"We selected a Japanese style tatami room which was nice a spacious. However, most if the room looks old and very dated. Clock kept making ticking noise that made it hard to sleep but hotel staff was very kind and quick to remove it when we requested. Hotel was very crowded and full of children so the hot spring bath was also very crowded and noisy at times. It was very nice for the hotel to provide free snacks and beverages until late at night. It's a very family hotel and the view is excellent. It's actually in Hiji about 20 mins from Beppu centre. Breakfast is very good. We enjoyed our stay but the rooms can go for a round of uplift to not look dated."

"The room is spacious and clean. I love the onsen there. Amenities is available on first floor. They even provide a bag for guests to carry their stuff to the onsen, not a lot of hotel have that. The location is great, walkable to the shopping mall and Lawson is just opposite. The parking is free as well. That’s a huge plus if you are doing road trip."

"This hotel is very convenient if you are taking bus from Hakata Bus Terminal. It stopped right in front of the hotel. Inside the hotel, it has tourist information counter where tourists can buy bus pass etc. Room and toilet are small and is common in Japan, but they are clean and stay is comfortable.They have 1 indoor and outdoor onsen. Opposite the hotel is a departmental store and is 10 mins walk to Beppu train station. Beppu tower is just a short distance walk from hotel. If you are taking a bus to Yifuin, bus stop 1 is just nearby, opposite direction of hotel. I will recommend this hotel if you are coming to Beppu."

The food is incredibly tasty, the service is excellent, and the rooms are spotless. There are various private hot springs available for guests. Overall, it’s a great experience.

Beppu Hostel U&T is outstanding in many areas of the hospitality industry. The premise is squeaky clean, the Japanese style beds were comfy & snug. The staff were helpful, courteous & we noted went about their chores unintrusively. The coin-operated washing machines & driers were easy to operate. We were pleasantly surprised by the peaceful atmosphere in the common area & astonishing array of beverages provided free for guests. We liked it's central location just across from Beppu Tower & short walking distance to stores & cafes. Highly recommended!

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, probably because it’s very new. I was extremely satisfied with all the facilities in my room. The space was great, and having a kitchen and a washing machine was a huge plus. There’s also a rooftop onsen available for guests, which I really enjoyed. I absolutely loved the free welcome drinks at the entrance I honestly wish I could take the machine home! Overall, the stay was very comfortable. If I were to give one suggestion, it would be to improve the privacy of the onsen slightly, as it’s still possible to see inside from the entrance, which may cause some privacy concerns.

The room and the Onsen were EXACTLY like those in the listing and were absolutely stunning! The breakfast was delicious and the range more than adequate. The location is good if you drive but is about 1km walk to Beppu Tower and a bit more from the night street. But I’d happily trade that for the spacious room and the wonderful sea and sunrise view.

Awesome Seaview directly from large windows inside room. Can sit by the window and watch sunrise and sunset. Breakfast and dinner are delicious. Highly recommend.

Hotel facilities at big building is good. Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to use the hot spring (main reason to choose this hotel) because there was drunk guest throw up inside men room and no one came to clean. Bed sheet has water stain on the outside so could be bothering for someone.

good value for money! would definitely stay again location: it's relatively further from the station , around a 8-10min walk. there is a 7-11 just around the corner room: my room came without a bathroom but for the ladies are 3 cubicles shared among the 7 mix gendered guests on the floor. i did not have to wait in line at all. there was more than enough space in the room to open my suitcase wide and still feel comfortable. bed and pillow was a bit hard though, and you can hear anyone talking loudly downstairs outside the building as the room is on 2nd floor, tho that doesnt happen very often. food: amazing balanced breakfast that changes everyday - really delicious! onsen: the one on 2F was smaller than 1F, but very good and comfortable. clean too. you can book a private onsen room for 500yen (50mins) staff: all of them were super friendly, helpful and made me feel welcome. there are english-proficient staff available 24H as well :)

It’s almost a distance to Beppu tourist attractions, especially the Beppu tower and Beppu JR stations. The hostel is also located near the port area, where you can relax and take a break. The hostel also has a cafe, a spacious kitchen, and an artificial hot spring. Although some amenities are not included, you have to purchase them at the front desk, the accommodation cost is relatively cheap, so that’s okay. It's a good thing I have my own towels and other amenities. I will definitely be back here when I return.

Superb location opposite the station, and kind friendly staff. The bathroom was rather dirty, which was really discomforting but overall I am happy with the convenience of the hotel.
