"Hotel not in busy city area but very convenient; Shopping mall & metro station is at next door. Overall Staff is attentive. They are not doing any fancy such room upgrade, big smile greeting or give out some souvenir. But I can feel some staff are very mindful such as women staff at gym, repair staff sent to my room to fix air conditioning problem; 2 thumps up for their truly service mind. Amenities is old style but I like most for baht tub & washing machine in room."

"Upon entering the hotel, I was greeted by a bright, welcoming smile. The check-in process was swift, and the staff kindly introduced me to the hotel facilities. They even unfolded a map to provide a detailed guide to Dalian’s highlights and the surroundings of the hotel. Politeness and warmth are truly at the heart of their service here. Guests need not feel uneasy in this unfamiliar city—the care they receive makes all the difference. While the InterContinental brand lives up to its renowned reputation, it is truly the active dedication of the hotel staff that brings it to life. At the front desk, Grace Zhao left a bright and wonderful first impression of the hotel, and her kindness made me forget I was in a new place. The next day, Lily Xia kindly introduced me to the excellent breakfast and local Dalian specialties, offering me the chance to truly savor them—she is one of those who showed me what the ”Dalian smile” and genuine warmth are all about. As I finished breakfast, the cup of warm coffee she offered felt like more than just a drink—it was a gentle gesture, as if to say, ”We won’t let you leave empty-handed or without a fond memory.” Personally, I feel that InterContinental Hotel truly has many wonderful people working here. It is also evident that the hotel invests actively and continuously in staff training. Located in the heart of Dalian, InterContinental Dalian enjoys an excellent geographical advantage, making it convenient and quick to get anywhere. The amenities here leave nothing to be desired—during my visit on a cold day, I enjoyed the spa and fitness facilities, which were thoroughly satisfying. The dining options are also diverse, catering to different tastes and offering delightful culinary experiences. Moreover, the room facilities, cleanliness, and the prompt, kind service from all the staff are advantages not easily found elsewhere in the area. As someone who travels frequently to this region for work, I can say with confidence: if asked about this hotel’s greatest strength, I would not hesitate to say it is the remarkable harmony of its people, location, and facilities. I can genuinely say I have no regrets about leaving this review under my real name. If you wish to fully enjoy Dalian’s scenery, flavors, and people, this hotel is the wisest choice. Especially friends like Grace and Lily will leave you with the most beautiful memories of Dalian. "⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This hotel is absolutely perfect, truly my forever stay in Dalian. When you request a non-smoking room, it really means zero cigarette smell, which is rare and so appreciated. The room was spotlessly clean and felt fresh and comfortable from the moment we entered. The view is breathtaking, spectacular, and mesmerizing , you can see Venice Water City and the ocean at the same time. Watching both sunrise and sunset from the room was unforgettable. The whole building smells good and feels luxurious and elegant. The woman who came to help us was incredibly kind, welcoming, and spoke excellent English, which made everything so easy. The room is fully equipped with everything you need: toiletries, slippers, clothes hangers, washing machine, fridge ….literally like an apartment. The bed is super comfortable and perfectly clean. This is my second stay here, and it will definitely be my forever choice whenever I come to Dalian. Highly recommended! 💙"

"We stayed at Novotel Dalian Zhongshan as a family, and chose it largely because it’s a newly opened hotel (2025). While the location felt slightly less central than we expected, it was hardly a drawback—taxi fares are very affordable, making it easy to get around. Having a convenience store on the first floor was also a real advantage, especially for families. The room itself was immaculately clean, exceptionally spacious, and paired with a beautiful view, it made for a very comfortable stay. We were also genuinely pleased with the fruit and beverage service, which felt thoughtful and welcoming. One more highlight: the delivery robot was fascinating—no matter how many times we saw it, it still felt surprisingly cool and memorable! Overall, a modern, well-maintained hotel that we’d happily recommend to families seeking comfort and a touch of something new."

"Overall a good place with a bright design. Location is about 20-25 minutes walking from the train station or 15 minutes from the metro station with a direct link to the airport. It is foreigner friendly, since the friendly staff knows some English or tries to communicate via online translator. The bed was very comfortable, Aircon worked for cooling, WiFi was fast. Two minor flaws: drainage in the shower didn't work well and there was some weird smell in the room when I arrived, but nothing too serious. The breakfast is not a buffet. You'll be served a tray with some food as shown on photo. If you like chicken feet and a prawn in rice porridge for breakfast, you'll love it :) On the flip side, they push you hard to leave them a 5* review when you check out. They even have a special manual for that in several languages. This spoils the overall good impression. In any case, I can recommend this place."

"We were travelling as a famliy of four with two boys. We chose the hotel because of reviews and great location. Locations is outstanding, a lot of places to eat nearby, german restaurant on B1 floor, several big shopping malls in walking distance (don't make our mistake, there are TWO big supermarkets in those buildings, one in Mykal, the better and bigger one in the building in front of it). In shopping malls there are restaurants and food courts which is convenient. For us it's been useful because my younger boy is quite selective in food preferences. Hotel personnel had been nice and helpful, not a single issue with them. In the hotel there is swimming pool and some bathing area with smaller pools at different temperature. A great place to attend after long-long day in Dalian. Food selection for breakfast is also quite nice. What issues we had during our stay: Aircon had been barely working. Definitely insufficient for four people in one room, it was too warm to sleep, we had to keep window open at night to try to make it to comfortable temperature. Mosqiutos were terrible, it was suprise that insects made it to 18th floor, but I believe they got in through aircon system. In-room refrigerator had been terrible and not cooling anything. It would probably be similar if there was no refrigerator at all. Overall great place to stay."

"We lived at this hotel in their apartments in 2001/2002, and it was interesting to come back and visit. It is perfectly located in the city and the staff are wonderful. The rooms are now older but have great views and are clean, tidy, and spacious. The breakfast buffet is extensive - Chinese, Japanese, and Western options. There's an excellent hot pot restaurant across the road!"
