"I extend my stay there for another day due to the hotel is affordable, comfortable and near Metro. I accidentally left my wallet in the hotel room and tough that no room cleaning will be done. I when out in the morning and back in the night and notice that my room has been clean. I was worried about my cash in the wallet that have around $700 and my cards which I did not place into the safety box when missing . After check not even a single thing or $ missing. Thanks to all the staff which is able to guide and recommend us place to visit. Will back to this hotel when my next visit 🫡"

"Overall a good place with a bright design. Location is about 20-25 minutes walking from the train station or 15 minutes from the metro station with a direct link to the airport. It is foreigner friendly, since the friendly staff knows some English or tries to communicate via online translator. The bed was very comfortable, Aircon worked for cooling, WiFi was fast. Two minor flaws: drainage in the shower didn't work well and there was some weird smell in the room when I arrived, but nothing too serious. The breakfast is not a buffet. You'll be served a tray with some food as shown on photo. If you like chicken feet and a prawn in rice porridge for breakfast, you'll love it :)
On the flip side, they push you hard to leave them a 5* review when you check out. They even have a special manual for that in several languages. This spoils the overall good impression.
In any case, I can recommend this place."

This hotel is absolutely perfect, truly my forever stay in Dalian.
When you request a non-smoking room, it really means zero cigarette smell, which is rare and so appreciated. The room was spotlessly clean and felt fresh and comfortable from the moment we entered.
The view is breathtaking, spectacular, and mesmerizing , you can see Venice Water City and the ocean at the same time. Watching both sunrise and sunset from the room was unforgettable.
The whole building smells good and feels luxurious and elegant. The woman who came to help us was incredibly kind, welcoming, and spoke excellent English, which made everything so easy.
The room is fully equipped with everything you need: toiletries, slippers, clothes hangers, washing machine, fridge ….literally like an apartment. The bed is super comfortable and perfectly clean.
This is my second stay here, and it will definitely be my forever choice whenever I come to Dalian. Highly recommended! 💙"

"We lived at this hotel in their apartments in 2001/2002, and it was interesting to come back and visit. It is perfectly located in the city and the staff are wonderful. The rooms are now older but have great views and are clean, tidy, and spacious. The breakfast buffet is extensive - Chinese, Japanese, and Western options. There's an excellent hot pot restaurant across the road!"

"Such an amazing place. Near to metro station and venice city. Opposite the establishment are a lot of restaurants and street food plus our favourite icecream shop. We arrived really early and the got our room ready by 9:00 in the morning instead of thr normal check in time. Big room, amazing views plus free washing machine and fridge. They guve free drinking water whenever you ask and the wi-fi is fast. Very secure place and friendly reception. You get to scan their wechat account and anything you need is delivered once you ask before 4:00 evening. I must stay me and my friends had an amazing stay and we stored our luggage and went for a stroll in tiwn and everythying was ok.. i higly recommend this place for stays in Dalian"

"We had a short but very pleasant stay. The staff was supper attentive to the customers, the room was nice and did not smell of smoke, very comfortable mattress and silent aircon. Despite the window facing a shop lot by the main street, it was very quiet with no road noises. Strong water pressure in the shower, and also clean. The breakfast was typical Chinese menu, decent. All in all, it's a budget hotel and they keep a good standard of service."

1. The hotel is located right smack in the middle of action. There was a street food next door, with McD, Pizza Hut and KFC all within 05 mins of walking. There was a mall with a Walmart hypermarket at the underground level nearby. It is convenient for those who stayed more than a few nights and needed to provision for work in Dalian.
2. There is a university nearby, plus a hill overlooking the Dalian city which you can conveniently walk/jog up to in the morning/evening.
3, The room is sufficiently well spaced, the bed and pillows are comfy, the lights are decently illuminant, the shower water pressure strong and the temperature hot when you need it ; the room is well decorated, there is enough work space on the table, there is a fridge ; the basin, the toilet bowl, and the shower room are independent of each other. In other words, a well thought out room layout. The lighting control is well calibrated, the central air conditioning is quiet, there is a special pop-out plug points on the table for laptops and phone charging.
4. The breakfast is good, a bit of every kind, mainly Chinese dish but some Western oriented salad style vege/fruits for those who need it. Milk is available (not something to be taken for granted in China as milk is not commonly available)
5. There is a free laundry room for use, the detergent and softener are provided free-of-charge ; iron and iron board is available as well.
6. The hotel service is tightly run by its Manager who ensure the staff are always tending as soon as possible to the customers. A special thanks to reception staff 孙晓辉 for patiently helping out with China-specific app for about 30 mins.

TTokkiiiWe stayed at Atour Hotel Dalian Dongguan Street (大连市政府东关街亚朵酒店) during our first trip to mainland China, and honestly, this place was one of the highlights of our whole visit.
Right at check-in we were kindly upgraded to a suite, and the staff asked if we could leave a review — after staying here, that was an easy and enthusiastic yes.
Where do I even start?
The room was immaculately clean, super quiet, and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was impressive with strong water pressure and top-notch amenities — everything felt fresh and high quality. We had zero issues with housekeeping — everything was always perfect.
The staff were some of the friendliest we’ve met in China. Their English wasn’t perfect, but they tried so hard to help with whatever we needed, always with a smile and patience. That honest effort made a big difference.
Location is another major plus. This hotel is right by Dongguan Street, which means you’re walking distance to tons of restaurants, shops, and attractions. Pavilion Mall is super close too, and the airport is easy to get to — really convenient for arrivals and departures.
One small thing — the subway station is a bit of a walk, but the tram stop is very close, so getting around was still easy.
We didn’t try the breakfast since it wasn’t included, but honestly, everything else was so good that we really don’t even care.
To all travelers — especially Korean and Western visitors who might skip Dalian thinking it’s “not worth it” or don’t see many foreigners here — do yourself a favor and stay here.
This was hands-down one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had anywhere.
If we come back to Dalian, we will 100% stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommended.

Kalmadan önce sürekli Kale Otel'in tesislerinin eski olduğuna ve listenin başındaki diğer oteller kadar iyi olmadığına dair yorumlar görüyordum. Ancak giriş yaptığımda, tesislerin aslında ***et iyi bakıldığını ve endişelenmeye gerek olmadığını fark ettim. Odaların dekorasyonu ve tasarımı özenle hazırlanmış; Avrupa şatosu tarzında, kaba veya görgüsüz zengin tarzında değil.

RRojaeWe stayed at Novotel Dalian Zhongshan as a family, and chose it largely because it’s a newly opened hotel (2025).
While the location felt slightly less central than we expected, it was hardly a drawback—taxi fares are very affordable, making it easy to get around. Having a convenience store on the first floor was also a real advantage, especially for families.
The room itself was immaculately clean, exceptionally spacious, and paired with a beautiful view, it made for a very comfortable stay. We were also genuinely pleased with the fruit and beverage service, which felt thoughtful and welcoming.
One more highlight: the delivery robot was fascinating—no matter how many times we saw it, it still felt surprisingly cool and memorable!
Overall, a modern, well-maintained hotel that we’d happily recommend to families seeking comfort and a touch of something new.

KK LacsOcean loft is an apartment. Not a hotel. The location is perfect for tourist.and the view from the window is beautiful. But i would say the cleanliness isnt good. The toilet smells. KKalim’s worldUpon entering the hotel, I was greeted by a bright, welcoming smile. The check-in process was swift, and the staff kindly introduced me to the hotel facilities. They even unfolded a map to provide a detailed guide to Dalian’s highlights and the surroundings of the hotel. Politeness and warmth are truly at the heart of their service here. Guests need not feel uneasy in this unfamiliar city—the care they receive makes all the difference.
While the InterContinental brand lives up to its renowned reputation, it is truly the active dedication of the hotel staff that brings it to life. At the front desk, Grace Zhao left a bright and wonderful first impression of the hotel, and her kindness made me forget I was in a new place. The next day, Lily Xia kindly introduced me to the excellent breakfast and local Dalian specialties, offering me the chance to truly savor them—she is one of those who showed me what the ”Dalian smile” and genuine warmth are all about. As I finished breakfast, the cup of warm coffee she offered felt like more than just a drink—it was a gentle gesture, as if to say, ”We won’t let you leave empty-handed or without a fond memory.”
Personally, I feel that InterContinental Hotel truly has many wonderful people working here. It is also evident that the hotel invests actively and continuously in staff training. Located in the heart of Dalian, InterContinental Dalian enjoys an excellent geographical advantage, making it convenient and quick to get anywhere. The amenities here leave nothing to be desired—during my visit on a cold day, I enjoyed the spa and fitness facilities, which were thoroughly satisfying. The dining options are also diverse, catering to different tastes and offering delightful culinary experiences. Moreover, the room facilities, cleanliness, and the prompt, kind service from all the staff are advantages not easily found elsewhere in the area. As someone who travels frequently to this region for work, I can say with confidence: if asked about this hotel’s greatest strength, I would not hesitate to say it is the remarkable harmony of its people, location, and facilities.
I can genuinely say I have no regrets about leaving this review under my real name. If you wish to fully enjoy Dalian’s scenery, flavors, and people, this hotel is the wisest choice. The room was good, there's even a washing machine (didn't use it though). The staff was kind and helpful. Perhaps the only problem was that the room card didn't work, so I had to get a password, which also expired daily at midnight, and I had to contact the reception to get a new one. But that's not how it's supposed to be, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Overall, a great option.
