"Overall a good place with a bright design. Location is about 20-25 minutes walking from the train station or 15 minutes from the metro station with a direct link to the airport. It is foreigner friendly, since the friendly staff knows some English or tries to communicate via online translator. The bed was very comfortable, Aircon worked for cooling, WiFi was fast. Two minor flaws: drainage in the shower didn't work well and there was some weird smell in the room when I arrived, but nothing too serious. The breakfast is not a buffet. You'll be served a tray with some food as shown on photo. If you like chicken feet and a prawn in rice porridge for breakfast, you'll love it :) On the flip side, they push you hard to leave them a 5* review when you check out. They even have a special manual for that in several languages. This spoils the overall good impression. In any case, I can recommend this place."

They even unfolded a map to provide a detailed guide to Dalian’s highlights and the surroundings of the hotel. Politeness and warmth are truly at the heart of their service here. Guests need not feel uneasy in this unfamiliar city—the care they receive makes all the difference. While the InterContinental brand lives up to its renowned reputation, it is truly the active dedication of the hotel staff that brings it to life. At the front desk, Grace Zhao left a bright and wonderful first impression of the hotel, and her kindness made me forget I was in a new place. The next day, Lily Xia kindly introduced me to the excellent breakfast and local Dalian specialties, offering me the chance to truly savor them—she is one of those who showed me what the ”Dalian smile” and genuine warmth are all about. As I finished breakfast, the cup of warm coffee she offered felt like more than just a drink—it was a gentle gesture, as if to say, ”We won’t let you leave empty-handed or without a fond memory.” Personally, I feel that InterContinental Hotel truly has many wonderful people working here. It is also evident that the hotel invests actively and continuously in staff training. Located in the heart of Dalian, InterContinental Dalian enjoys an excellent geographical advantage, making it convenient and quick to get anywhere. The amenities here leave nothing to be desired—during my visit on a cold day, I enjoyed the spa and fitness facilities, which were thoroughly satisfying. The dining options are also diverse, catering to different tastes and offering delightful culinary experiences. Moreover, the room facilities, cleanliness, and the prompt, kind service from all the staff are advantages not easily found elsewhere in the area. As someone who travels frequently to this region for work, I can say with confidence: if asked about this hotel’s greatest strength, I would not hesitate to say it is the remarkable harmony of its people, location, and facilities. I can genuinely say I have no regrets about leaving this review under my real name. If you wish to fully enjoy Dalian’s scenery, flavors, and people, this hotel is the wisest choice. Especially friends like Grace and Lily will leave you with the most beautiful memories of Dalian. "We stayed at Novotel Dalian Zhongshan as a family, and chose it largely because it’s a newly opened hotel (2025). While the location felt slightly less central than we expected, it was hardly a drawback—taxi fares are very affordable, making it easy to get around. Having a convenience store on the first floor was also a real advantage, especially for families. The room itself was immaculately clean, exceptionally spacious, and paired with a beautiful view, it made for a very comfortable stay. We were also genuinely pleased with the fruit and beverage service, which felt thoughtful and welcoming. One more highlight: the delivery robot was fascinating—no matter how many times we saw it, it still felt surprisingly cool and memorable! Overall, a modern, well-maintained hotel that we’d happily recommend to families seeking comfort and a touch of something new."

"I extend my stay there for another day due to the hotel is affordable, comfortable and near Metro. I accidentally left my wallet in the hotel room and tough that no room cleaning will be done. I when out in the morning and back in the night and notice that my room has been clean. I was worried about my cash in the wallet that have around $700 and my cards which I did not place into the safety box when missing . After check not even a single thing or $ missing. Thanks to all the staff which is able to guide and recommend us place to visit. Will back to this hotel when my next visit 🫡"

"We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Staffs is friendly and helpful. Hotel room is clean and new , provide laundry service and free supper from 9.30pm to 11pm and this is a surprise to us especially during cold weather also we have an old folk with us so we enjoyed it a lot. Quite a lot of eateries nearby, small shops to buy some groceries. Definitely will be back again. Thank you 😊"

"I recently stayed at Ibis Hotel Dalian and had an excellent stay. Check-in was efficient, allowing me to begin exploring without delay. The duplex room featured a stylish downstairs living area and a cozy loft; the loft was slightly warm but the air-conditioning corrected it quickly. The room was spotless and well-maintained, with comfortable furnishings. Located near Zhongshan Square, it offered easy access to attractions, restaurants, shopping, and night markets. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly. Five stars!"

"Oh this is a great hotel, clean rooms comfortable bedding and individual controls for the air conditioning. Rooms are spacious Water pressure great Plenty of hot water Staff super friendly Laundry Room in the basement Lots of great food options within 5 minutes walk from the hotel Subway 5 minutes walk Some noise on street facing rooms but it wasn’t a problem for me and was quite by 9pm.
