"Chose this hotel as there is a free sightseeing bus. The check in staff lacks common sense as he gave me a map in Japanese even though there’s an English version as I clearly don’t speak Japanese. Need to register for breakfast and will be assigned table according even though there’s restaurant is half empty. Buffet spread is mediocre."

"Hotel is just few steps away from bus stop to/from Hakodate Airport. 5min walk from tram station. There are two buildings - Main(hotel type room) and Premier(AirBnB type). Our room is just enough for two people. Clean but a bit old. They provided yukata to be used in their onsen. Yes, their onsen is free to use for hotel guests.
We also availed of their breakfast buffet, which has a variety of food - seafood, meat, sushi, etc.
Reception Staff are polite but could be more hospitable if they wear a smile when entertaining guests.
Overall, a pleasant stay in this hotel during our 5 day Hakodate excursion."

"The room was very clean and comfortable, big enough to fit 2 large sized luggages and additional baggage.
Location is so convenient just opposite the Hakodate train station and bus station making it ideal for sightseeing around Hakodate. There are souvenir shops and a drugstore just beside the hotel.
It’s also just one street beside the Hakodate morning where you can hop over for fresh sashimi and uni. The Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses is just a walkable distance with plenty of restaurants to choose from.
The hotel bar is also nice and cosy with an amazing night view."

"The staffs were friendly and helpful. They share that the carpark beside the hotel also belongs to theirs and we may pay the car park fee to the hotel and collect the QR code slip each time we exit the carpark to enjoy multiple entrance/exit for the day. The car park fee is really affordable with multiple entrance/exit.
However for the hotel room per night considered on a high side but the hotel location was so convenient, few minutes walk to JR Hakodate Station and Hakodate Morning Market. It was a pleasant stay and first time experience in Hakodate - JR Inn Hakodate. We will definitely return if we ever come Hakodate again.

"Room size was ok for a Japanese hotel: maybe just felt larger because we had twin beds for this stay instead of a tiny double bed. Seemed quite new inside. "Cons:
This hotel is consist of south block, north block and main block. They don’t connect each other on the upper floors. My room is at the south block. I have to pass through the smoking area, with poor ventilation that the smoke actually leaks to the aisle. The aisle and lobby at the south block looks old and does not look like an ordinary hotel that should have.
I lived on the 13th floor and was surprised this is the only floor that no microwave oven provided. The water-flow is below average. It is one of the weakest among the hotels I visited so far.
The pillows are bad, too small and not comfortable for sleeping.
Pros: The room is big. Some equipments are high quality. The room inside is overall nice"

"This is our second time staying here and this time was better than the first time. We ate dinner here as well and the dinner was not as expensive as I expected. The hotel gave us a 20% discount for dinner. We went to the onsen. Everything went well. A little expensive, but the breakfast was worth it, although you have to wait 30 minutes to enter the breakfast restaurant. The room was super clean. Sone staff don’t speak English."

AAnonim Kullanıcı乾淨得讓人驚歎，服務更讓人感動，從抵達一刻沖出大門迎接的叔叔，到和服齊整語言不通仍能服務到位的阿姨，這裏就是“賓至如歸”的代名詞。酒店的一切都讓人舒適，散發著百年老店才有的古韻，所有陳設精緻講究，被精心維護。附送的露天私湯驚艷了！
ps：401房間窗外有一衹高智商海鷗，可能很多遊客餵過，早晚打開窗簾都會飛來要吃的。

CChrisYap1199Clean Apartment hotel. Interestingly they have an automated bath tub with water system. Good view and of coz a balcony for slow mornings and coffee. Location is great, only a few hundred meters to the train station. Convenience store just a few minutes walk. Near the fresh market. Staff were friendly and gave us toiletries and left it outside the room even when we did not ask for room cleaning. Spacious and great stay for Ironman participants as the unit is big, you can build your bike comfortably. Overall it was a great stay!

My recent stay at this hotel was absolutely delightful. The location couldn’t be better – perfectly situated in the bustling city center, with major attractions, shopping areas, and public transportation just a short walk away. It made exploring the city effortless and convenient.
The on-site hot spring was a real treat: clean, spacious, and with perfectly warm water that melted away all stress. Soaking there after a day out was pure bliss and true relaxation.
The room was impeccably clean, modern, and comfortable, with quality bedding and all necessary amenities. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained.
What impressed me most was the staff – everyone was genuinely polite, friendly, and attentive, always ready to help with a smile.
This hotel offers the ideal mix of prime location, soothing facilities, spotless rooms, and warm hospitality. A wonderful experience I’d highly recommend!

WWee LoonLocation is the king. Booked a room that can see the canal right off the window for a peaceful view. Otaru is a small town and most of the places are within walking distance. Stroll along the Otaru canal right in front of the hotel was great! Room itself was normal, and we have one advice for the hotel to just remove the aged cupboards in front of the beds since nobody really needs them to give more walking space and luggage space. Onsen on the top floor was decent though not of the best, offering a good view of the canal. Service at the hotel was normal. Those who have cars will need to pay 1200 yen for one day of parking (will need to inform hotel to reserve the parking space when you go out). Everybody, regardless you are going to onsen or not, needs to pay 150 yen onsen tax when you check in.

SSaSaleishaThis is the second time for the consecutive years of our stay. This hotel is the only reason for us to come back to Hokkaido again from last year’s trip. The ocean view in the room accompanied with the sound of tides / wind is peaceful and lovely; and the in-room but semi-outdoor/facing the sea onsen makes everything perfect. Also the lobby sitting area is another fascinating place for stay for a while! The downstairs souvenir shop, nearby walking distance Lawson/ 7–11 makes the location more convenient.
But maybe the expectation was too high after waiting for a year, I was disappointed for this stay several reasons:
1) too strong third hand cigarettes smell in the room, although we opened the window for 24 hours, the smell still lingered
2) check out time is WAY TOO EARLY(10 am) for a leisure purpose of stay
3) the room is clean but not the window, it hinder the view of seeing through the ocean ; and can tell the hotel is old from every corners.
I’ll reconsider to stay again if the price is worth the downside we need to compromise.

MMisafir KullanıcıWe booked this hotel for a special stay for our Christmas Day abroad and it did not disappoint. The rooms are cozy, spacious and quiet with very comfy beds. We appreciated the entry way with the closet and shoe rack. We also appreciated the shower with great pressure, the large sink counter and the Japanese style toilet. There was also a good amount of toiletries provided. We had Japanese style pajamas, slippers for the room, sandals to go around the hotel in and even slippers specifically for the toilet area. The room has a large TV and you can connect to it with an HDMI cable or screencast but we could not figure out how to screencast. The hotel primarily caters to Japanese so the important stuff was in English but the little things like the remote control and temperature control were not.
We booked our stay with the buffet dinner and breakfast and for our stay it seems that all the greatest hits for Japanese cuisine were out. For dinner they had a steak grilling station, a BBQ scallop station, a sushi chef, crab dumplings and all kinds of accompaniments. For the dessert they had an array of tasty sweets but we enjoyed the macarons and Hokkaido ice cream the most. The breakfast was equally fantastic with a miso soup station, all kinds of sashimi, black pork dumplings, fried chicken and all kinds of crowd pleasers. There is a juice station and a coffee machine that makes all kinds of drinks so we were very pleased with the meals. We appreciated the plates and small dishes that allowed for small portions so we could pretty much try everything. Some items at the buffet did run out and these were specifically the small dishes - it is worth going early for breakfast and dinner because some items are not replenished and I found quite a few of these very delicious!
There isn't much around the hotel other than a 7-11 and a small botanical garden across the bridge but it is definitely a hotel meant to stay in and enjoy. We went to the onsen at night and in the morning and really enjoyed the outdoor bath which was sea facing. At night you could hear the waves and see the stars and during the day you could enjoy the beach and mountain view. The onsen baths have a variety of temperature pools and saunas and good bath products. There is a machine that dispenses a few pop flavours, cold tea and mineral water in the change room. There was a variety of self care products available in the change rooms as well like toothbrushes and razors.
Our room was very cozy after our bath and we found that the temperature for the hotel was possibly centrally controlled and not adjustable according to Google translation. It was set at a balmy 24 but we did figure out how to turn it off and got a comfortable night's rest. I wasn't a big fan of the hard toothbrushes that were provided mainly because the toothbrush used a coating rather than toothpaste which makes them truly single use.
The hotel offers quite a few amenities outside of the onsen area but the onsen was the highlight for us. They have a lounge area with lots of seats looking out to the sea near the front desk, a separate restaurant from the buffet restaurant, a souvenir shop that sells drinks too and luggage storage. We aren't sure if there are multiple floors with laundry machines but the one laundry room we did find only had one machine so this might not be a hotel to do your laundry at.
The hotel is easily accessible from both the train station and airport. From the train station you can take a bus or the tram which would take about 30 minutes and from the airport there are some dedicated busses that will take about 15 minutes. The bus station and tram station closest to the hotel is Yunokawa Onsen.
This was a great stay for us and we felt one night here was perfect. There is a lot to see in Hakodate and had we stayed longer we would have chosen a more economical option but this truly was a special treat for us.

エエゾシカ伝道師お宿のスタッフの方々の対応か温かく、かつ節度があり、とても心地よく過ごさせて頂きました。
禁煙可能なお部屋が多い中、喫煙者である同伴者は大変喜んでおりました。
加えて、部屋に残るニオイの対応もしっかりとされており、心地よく過ごす事が出来ると思います。
肝心の温泉ですが、源泉のパワーを頂く事が出来る
大満足の温泉です！
又、入りたいと思っております♪
