"The room was very clean and comfortable, big enough to fit 2 large sized luggages and additional baggage.
Location is so convenient just opposite the Hakodate train station and bus station making it ideal for sightseeing around Hakodate. There are souvenir shops and a drugstore just beside the hotel.
It’s also just one street beside the Hakodate morning where you can hop over for fresh sashimi and uni. The Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses is just a walkable distance with plenty of restaurants to choose from.
The hotel bar is also nice and cosy with an amazing night view."

"I was impressed with everything from the moment I arrived. The staff were incredibly polite and attentive, making the stay even more pleasant. The room was spacious, clean, and fully equipped with everything I needed—it truly felt like staying in a private apartment. It was very comfortable and convenient.
My favorite part was definitely the onsen. It was very large and offered several different baths to choose from. The atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful. What made it even better was that it was open all night until morning, so I could enjoy it anytime I wanted. It was such a wonderful experience, and I would definitely love to stay here again💛"

"The hotel is really worth the price!
Cleanliness: good! Nearly perfect; there are still some hairs inside the toilet, but the rest is really good! Keep it up!
Facilities: They have free water to drink near the elevator. I really love that! They also have an express checkout box in front of the hotel to save time! The wifi is good.
The design is also minimal and luxurious~~
they also have shoes adjustment stick!
the staff: They’re nice and do their jobs perfectly!
Location: It’s around a 6-7 min walk from JR Sapporo, and they have a delicious place to hang out next to the hotel!
space: my room has a semi-double bed, so it’s slightly bigger than usual. It’s a normal Japan hotel size! If you are tall or have a big body, you might find it’s uncomfortable, but for me it’s fine, and there’s some space to pack my luggage!"

"I had a great stay at JR Inn. The location is very convenient — it’s close to the bus station and the JR station, so getting around is very easy. The room isn’t as tight as typical Japanese hotels; it’s small but well-equipped and comfortable. I also enjoyed the hot spring on the 12th floor — it’s free and the facilities are really good. Overall, a pleasant and convenient stay! Good view from the room"

"A huge hotel without any personal attention. No hello when you enter the shop of the hotel, this is the first time for my experience in Japan. Cleaning service is not optimal, still some plastics left behind on the desk between the guide. No tea bags in the room when we want to have a cup of tea, go to reception to get the tea bags and the first thing the staff asks is which room number, after that then I get the tea bags, no any apologies for no tea bags available in the room.
The hot spring is huge but also a lot of people, very crowded, no space and no time to enjoy the hotspots spring. One very good thing, you can get an icecream after the hot spring."

"Cons:
This hotel is consist of south block, north block and main block. They don’t connect each other on the upper floors. My room is at the south block. I have to pass through the smoking area, with poor ventilation that the smoke actually leaks to the aisle. The aisle and lobby at the south block looks old and does not look like an ordinary hotel that should have.
I lived on the 13th floor and was surprised this is the only floor that no microwave oven provided. The water-flow is below average. It is one of the weakest among the hotels I visited so far.
The pillows are bad, too small and not comfortable for sleeping.
Pros: The room is big. Some equipments are high quality. The room inside is overall nice"

Breakfast comes in a a personal set and is delicious. The room facing the beach front view hearing sound of the ocean is serene and peaceful. Staff are all friendly and professional.

MMisafir KullanıcıI stayed in a D-Fourth Non smoking room on the 8th floor. The room has a nice view of Mount Hakodate from the balcony and a view of the port from the bedroom window. Room was clean and there is daily cleaning if you ask for it. Cooking utensils are available though no condiments provided. The bath system is electronic and took a while to figure out how to use it. Room was spacious and adequate for 4 of us. What we loved is that while the dryer did not really dry our clothes (separate washer and dryer), the heater in the room was strong enough to dry them and we could borrow a rack from the hotel to hang them out to dry. Only improvement we would like to suggest - we arrived when it was snowing heavily, and as we moved our luggage into the room the floor became wet and dirtied, we had to clean with tissue as there is no floor cleaner available.would be nice to provide self cleaning tools especially since there is a kitchen and things might spill. And also the balcony did not have any ‘balcony’ shoes so it was just too cold to step outside to enjoy the scenary. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Would choose it again if we go Hakodate.

The convenience continues right outside the door, with a variety of food options and a convenience store just steps away, perfect for any need.
The hotel's onsen was a true highlight. It was wonderfully relaxing and the perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The facilities were clean and well-maintained.
Combining prime location, great amenities, and a relaxing onsen, this hotel offers outstanding value. I highly recommend La'gent Stay Hakodate Ekimae and would not hesitate to book here again.

WWee LoonLocation is the king. Booked a room that can see the canal right off the window for a peaceful view. Otaru is a small town and most of the places are within walking distance. Stroll along the Otaru canal right in front of the hotel was great! Room itself was normal, and we have one advice for the hotel to just remove the aged cupboards in front of the beds since nobody really needs them to give more walking space and luggage space. Onsen on the top floor was decent though not of the best, offering a good view of the canal. Service at the hotel was normal. Those who have cars will need to pay 1200 yen for one day of parking (will need to inform hotel to reserve the parking space when you go out). Everybody, regardless you are going to onsen or not, needs to pay 150 yen onsen tax when you check in.

JJesscacaAbout 10-15mins driving distance from the city center. Parking is located next to it (around 2mins walking distance) where u have to walk through an alley to hotel main door. Perhaps they can install a street light in the alley way or a back door near to parking lots coz it is quite dark and scary to walk alone.
Breakfast is lack of variety but acceptable.
Other than these, overall is satisfied.

MMisafir KullanıcıI absolutely love Hanabishi Hotel — I had the best 2-night stay here. The hotel is quiet with no large tour groups, and I really enjoyed the traditional feel and relaxing vibes. I tried all of their room types, and my favorite is the futon room with a private onsen. The futon is very comfortable, and the room itself is incredibly spacious.
The staff are friendly and helpful, even assisting me with arranging taxi service. The location is convenient, only about a 10-minute drive from Hakodate Airport. I also loved both the breakfast buffet and the dinner set — they truly pampered me like I was the queen of the world.
The public onsen is beautiful and huge. I will forever choose to stay here whenever I’m in the area.

The check in staff lacks common sense as he gave me a map in Japanese even though there’s an English version as I clearly don’t speak Japanese. Need to register for breakfast and will be assigned table according even though there’s restaurant is half empty. Buffet spread is mediocre.

Although overall my two nights stay were comfortable. Room is clean, Breakfast is good. Free reman at night is nice. Convenient location, next to the Bay Area. It’s about 10-15 min walk from Hakodate Train station. Taxi ride is about ¥700.

SSaSaleishaThis is the second time for the consecutive years of our stay. This hotel is the only reason for us to come back to Hokkaido again from last year’s trip. The ocean view in the room accompanied with the sound of tides / wind is peaceful and lovely; and the in-room but semi-outdoor/facing the sea onsen makes everything perfect. Also the lobby sitting area is another fascinating place for stay for a while! The downstairs souvenir shop, nearby walking distance Lawson/ 7–11 makes the location more convenient.
But maybe the expectation was too high after waiting for a year, I was disappointed for this stay several reasons:
1) too strong third hand cigarettes smell in the room, although we opened the window for 24 hours, the smell still lingered
2) check out time is WAY TOO EARLY(10 am) for a leisure purpose of stay
3) the room is clean but not the window, it hinder the view of seeing through the ocean ; and can tell the hotel is old from every corners.
I’ll reconsider to stay again if the price is worth the downside we need to compromise.

禁煙可能なお部屋が多い中、喫煙者である同伴者は大変喜んでおりました。
加えて、部屋に残るニオイの対応もしっかりとされており、心地よく過ごす事が出来ると思います。
肝心の温泉ですが、源泉のパワーを頂く事が出来る
