It was wonderfully relaxing and the perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. "We stayed at LC Goryokaku Hotel during our family trip to Hakodate and were pleasantly surprised by how well it suited our needs. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from Goryokaku Park and the Tower, which made it easy for us to explore the area with our kids without needing transportation all the time. The room was clean, spacious enough for a small family, and had thoughtful touches like slippers, toiletries, and even a small seating area where we could unwind. The beds were comfortable, and we appreciated the quiet at night, which made it easy for the children to fall asleep. The hotel also offers free drinks in the lounge, which was a nice touch, and there's a laundry area, which is very useful when traveling with kids."

"I was impressed with everything from the moment I arrived. The staff were incredibly polite and attentive, making the stay even more pleasant. The room was spacious, clean, and fully equipped with everything I needed—it truly felt like staying in a private apartment. It was very comfortable and convenient. My favorite part was definitely the onsen. It was very large and offered several different baths to choose from. The atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful. What made it even better was that it was open all night until morning, so I could enjoy it anytime I wanted. It was such a wonderful experience, and I would definitely love to stay here again💛"

"The room was very clean and comfortable, big enough to fit 2 large sized luggages and additional baggage. Location is so convenient just opposite the Hakodate train station and bus station making it ideal for sightseeing around Hakodate. There are souvenir shops and a drugstore just beside the hotel. It’s also just one street beside the Hakodate morning where you can hop over for fresh sashimi and uni. The Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses is just a walkable distance with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The hotel bar is also nice and cosy with an amazing night view."

"The view from hotel room and rooftop are nice. But the hotel does need some upgrades. The room and Hot Springs facilities are kind of old. Although overall my two nights stay were comfortable. Room is clean, Breakfast is good. Free reman at night is nice. Convenient location, next to the Bay Area. It’s about 10-15 min walk from Hakodate Train station. Taxi ride is about ¥700. "

"Cool little hotel hidden away in a corner of Hakodate. It's still walking distance from the station and other sights, the price is extremely affordable and they have snacks machines in the lobby. I got a very ”chilly” vibe from the lobby - the staff are just standing around in silence, no music, seems kind of dreary? They could do something to make the lobby area seem more pleasant and fun, but overall I was happy to get such a great deal, and I would stay there again."

"The room itself was a little bit small and quite cramped. Just about enough space for one. But if you are plus sized it might seem too small. The toilet was also slightly narrow. Facilities were great, with onsen available. Within touching distance of the local public street car and bus stop. Front desk were really friendly and helpful despite the limited English spoken. They also operate early from 8am till fairly late 10pm. And the nearest konbini was also only about 200m away."

"The hotel is really worth the price! Cleanliness: good! Nearly perfect; there are still some hairs inside the toilet, but the rest is really good! Keep it up! Facilities: They have free water to drink near the elevator. I really love that! They also have an express checkout box in front of the hotel to save time! The wifi is good. The design is also minimal and luxurious~~ they also have shoes adjustment stick! the staff: They’re nice and do their jobs perfectly! Location: It’s around a 6-7 min walk from JR Sapporo, and they have a delicious place to hang out next to the hotel! space: my room has a semi-double bed, so it’s slightly bigger than usual. It’s a normal Japan hotel size! If you are tall or have a big body, you might find it’s uncomfortable, but for me it’s fine, and there’s some space to pack my luggage!"

I had a great stay at JR Inn. The location is very convenient — it’s close to the bus station and the JR station, so getting around is very easy. The room isn’t as tight as typical Japanese hotels; it’s small but well-equipped and comfortable. I also enjoyed the hot spring on the 12th floor — it’s free and the facilities are really good. Overall, a pleasant and convenient stay! Good view from the room

Chose this hotel as there is a free sightseeing bus. The check in staff lacks common sense as he gave me a map in Japanese even though there’s an English version as I clearly don’t speak Japanese. Need to register for breakfast and will be assigned table according even though there’s restaurant is half empty. Buffet spread is mediocre.

I absolutely love Hanabishi Hotel — I had the best 2-night stay here. The hotel is quiet with no large tour groups, and I really enjoyed the traditional feel and relaxing vibes. I tried all of their room types, and my favorite is the futon room with a private onsen. The futon is very comfortable, and the room itself is incredibly spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful, even assisting me with arranging taxi service. The location is convenient, only about a 10-minute drive from Hakodate Airport. I also loved both the breakfast buffet and the dinner set — they truly pampered me like I was the queen of the world. The public onsen is beautiful and huge. I will forever choose to stay here whenever I’m in the area.

About 10-15mins driving distance from the city center. Parking is located next to it (around 2mins walking distance) where u have to walk through an alley to hotel main door. Perhaps they can install a street light in the alley way or a back door near to parking lots coz it is quite dark and scary to walk alone. Breakfast is lack of variety but acceptable. Other than these, overall is satisfied.

Cons: This hotel is consist of south block, north block and main block. They don’t connect each other on the upper floors. My room is at the south block. I have to pass through the smoking area, with poor ventilation that the smoke actually leaks to the aisle. The aisle and lobby at the south block looks old and does not look like an ordinary hotel that should have. I lived on the 13th floor and was surprised this is the only floor that no microwave oven provided. The water-flow is below average. It is one of the weakest among the hotels I visited so far. The pillows are bad, too small and not comfortable for sleeping. Pros: The room is big. Some equipments are high quality. The room inside is overall nice

Authentic Japanese style hotel that own a hot spring underneath the property. The hotel provides public bath, but private baths are also available for reservation. Breakfast comes in a a personal set and is delicious. The room facing the beach front view hearing sound of the ocean is serene and peaceful. Staff are all friendly and professional.

A huge hotel without any personal attention. No hello when you enter the shop of the hotel, this is the first time for my experience in Japan. Cleaning service is not optimal, still some plastics left behind on the desk between the guide. No tea bags in the room when we want to have a cup of tea, go to reception to get the tea bags and the first thing the staff asks is which room number, after that then I get the tea bags, no any apologies for no tea bags available in the room. The hot spring is huge but also a lot of people, very crowded, no space and no time to enjoy the hotspots spring. One very good thing, you can get an icecream after the hot spring.

The hotel location is good. Easy to take bus/tram to many areas. The hotel staffs are helpful & friendly. There are many information we can get from the staffs & hotel notice boards of nearby eateries & tourist spot. The room is a bit small but it is expected.

お宿のスタッフの方々の対応か温かく、かつ節度があり、とても心地よく過ごさせて頂きました。 禁煙可能なお部屋が多い中、喫煙者である同伴者は大変喜んでおりました。 加えて、部屋に残るニオイの対応もしっかりとされており、心地よく過ごす事が出来ると思います。 肝心の温泉ですが、源泉のパワーを頂く事が出来る 大満足の温泉です！ 又、入りたいと思っております♪
