"We booked two Studio Suite Twin for a family stay for 2 days. The staff was kind enough to give us adjoining rooms. The fixture and fittings are a bit old but the rooms, bed linen and couches were clean. The kettle in one of the rooms was faulty and a small table in the other room was wobbly. Both were replaced immediately. We enjoyed the space we had with the connecting rooms. On the second day, we did not leave our rooms until past 10am. The housekeeping team came twice to check if we wanted our rooms cleaned. We asked them to return half an hour later to do the housekeeping. However, when we returned to the rooms in the evening, the rooms were not cleaned yet. After a call to the reception and a talk with a staff member who came to the room, the rooms were cleaned promptly after that. I think the rooms need an upgrade. The hotel still provides small bottles of shampoo, hair conditioner and bath soap whereas newer hotels have changed to refillable pump bottles for these toiletries. We noticed that some towels have blood and dirt stains on them. Overall, we had a comfortable stay at the hotel."

"A family of 5 adults stayed from Friday to Sunday (3D2N). Pros: 1. Great service attitude from all the hotel staff, especially the facilities intern guy, lift concierge guy, and the front receptionist day shift lady. 2. Good location if you prefer to stay away from the Hatten/Jonker crowds. 3. Good room size and views (we stayed in a 3-bedroom apartment on level 36) Cons: 1. Super slow lift (average waiting time 5 minutes). 2. Faulty door upon check-in. The facilities guy spent about an hour to handle it. 3. TV will always lose the signal. Need to go to the TB settings and do the Digital Auto Tuning. Which will take about 30 minutes. 4. Low shower water pressure (rain shower works slightly better). 5. The apartment has a washer dryer (but is unable to dry completely even with the dryer mode). No rack is available. Clothes hanger can't be removed from cabinet, so one will need to be creative. 6. The apartment has a kitchen but only provided 3 sets of plates and mugs, 5 small bowls (enough to fill a serving of rice). No cooking utensils are available. Working oven, fridge, and water kettle. 7. The hotel is unable to help if you need additional anything (utensils, cutlery, drying rack, etc..). Overall, the stay is okay, but we won't be back. The quality of stay is not worth the price we paid."

"• Lobby , elevator - No smell ( Good ) • Location - Short walking distance from attraction places ( Happy with this ) • Room is spacious and get enough sunlight. ( Good ) • Air-con - I think it is new. Worked well. ( Good ) • Cleanliness - They need a deep cleaning. Lots of dust. Saw a cockroach.The toilet bowl also needs deep cleaning.The chair. 🥹 • Bad sound proof - Could not sleep well because I could hear whenever other rooms use the toilets and noises from the tapwater and air-con compressor. (Not sure whether it is really AC compressor but really loud.) It is okay not to provide very good amenities but the cleanliness really needs improvemet."

"Just opened last week of Dec 2025 so the rooms and facilities like pool & gym are brand new. It’s more a serviced apartment than a hotel with ample parking. We enjoyed the stay as the rooms are huge with a balcony and the beds are very comfortable. The staff are friendly and service is excellent. It’s located just within 2km from Jonker Street and Kedai Kopi Kheng Juan Hin which I highly recommend for breakfast. Only gripe is the high flooring kerb as you step into the room and bathroom which we almost trip and fall. Will definitely be back if I’m very visiting Melaka in the future."

"Stayed overnight recently and overall had a pleasant experience. Location is convenient if you’re driving, but not very pedestrian-friendly. The hotel has an industrial, chic design that’s visually appealing, though it can feel a little sterile. Check-in was smooth and the service throughout the stay was excellent. Breakfast is simple but adequate, some hit and miss dishes like the noodle in prawn broth was super bland and tasteless. Only small gripe: the trays are a bit too tall for fun-sized people 🤭. We were assigned a corner room, which came with a smaller window, and a few practical issues: • Power outlet is quite far from the bed • Bathroom is tiny, and the door opens inward • No trash bags in the bins, which was a bit inconvenient • TV isn’t a smart TV • No pool • Open-air corridor with no AC, so it gets very hot when walking to and from the room Despite these drawbacks, it’s still a decent stay if you value style, good service, and plan to get around by car."

"This is one of the best hotel stay in Melaka , never regret booking this hotel Near Jonker street , walkable distance , if you are tired can take their bicycle back quite cool Cost around 30-40rm The hotel staffs is all friendly assist you on every needs you need. "We really enjoyed our stay at Sterling Hotel. The best part is definitely the location — it’s just a short walk to the Red House and Jonker Street. This saved us so much time since we didn’t have to worry about finding parking around Jonker, which can be a real headache. The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly, making the whole stay pleasant. If you’re planning to explore Melaka’s heritage area, this hotel is super convenient and makes everything easier."

"I was attending my uni friends wedding at Melaka. Together with me was my boyfriend and one of our friend. We booked deluxe two bedroom suite. If there is any signage outside will be better for us to confirm the location, we were checked with the security guard to ensure the hotel location. It was beside the Countyard. The living room was surprisingly large. It also included a microwave for some food heat up. And the nearby convenience store 7-11 was within 6 mins (walking distance) from the hotel. Thinking that by providing a disposable slippers would have been helpful, as the floor felt cold with the air conditioning on."
