"We had a great stay in the hotel. The facility is very modern and everything is super clean. The location is close to the city wall and you can walk to the city center in 10 minutes.
The owners are very helpful and picked us up at the train station. Bicycles are available for free and it is possible to make laundry.

"A very good home stay/hotel that I highly recommend for anyone who travel to Datong. It’s at the entrance of the Datong Ancient City, very convenient to walk around for shops and restaurants. The hotel staffs and owner are very friendly to accommodate our needs. Lift is available and good for family with elderly. The pick up and drop off service to stations are the best!
There are some problems on the bed sizes when we checked in but the owner resolve in a friendly way. Highly recommended for a special stay!"

"It’s really really nice room, it’s really clean, and even there’s no windows in our room but we didn’t care much because it was very comfortable.
Thank you to the girls at the front desk who were so helpful and kind! They were very accommodating.
This was one of the most value-for-money hotels we’ve stayed in. Location is great too. Would recommend to friends! :) Thanks again!"

"We arrived quite late but owner still up waiting for us. The room was very well maintained. It has refreshments and the location is superb. The downside is that the room has a lurking smoke smell which we are unsure where it came from as our room is standalone and the air con is an individual unit and not the central aircon."

"The hotel is located in a strategic place, close to all the attractions of the city of Datong. The hotel is new, welcoming, with comfortable beds. The traditional breakfast is delicious. But the best thing about this accommodation is its owners and staff. They are uniquely kind and efficient. They organized a trip to the Hanging Temple and the Yun gang caves for us. They offer the transportation to and from the train station. I would absolutely recommend this place. My only regret is not staying at least one more day to better explore the city, which truly has so much to offer. Thank you!"

"Staying at this hotel was a very special experience for our family amongst many from our trip to China. The hotel is in a great location (within the old city, quiet, but handy to all the key sites and restaurants), the service provided by staff was excellent and attentive (they went out of their way to show us around, drop off and pickup, provided afternoon snacks, provided a brilliantly locally inspired breakfast), high quality of the rooms (very comfortable beds, shower, modern and clean). Overall I would highly recommend as the best option to stay in Datong!"

"Nanshe is a brand new hotel located in the downtown area. The building itself is brand new, modeled in chinese traditional courtyard style. The area is quiet but close to attractions and shopping streets 大同不夜城. It is located next to the datong ancient city walls north gate, within walking distance to nine dragons wall, huayan temple, shanhua temple and the Southeast Yi Historical and Cultural Block. There is also a bus stop outside that goes round the area.Cab fare is less than 30 rmb to Yungang Grottoes and Datong south highspeed train station.
Friendly and attentive staff checking for allergy if any. The owner was kind enough to meet me at the train station. Breakfast is simple fare consists of millet congee with side dishes, tasty noodles in warm broth, toasts and local pastries etc. Freshly made coffee from a semi auto coffee maker. Hotel serves light sweet soup to guests before dinner. Free fruits and cookies in the lobby. Washing machine and dryer are avail for use. My room has an overhead projector with wide selection of movies. Clean and comfortable. Room has many wall sockets for charging. Bathroom is huge. Deposit 200 rmb as all the facilities are brand new. Enjoyable stay. Datong is delightful a comination of the old and new."

"Very nice stay directly in the heart of the old City. You can easily take Bus 38 in front of the hotel to the Yugang Grottoes.
The hotel itselfbis very roomy with big bathrooms and a inner courtyard. Everything was very clean and had a nice charme. The bed is very big but a little on the hard side.
The shower was fairly good and they have a japanese toilet.
The staff was very friendly and helpful."

"Me and two friends had a wonderful stay at this hotel—the rooms were clean, modern, and very comfortable. But the best part was the staff, especially the front desk team. Despite the language barrier, they were incredibly warm, patient, and went out of their way to assist us. Their kindness and professionalism truly stood out!
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great service and a pleasant stay. Can’t wait to visit again!"

MMisafir KullanıcıI can’t stop raving about this inn. It is a B&B style three stories tall inn located inside the Datong Ancient City. Complimentary shuttle service between the airport or railway station made it really convenient for out of town travelers. The guest room was clean and equipped with modern facilities like automatic toilets, coded entry, projection screens, etc. The inn is located near the north gate of the city amongst other accommodations. Within minutes of walking is access to the top of the city wall where bike rental is available to ride along the wall. The inn is very quiet at night. The inn is family operated and everyone was very hospitable. What sets this inn apart from other accommodations in the area is their dedication to service. The owner knew I was a tourist and new to the area, she offered to pick me up if I got lost wandering the ancient city. The breakfast came with my reservation. When the owner found out I had to depart before breakfast serving hours, she went above and beyond to prepare food and served me 30 minutes ahead of schedule. The food tasted amazing and came with abundant varieties and huge portions. It was definitely not part of the service to drop off at another venue, but the owner took me to my next accommodation 2km away. I truly appreciate everything this inn and its staff has done for me. I am so glad to have chosen to stay this beautiful little inn on my first night in Datong. I will definitely stay here again without a doubt on my next visit.

MMisafir KullanıcıThe hotel is located near to Mount Hengshan where the owner provides VIP service to drive you through and fro of the shuttle bus location to Mount Hengshan (北岳恒山). It is also located at Hanging Temple (悬空寺). The staff are friendly and helpful providing information to book the tickets at a specific tourist center location which is far away from the 2 attractions. They also drove me to the local bus interchange for my next destination in Datong. The room is spacious and very clean. I did not have to turn on the air conditioning as the weather was still cooling.

YYanlongzi十一之前尋找民宿，感覺這是個在上升期的民宿，以後的排名會更高，果然如此，在整個仿古建築聚集區顯得很懂北京人需求。
我定的房間有點小，是因為假期訂的比較晚衹有這間，但是淋浴間設計得非常好，我一看這是牆壁大磚、地面同色系防滑方磚用於做坡度回型地漏，**儲物、大功率浴暖、漢斯格雅噴頭花灑，對這個淋浴間裝修的專業性暗生佩服。
公區非常大，有免費咖啡熱飲，茶台供享用，小院子很舒服。
下午茶，有手工餛飩有燕窩的早餐對這麼個收費的民宿來説都有點意外了。
空山寮丨GMC豪華房車接機、送機、接站、送站四選一:主人親自接送機非常熱情。
下次還來，帶朋友們包整院。

*The place is close to the scenic spot (few minutes by car).
*The breakfast is not too bad. Few choices but it will fill you up.No drinks (juice or coffee).
*The accomodation was nice to drop and pick us up at the scenic area.They dropped us off to the bus station going to Datong city.
*Problem was the bad odour coming from the toilet. We think it’s from the drainage. We can’t even open the door for few minutes for air to come in because it is freezing. It’s negative degrees.
*The room was nice and comfortable. I can’t find photos or video of the interior. The size of the room is perfect. It has a long bench.Table with 1 small chair.Tv, closet, slippers,toothbrush, hair dryer,kettle and 2 bottle of water.

It’s located in an apartment block.go to the 7th floor,the entire floor being owned by the same company.The lady is absolutely delightful,charming and attentive to your request. The room is nicely decorated, big,clean,with all the necessary amenities ( the only issue is that all the bathroom towels are disposable and quite small but still ok)
Location of perfect if you need to take or coming from a speed train.plenty of restaurants around. Highly recommended

MMisafir KullanıcıOur stay was perfection! We wouldn’t stay anywhere else! Perfectly located inside the old city of Datong, we walked everywhere and absolutely loved feeling in the center of it all! Beautiful room, super grand, clean, loads of space, very friendly owners, and 100% recommended with kids. The toilet was amazing, the shower water nicely hot, beds super comfy - we had a wonderful 2-night stay with our three children!

MMisafir KullanıcıCab fare from Hunyuan bus station to hotel is RMB10(fixed price),from hotel to Hengshan and Xuankong temple is RMB20 and 15 respectively. Hotel staff provided great service and advice, helping with the laundry washing and gave us aloe Vera gel for moisturising. They also helped us to confirm the bus trip from Hunyuan to Wutaishan by calling and contacting the bus station staff to ensure we will not be cheated. There's a shopping centre opposite which sells apparel and shoes at wholesale price. Lots of food options nearby too

Even though the style is traditional, everything inside the room is new, and there's even an elevator to take up bags. The location is amazing too, inside the old city wall, and I walked everywhere except the out of town attractions I visited. I think anywhere you stay in Datong you might have some communication challenges if you don't speak Chinese, but the owner here was very helpful once I put wechat on my phone to be able to talk with translation help, and he was able to arrange a last minute taxi out to the hanging temple after I had given up trying to get one. However, even though he was very helpful, he wasn't always around, and checking in was a bit difficult because there was nobody at the desk. I think this is only a problem if you don't speak Chinese though.
Unfortunately, the wifi didn't always reach to my room on the 3rd floor well, and I could only get a trickle of hot water out of the shower. Overall though, I was super happy with this place and would recommend it!

MMisafir KullanıcıAjummah at the front desk is very accommodating. I arrived at 6:30am and they were able to provide me a room at 8am. Very close to the railway station. The downside is room smells tobacco. The common bathroom is extremely dirty and smells like urine. There were even poop left is there without flashing down. I had to go up to the 3rd floor and use the bathroom there instead of the one in our floor.
No towels, toiletries, slippers, hair dryer. If you just need a day to rest that is near the railways station, you can book this, otherwise look for other hotels in the area.
